Linda McCartney was one of the nicest people I ever met. She was a genuine and unspoilt person with a deep passion for all she cared about and humility and kindness for everyone. I met her a few times and she never forgot my name even though I'm no celebrity or anyone important!
I met Paul and Linda when I was 13 years old. At 9000 Sunset Billboard Magazine, through my uncle Peter Heine director of advertising. I was alone with Linda and Paul for about 15 minutes. During which time we visited and looked out the window at the LA skyline. They were both very polite and kind to me. They treated me like a grown up. I felt like they were friends of the family. Nice people.
It is sad to hear all the negative comments on here about the lack of Linda's talents and even the perceived personalities of Paul's daughters. I know that I am old and totally "uncool" but as an American Beatles fan from the time I first saw them on the Ed Sullivan show, and a particular fan of Paul McCartney, I just have to disagree. I remember Paul's reputation as a "lady's man" very well and even remember them having problems in Minnesota when Paul was found with a young girl in his motel room. Linda was also well known in the rock circles, both as a young photographer with a rich father and a "groupie". But when the two of them met, whatever talents Linda had, she obviously had the talent to be woman enough to make Paul McCartney a happy man, seeing him through the hardest times of his life with the break up of the Beatles and deaths in his family. She was a stabilizing female force in his life when the only female force in his life he respected (his mother) had passed away. She gave him a beautiful family, and together, along with her own daughter, who Paul adopted, they remained together until Linda died. Their love for one another went unquestioned. There were never any "cheating" rumors or "break up" rumors in the tabloids like you see with so many celebrities. Their children did not go out and get busted for drugs/alcohol or lewd behavior. And still we criticize. And why? For their expressions? For how we perceive they look? Linda McCartney was a lady, a woman, a wife, a mother, photographer, a light keyboard player and a back up singer. I Know many men and women, including myself, who have accomplished much less in life.
+brandy copeland Thank you Brandy. How many people posting here can say they even came close to accomplishing what Linda McCartney accomplished in her life? She died with dignity and grace and together with Paul, raised a pretty stable family considering the fame and scrutiny they grew up under. She NEVER wanted to be a singer or in Paul's band and only did so at his insistence. She knew people laughed at her and criticized her playing and singing but she maintained the courage to stay on stage with her husband because he wanted her there. As a man who loves his own wife very much, I have to respect Linda for that very much. Hey, thanks for posting. Take care.
+Denise Burnside Thank you Denise. It just saddens me that we always have to tear down people we have no way of truly knowing or understanding for who they truly are. Why couldn't people just believe Linda might have been a nice person who raised a good family? Just because they are rich or famous doesn't mean that Linda's husband and children miss her less or loved her less or hurt less when they hear and read negative things about their mother who has passed and who loved them. Take care.
When the Governor of N.J. had a bad crash, broke all his ribs, quite serious. They got a sound bite from one of his kids. He wasn't the governor he was dad. Same with Johny Cash, his daughter was asked what it was like being his daughter, she replied he wasn't somebody famous to me he's dad. Except for making it big people, are basically the same, human. Have coffee together in the morn, couch potato at night.
Many of Paul's fans had it in for Linda. I think she was the best thing that ever happened to him. I appreciated her photos early on--back in the day when her photos most of Wing's album covers. She was a brilliant photographer. Stella is correct, when her mom took a picture it froze a moment in time and left no doubt about what the subject was thinking/feeling. Her quirky photos like the cider press where great fun as well as speaking louder than words. She sings with the angels and now truly has "wings".
This was genuinely the best set of photographs I have seen I went there and I can say Linda had a knack of capturing atmosphere and movement to a still picture I wish I could afford to buy her work just stunning Linda ♥️
Linda was a beautiful woman, wife, and mother. Anyone who made Paul so happy is tops in my book! (though eternally jealous) She was a great photographer, really gifted.

Heather has never liked the limelight and does not participate in interviews publicly. Same for James, his son.
Love the photos where Linda’s reflection is seen. I believe she was an incredibly sensitive, honest, kind feeling being. To me, her persona, (having seen footage of an old interview w/Vicki, from the Carol Burnett show... ) seemed to be one of introspective, reticence and her beauty emanated throughout that interview ... despite the off-handed remarks, which Linda gracefully navigated.

@KlassicKrusty...actually my sons have taken spectacular pics but so have some others but I do see many photos people have taken that are dead useless and downright silly.
