I bought this on a 45 back in the 70's as a single. It was by Suzie and the Red Stripes. Still have it somewhere. At the time I liked that the vinyl was actually yellow in color.

You know what's crazy? The very black skinned caricature of that little girl doesn't come off as offensive to me, because within her super dark skinned image and portrayal, it suggests if not highlights the fact that she is and the other people are physically beautiful. And, I'm a fairly militant person when it comes to the portrayal of any black people in film or cartoon images.
I was actually just thinking the very same thing. I’ve never seen this video until now despite being 31 lol, but from the get to, it was just beauty, love and wonderful portrayal of a darker skin. She nailed it, showed the playfulness of the characters etc. Nothing here was offensive.
See it goes to show you don't have to be a whiny ass every time somebody draws a caricature. Regardless of what you think I promise you the people who think like you will cancel this as fast as they could if they had the opportunity. So spare us your smug Superior mock tolerance of art

There's no other way to accurately draw a native Jamaican in a cartoon form it was never racist. And Paul has always been the Beatle who gave Black musicians a big break like Hendrix, Billy Preston, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder.

Linda was a non-assuming and quiet soul. I can vouch personally for that when she pulled up in an MPL Merc outside my flat in Vale Road Liverpool. My guess was she was doing’ a quick revisit of Beatles Homes. She’d just come from Forthlin and this was her next stop…we know where? She acknowledged me with a smile. Gobsmacked!
