This lesson was nothing! The NEXT lesson is the one where you will really PRACTICE using Czech Adjectives: ua-cam.com/video/IF0MnAVVtB4/v-deo.html
Thank you for the videos!
This exercise solved my understanding of using Adjectives. Big love for you. 🙂
Děkuji! Happy to hear!
Thank you so much for helping us with these amazing lessons, you're incredible, greetings from Brazil 🥰😊
Thank you! That makes me feel so great!!
Sometimes could differentiate the í and ý, but not very sensitive about this in conversation.
Í x Ý - pronunciation is the same
the difference is between I x Í (or Y x Ý)
I don't really hear the difference. I can hear a difference in the "n" sound, but not really in the "i/y" sound.
There is no difference in i/y sound, purpose of i/y is only show some grammar things in writting system, it's not about pronunciation. People from Moravia would not agree, but they speak in dialect, so don't listen to them, there is no difference. Only important thing you must remember is that when there is i after D, T or N, it's turned to softened Ď, Ť and Ň. When you write byt or bit, there is no difference in pronunciation.
Hi Jenna, in that case you hear correctly! the difference is really in the N sound. You either hear harder N and then it is the hard adjective -NÝ. Or you hear it softer, like Ň - and then it is the soft adjective -NÍ.
Great lesson! Thank you!
Thanks love!
Oh thanks for uploading the video! I was anxiously waiting last Monday but I guess you didn’t upload any. Thank you so much, appreciate it 😊🙏🏻
Thanks Roma, that makes me feel so great that you are waiting! Last week I had a bit of a break. Me and my family went on a spontaneous holiday and I somehow didn't prepare fast enough. :))) Will do my best not to skip in future! xxx
@@CzechWithKaterina ohhh I see👍 hope you had a good one!! Thanks for replying 🤗
you are a great teacher Thank you !
Thank you! 😃 Appreciate the words!
Děkuji moc Kateřina. I hear the difference 😉
Také děkuji za komentář!
Dobrá práce.
Dekuij from Thai lady😊❤
Aah, ok will watch your other video again. Thank you.❤
did the other video help a little?
with the adjectives, focus on the difference between the ending
-Ňí - this one you pronounce Ň softer because it has the soft Í after it.
-Ný
@@CzechWithKaterina Yes, practising it. Thank you.
Great video
Děkuji moc!!! :) x
all love from lebanonnnnn and yes i can hear the difference
Thank you! All the love from Prague!
I can kind of hear it.. but it's pretty subtle for me..
Hi Aline, I understand it can be pretty subtle. I guess the main difference is heard in the N in the end. Either you hear soft Ňí or hard Ný.
Happy you hear at least something, with a little practice it will become natural in that case.
Ahoj Kateřina! I can hear the difference. In Spanish, the sound of "ní" is similar to "ñi" and the sound of "ný" is similar to ni.
Perfektní!
Učíte velmi dobře češtinu je to velmi těžký jazyk já bych na to neměl nervy jsem čech
Ahoj Matyáši, moc děkuju za uznání a za moc pěkný komentář. Souhlas! Lehký určitě není. Ale beru to tak, že žádný jazyk není úplně lehký, každý má to své a vyžaduje spousty práce studenta i lektora. Ale když se ho člověk naučí, stojí to zato. :)
The i, epsilon difference is slight but I only messed up on studeny. Dekuji moc pro tá lekce!
Super, taky děkuji za komentář. :)
Sorry, when referring to a group of things/ people with mixed genders (both masculine and feminine) which adjective form is used? Masculine plural or neuter plural?
For example, in passive would I need to say "my byli..." or "my byla..."?
Thanks in advance!
My byli :)
can only slightly hear a difference between soft (moderni) and hard (krasny) adjectives.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Děkuju moc. :)
theyy alwayss alwayss alwayss alwayss ALWAYSSSSS ends with a vowellll
😁😁😁😁😁
Haha happy this entertained you for a little! :D
Why in “dobrou noc” , dobrou is used not dobrý noc?
Iqbal, dobrá otázka!!! :)
It is a different case, you will learn about them maybe a little later. It comes from the sentence: I wish you good night. - Přeju Ti dobrou noc.
In this sentence "dobrou noc" is in the form of accusative case.
I am sure you shall master this case pretty soon :)))
I can't hear it :(
uuuups! any chance you can ask a czech friend to try reading it for you again? sometimes it helps when its in person :)
I enjoy your manner but I have to admit that I can't distinguish between the soft and the hard adjective endings. I teach English, speak 3 other languages, am a professional musician and work with classical singers in music where the pronunciation is crucial, and whatever difference there is between moderní and krásn´y I can't hear.
got 15 out of 18 right :>
I really can't hear the difference.🙈🤔
oh no, sorry to hear that.
dítě means baby and this is neutre?????
Hey, dítě means child and yes, it is TO DÍTĚ, all babies and baby animals are neutre in Czech.
@@CzechWithKaterina then the generes iare different to spanish!!!?? Then we have to learn that lesson!
Groups of thinks/people/different animals with both genders take always masculine gender.
Endings of Adjectives reffering to nouns(substantives) of different gender .

I can hear the difference as krasný being soft and vice versa🙈
Ups! Maybe try these two pronunciation lessons again and focus just on the soft and hard pronunciation difference!
