Paul and Linda set the example of what a true marriage is about. It's not about roles and responsibilities but about tenderness and kindness in all they did together. RIP Linda.

Wow...what a story. I have alot of respect for Paul. He seems very down to earth for being one of the most talented musicians in the history of music! And it's such an awful tragedy that her life was cut short due to cancer.
A USA story of Beetles - Linda studied fine arts at University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ but quit before she graduated. Paul and Linda owned a 151 acre ranch on the Tanque Verde River in Tucson, AZ and lived there most of their marriage years. Linda died April 17, 1998 at their ranch in Pima County Tucson, Arizona at age 56. I have seen their ranch in Tucson which I believe Paul still owns. When I lived in Mesa, AZ my next door neighbor owned a TACK, Vaquero Feed and Livestock Supply, in Tucson very close to Paul and Linda's ranch. That is where Paul and Linda got supplies for their horses. When I visited the TACK which is still operating today there was a picture of my next door neighbor and Paul on the wall. *****If you want to see some great photos including the ranch query "Paul McCartney Ranch Tucson Arizona". I believe Paul was at the last Super Bowl in Glendale, AZ.. *****George Harrison's sister lived in Benton, IL at one time. While visiting her George bought a guitar at Fenton's Music Store in Mt. Vernon, IL that is now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Paul was a good friend of Elvis Presley. I was in Army in Germany at the same time Elvis was there. I loved the music of the Beatles and Elvis!
It is sadly all-too-common for a star as big as Paul to succumb to the "rock and roll lifestyle" of endless partying, excess and screwing tons of female fans. I admire Paul for being so grounded: so committed to his wife and family. I once read that he and Linda lived in small houses when the kids were small because "I wanted us to be tripping over one another. In big houses, people get separated and lost." (words to that affect). He is definitely an inspiring person as well as an inspiring musician
This particular choice to live in a small, humble home to raise his family is one of the things that most impresses me about Paul. That, and the fact that he truly loved Linda and his family. How intentional to set up his life to spend so much time bonding with them. He and Linda are, I think, "Enlightened Beings" :)
Didn't they live in a farmhouse in Sussex? It wasn't little, I don't think, and the house in St Johns Wood is massive. Also the house in Arizona and farm in Scotland.
I’ve always loved so much Linda ! She was so talented and beautiful ! The fact she played in the Wings was a real opportunity to change the view of bands only made with men, to introduce the importance and great chance of mixed band. She had completely her role to play and her place to be as much as Paul and the other musicians of the Band. I think that’s why I was attracted by this band, added of their music of course. 😍
They adored one another. It’s obvious that they were the love of each other’s lives. I was very upset over Linda’s death. I knew Paul would grieve hard. I believe that’s why he fell into a sour relationship with his next wife. I’m grateful he’s happy with Nancy Shevell. This is something I’m sure Linda would have wanted for him. To be happy and not alone.
I met Linda and Paul at Billboard Magazine 9000 Sunset LA. They were there to sign the advertising agreement for Wings first album. The album contained the Live and Let Die soundtrack for the new James Bond movie Live and Let Die. My Uncle Peter Heine was director of advertising for Billboard Magazine. I got to hang out with Paul and Linda will Peter went down the hall and made some changes to the contract. Paul and Linda were an elegant couple and they were very well mannered. I didn't think it was a big deal they were just friends of my Uncle. I was 13 years old. Thank you Paul I haven't forgotten.
most of this stuff is well known to Beatles fans the plane crash that killed her mom was going to visit her brother John at Stanford law school in 1960
Always thought Highly of lovely Linda and she and Paul were truly in Love some great solo music was made by Paul and Linda and wings she was an amazing lady and I remember that time of the season and the Beatles were in my life and youth. Thanks Paul and Linda. And the other beautiful people and the other Beatles John George and Ringo.
Interestingly the Paul bonded in his life with two people who had lost their mothers, like he did. Linda whose mother died in a plane crash and John Lennon's mother was killed in a road accident. Most people are wrong about the Beatles break up, because they basically started to grow up and drift apart after Brian Epstein their manager died. In fact both George and Ringo temporarily walked out during recording sessions and John was the one who really wanted to break up the band, because he was the leader who started it. He met Paul when in The Quarrymen, who had a friend who knew John, then Paul introduced George and when Pete Best didn't work out as a good enough musician on their first singles record, they got Ringo was playing another Liverpool group Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. But in the end it was really a business dispute between Paul and his in-laws and John and the other two, who wanted Allen Klein who was a bit of crook ( they didn't realise it until later...he also hoodwinked the Stones and others ) that destroyed their fragile relationships.
Just seeing all the other Beatles being divorced, getting “upgrades” (except John) I loved watching Paul and Linda grow old together. I have no doubt they’d still be married if she hadn’t died
Linda was very well-liked in Tucson, Arizona, where she died. She was a photographer, a wife & mother, a musician, and finally a businesswoman with a line of frozen vegetarian foods. Linda was very, very multi-talented - and was just a beautiful lady.
I could see why he fell in love with her. She’s calm cool and collective while he’s enthusiastic childish and driven. Rather then a wife that constantly wants your validation and is throwing fits on a casual basis.
I’m Vegan! I love that they did this- vegetarian back then was a new trend. A trend that should save a persons life of cancer. Take it a step further and give up all animal products such as butter, and dairy products and no sugar. Cancer can’t survive in an acidic system. Go Vegan n give up sweets! Keep up the good work with this Meatless Monday to start with.
Paul and his lovely wife ,had a happy beautiful family .. devastating for them all.. when Linda died 😢😭A gorgeous intelligent woman, wonderful mother and wife .. cant imagine the pain 💔
I think Jane was more the stereotypical British woman he’d dated before. But Linda was so different: confident, American, independent It’s into note his other successful marriage was with another American
Linda had no blame in the Beatles breakup. Look no further than Yuko and her hooking Lennon on Heroin and filling his head with notions. She was a Queen mixer who didpised the groups unity.