Sir Paul McCartney you are a good family man and a music legend. Thank you and to Mary for sharing the beautiful family stories and true love. Best regards from England.
No wonder paul is the greatest song writter of all time, how strong must he be to carry on after losing so many close frends,,stu, john, linda, george, his perants,,the list goes on,the show goes on, RIP
She was a fine photographer and Wings ended up doing okay.she got the music together. She and Paul had a great marriage and cool kids while in a business that eats couples and spits them out. I'm a fan...of all of them.
I have always loved the true, nature of Ms Linda’s photography. I wish I could have met her. She seemed to me a strong and a real wonderful woman of her convictions. The World was blessed having her here. But she gave us all wonderfully talented children to carry on the good work that she and Sir Paul instilled to them. Thank you, with love and much respect. Doreen from Connecticut.
In my view another great legacy left by Linda was her love and respect for life in general. Her initiative to educate people about eating well without resourcing to killing other animals is now being acknowledged. A true vegan lifestyle. May her soul always rest in peace.
Paul McCartney has certainly faced some tragedy in his life, but seeing him here with two of his lovely children shows me why he doesn't dwell on the bad things that happen in life. He has a wonderful family and has stated that he also had a wonderful family upbringing. One thing that struck me is how much his daughter Mary (named for his Mum) looks like Linda and how much Stella takes after Paul.
it makes me smile how Stella has Linda's colours and Paul's face and Mary took Paul's colours but Linda's features :) they all look beautiful though :)
Becasue of Linda’s work, we have so many wonderful photos of so many different people that we never would have had. And I admit that I am a person who actually loves to look at other peoples family and or vacation photos. I love people and their stories. And the McCartney family as subjects is wonderful to me, being in my 70s and a Beatle fan from way back in the beginning. I love her photos, all of them. The way Paul described her way of working is exactly how I see the photos, real life….not posed life. They feel like a true peek into the moment. They tell us something about her too. Thanks Linda. And thanks McCartney family for sharing your family photos with us. Very, very nice to see them.
We have Linda to thank for some of the greatest Beatles pictures (and some of the last ones as well) thank God she was around with Paul and realized how historic those moments were. She was a remarkable mother and wife and is sorely missed. Every man should be lucky enough to find their Linda. Paul found his

Michele Clark what are you talking about? Heather is the daughter that isn’t biologically his. Mary and Stella are his blood daughters. Get your facts straight please.
He kept his age well No tattoos earrings Down to earth friendly and normal Simple standard dress like it. Hes totally amazing how exceptionally talented he is and how he has coped with fame and fortune etc I'd love to meet him just to say hi I really appreciate you and shake his hand.
I was fortunate enough to go to an exhibit of Lindas work at a gallery in Boulder Colorado some 20 plus years ago. It was amazing. Yes a number of Beatles images but the other images in the show were take your breath away stunning. Linda really did have a wonderful eye.
I saw the book Linda's Pictures between my father's books when I was 11, now I'm 53 years old. Amazing register of a family life ... I still use to watch all the pictures, wonderful pictures. The beauty of these photos is amazing, as also Linda's beauty. Bets regards here from Brazil.
🔷️🔷️🔷️ I too like their plain appearance, it says even if you're wealthy, you don't have to be attractive. Personally follows you throughout your so I think it's fine that they have the same canvas as their mom.
Great stuff Paul. My Dad some years ago passed away, he had a few chats with you lot before you became famous, he was a singer whilst working at Cammell Lairds, the last occasion was at the iron door. My mum said she called me Paul sometime after meeting your good self before giving birth to me on 9th April 1963! Don't worry, I'm not your son! (scouse humour - I'm 54) , From one Paul to another, thank you for your music mate. ,
Wonderful photographs in this clip. Wish I could see the exhibition. Whimsical, surreal, light feelings. Your family was always on our minds here in America, well, in our family we were big Beatles fans. I learned guitar because of the whole Rock n Roll movement. Your expression and art became an inspiration for our lives. This is beautifully done.
You can see and feel his pain at the loss of Linda. He really has never been the same. Since she's gone he is always trying very hard to take part in everything.
He has to keep on moving, for it would be so easy to be down. Still my late sister thought Paul was a broken man after losing Linda. That said, I am never to be the same for losing those close to me.
Paul and Linda two people committed to each other their children and their talents and we were blessed by all they did!! So happy Paul is happy with Nancy because I know losing Linda was rough on all of them.i remember when she passed on.
This is my first glimpse of Linda’s photography and I am inspired. I went to Paul’s classical debut at the sheldonian Theatre Oxford. A beautiful and memorable evening. Paul stood in the doorway as we walked out and I wish I had acknowledged him. Said thank you at the very least😘💫
What do you call a dog with wings...Linda McCartney! Wish Paul stayed with Jane Asher. Linda got Paul because she was a rich NYJAP whose Daddy was a big time lawyer. They both had their hooks in Paul!
@@slowhand4414 Sometimes love works in strange ways. Maybe it was going well with Jane Asher then it all went downhill. He met Linda and fell in love. Don't need to feel any kind of drive because he didn't end up with the person you wanted.
Seeing Linda and Paul McCartney’s life up on the walls of a gallery. Their kids are brilliant, and fantastic people. They’ve got a heap of things to be proud of. Linda’s pictures are, so original. I wish I could have met her. She, and Paul were beautiful together.
Paul is happy now. The one legged version of Yoko Ono is gone forever. Paul and Linda had real love. Raised a fine family. You rarely see Paul angry where John was always pissed off about something. George and Ringo seemed fairly grounded. Gee I wonder who brought tension to the band.
+milestoneman There's much to be angry about in this world, and to just be 'happy' is stupid and pathetic in the face of things that need frighting against, yes some things are worth fighting for. Grow up
I had the luck to meet and talk to them twice . it happened in a country pub called "the Queen's Head" just outside Rye (Appledore) where they used to live together . Sir Paul was kind but rather formal and Linda...i will never forget her warmth and spontaneous approach .Just as Stella says in this interview , she gave the idea of a kind soul that wouldn't compete with anyone for no reason , ever. God bless her wherever she is now
I feel lucky to have lived in and having grown up in the era of the best music ever. People will be listening to this music 100 years from now and wondering what it was like to have lived at that time. It was great.
She really did take some great photos. Some people just have a natural instinct with capturing time in the moment and have it speak volumes for anyone who ever sees them. She certainly seemed to have that ability.
love watching the mccarthy family talking about linda family .their all amazing in their own way.linda always be remembered and never forgotten and always in their hearts forever through family music photos books.thank you sharing.
I love the pic of John & Paul at 3:05. That was a very stressful time and in that brief moment, they seem to be oblivious to all the chaos and bad feelings going on and are just having a moment together probably very much like they did when they were school boys back in Liverpool.
A very special bond between Linda SirPaul and daughters. Linda left a wonderful legacy behind. A truly great photographer and all the vegetarian food we enjoy to this day!!! I like the way Stella and Mary spoke about their Mother. Paul loved her and they appeared to be soulmates. They have a special memory of a impressive lady as Linda was. Treasured memories locked in their hearts forever. They can honour her memory as a truly gifted woman Mother wife multi talented and loving person they had in their lives. How fortunate is that.Wow. Much love from me Patricia.Kindest regards to.
Linda was great talented photographer and the soul mate of Paul.like all couples probably they had ups and downs.I really sad she pass away.Paul had to carry on living and we all are lucky for how happy has made all of us with his music.
How much Mary speaks like and looks like Linda. She is looking down and is so proud of her daughters and of you too Paul. Thank you for sharing her works with us all.
Linda was so talented, history proves that. I loved how Paul had her as part of the band, it kept them together and consequently the family together. The oldest daughter looks like Linda.
THANKS A LOT FOR THE VIDEO, IT MADE ME THINK IN THE PHOTOGRAPHIC WORK LA OF LINDA. I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY AND I ADMIRE WHAT LINDA MADE, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VIDEO. CONGRATULATIONS AND GREETINGS FROM MEXICO CITY.
For your information, Yoko Ono is a great performance and installation artist and a classically trained pianist... Her's and John's son Sean, credits his mom as being his real musical teacher and mentor, as she taught him about music and that young man is a very talented musician. Sure Yoko isn't a good singer, but her sense of humour and deep belief in Peace and Love for Humanity is priceless... :P
Yoko can’t be compared to Linda! Linda was such a beautiful inspiring woman, Yoko, not so much. Yoko wanted to be the main center of attention, and John was spoiling her just that.
capturing a moment time that will never be repeated. Never! Thank u Ms. McCartney ...may ur journey full of peace ✌🏻,love, and harmony! “Until we all join as one”
I’m so glad that Linda McCartney was able to express her creativity in photography and to do it so well! And I am also very glad that her family really appreciated her creativity and respected her for it.
I think Paul and Linda had the love of a lifetime. And I'm glad they got to have it because so few do.
Take a look at the 8mm footage of them just leaving their wedding service sometime, if you ever should doubt it.

I met Paul and Linda when he was on the Royal Court here in LIVERPOOL.... Paul was so down to earth amazing man. Linda was lovely so sweet. God rest her soul... ❤🙏❤
Linda was a very gifted women, she could sing, play piano, take pics... RIP
@Steve Red. let's face it anyone can take photos. I liked that she loved animals it seems.
Genie Meadows just bc u can take a picture doesn't mean it'll be any good. Just saying
@KlassicKrusty...actually my sons have taken spectacular pics but so have some others but I do see many
photos people have taken that are dead useless and downright silly.

Sir Paul McCartney you are a good family man and a music legend. Thank you and to Mary for sharing the beautiful family stories and true love. Best regards from England.
No wonder paul is the greatest song writter of all time, how strong must he be to carry on after losing so many close frends,,stu, john, linda, george, his perants,,the list goes on,the show goes on, RIP
well said
Add Brian Epstein to the list. His death evidently impacted them terribly.
And that's exactly why he keeps going on. For them.
Mother Mary was his 1st. He was young when they lost her. It changes the song.
John and Paul both their mothers when young. Imagine how big a deal that was to them...
yeah he is, really nice guy
Linda Was Nice
And he’s clean just like his grandfather
@@juliakonieczynska2326😁😉
She was a fine photographer and Wings ended up doing okay.she got the music together. She and Paul had a great marriage and cool kids while in a business that eats couples and spits them out. I'm a fan...of all of them.

Wings were ok ? Beatles were ok .
Paul loved Linda. The girls loved Linda. All of these pictures must mean so much to them.
The girls loved their mom
Mary is Beautiful! And she’s definitely Paul’s daughter, you can see him in her eyes
One thing that struck me is how much his daughter Mary (named for his Mum) looks like Linda and how much Stella takes after Paul.
it makes me smile how Stella has Linda's colours and Paul's face and Mary took Paul's colours but Linda's features :) they all look beautiful though :)
agreed - they both are a perfect blend of each parent. Both appear mild mannered, but articulate.
Dear Sir Paul and Stella and Mary what a wonderful conversation and beautiful description of Linda's photographs.Les
We have Linda to thank for some of the greatest Beatles pictures (and some of the last ones as well) thank God she was around with Paul and realized how historic those moments were. She was a remarkable mother and wife and is sorely missed. Every man should be lucky enough to find their Linda. Paul found his
Mary looks like Linda and Stella looks like Paul. His kids on the whole turned out very well.
Caren Fernandes-Smith Mary isn’t his genetic daughter. I agree she looks a lot like her mum.
@Caren Fernandes-Smith....Mary looks totally like Paul and so does Stella.
cubomania3 i actually agree with you. When i saw him interviewed with parky i thought - who is this guy? just a woman's intuition - the ears sold it for me
cubomania3 that's not even a credible source. It's just over speculation as always. Dumbass.
Michele Clark what are you talking about? Heather is the daughter that isn’t biologically his. Mary and Stella are his blood daughters. Get your facts straight please.
He kept his age well
No tattoos earrings
Down to earth friendly and normal
Simple standard dress like it.
Hes totally amazing how exceptionally talented he is and how he has coped with fame and fortune etc
I'd love to meet him just to say hi I really appreciate you and shake his hand.
I love that book and I have it as well. She was a splendid photographer!
One day in the year to look at the family photographs, what a beautiful idea.
Both or Paul's daughters, Mary and Stella, are extremely beautiful women.
I would not they were beautiful plain just like linda they mum was
Mary is way prettier than Stella.
They are extremely McCartney and Linda's children.. .... The apple does not fall far from the tree..
🔷️🔷️🔷️ I too like their plain appearance, it says even if you're wealthy, you don't have to be attractive. Personally follows you throughout your so I think it's fine that they have the same canvas as their mom.
And both are always with him and seem protective...esp in his older age...you did a great job Paul!❤
(scouse humour - I'm 54)
,
From one Paul to another, thank you for your music mate.
,
Happy Birthday Sir Paul! Thank You! Thank You for sharing your music and your life. We all miss your beloved Linda. So many tears.
Linda took beautiful photographs.
She was an amazing person and photographer, Thank you for small look into her talent
I like when he said his grandchild called Paul,Granddude. lol 😀🌹❤ RIP LINDA.
Linda
I send out a Magic prayer to you. A prayer of Love and Thanks ! For all of the beauty and Love you and Paul shared in my life
That's so nice ♡
Hot models are not the definition of beautiful.....Linda McCartney was and is ........
Linda was very attractive.
And more importantly, a wonderful person. That’s true beauty!
What do you call a dog with wings...Linda McCartney!
Wish Paul stayed with Jane Asher. Linda got Paul because she was a rich NYJAP whose Daddy was a big time lawyer. They both had their hooks in Paul!
@@slowhand4414 Dude, seriously no one cares tbh.
@@slowhand4414 Sometimes love works in strange ways. Maybe it was going well with Jane Asher then it all went downhill. He met Linda and fell in love. Don't need to feel any kind of drive because he didn't end up with the person you wanted.
Linda was massively underrated. Only a true genius could recognize her talents. And Sir Paul is a genius. Amazing family of talented people.
Seeing Linda and Paul McCartney’s life up on the walls of a gallery. Their kids are brilliant, and fantastic people. They’ve got a heap of things to be proud of.
Linda’s pictures are, so original. I wish I could have met her.
She, and Paul were beautiful together.
i just started my own 'day a year' to look at the family photos ... more thanks for more inspiration ...
i look at family photos often, and this vid gives me inspiration to take more interesting pics.
Linda & Paula are awesome inspirers of the imagination
Paul is happy now. The one legged version of Yoko Ono is gone forever. Paul and Linda had real love. Raised a fine family. You rarely see Paul angry where John was always pissed off about something. George and Ringo seemed fairly grounded. Gee I wonder who brought tension to the band.
+milestoneman There's much to be angry about in this world, and to just be 'happy' is stupid and pathetic in the face of things that need frighting against, yes some things are worth fighting for. Grow up
+milestoneman Heather is worse than Yoko if that is possible
Paul has an ego the size of America. He looks down on other great musicians.
+cubomania3
and is the world quite flat do u think?
yes he will never go down on one knee again he said. "She's out of my life forever"
Paul is our favorite Beatle, and outstanding man in the order of band member, husband, father, son and human being. Paul is my favorite Beatle.
God bless her wherever she is now
Wonderful family share about Linda's work in photography which she fell into almost totally accidentally. She's got a great eye for memorable moments.
Linda had so much talent she was a woman that inspires and keep on spiring people
I feel lucky to have lived in and having grown up in the era of the best music ever. People will be listening to this music 100 years from now and wondering what it was like to have lived at that time. It was great.
She really did take some great photos. Some people just have a natural instinct with capturing time in the moment and have it speak volumes for anyone who ever sees them. She certainly seemed to have that ability.
I always loved Linda’s work! She inspired me as a photographer and still does!❤️❤️❤️❤️
love watching the mccarthy family talking about linda family .their all amazing in their own way.linda always be remembered and never forgotten and always in their hearts forever through family music photos books.thank you sharing.
Linda's was an outstanding wife & mother. I admire her humility & down to earth approach raising their children.
I love the pic of John & Paul at 3:05. That was a very stressful time and in that brief moment, they seem to be oblivious to all the chaos and bad feelings going on and are just having a moment together probably very much like they did when they were school boys back in Liverpool.
My favorite John & Paul photo of all time.
gigisdad and before Yoko.
@@pattidiane No, Yoko was around during that time.
I think Paul & Linda we're lucky to have one another in life, and a beautiful family.
Gracias Paul, por entregarnos tan buena musica y tambien por tu hermosa familia, es reconfortante verte con tus hijas...
I love this relationship!!!
I love Linda McCartney!!!
My beautiful and inspiration woman!!!
Linda McCartney a true angel that every Beatles fan would simp for ❤️ RIP
Linda was great talented photographer and the soul mate of Paul.like all couples probably they had ups and downs.I really sad she pass away.Paul had to carry on living and we all are lucky for how happy has made all of us with his music.
How much Mary speaks like and looks like Linda. She is looking down and is so proud of her daughters and of you too Paul. Thank you for sharing her works with us all.
That was beautiful! I'm so sorry for your loss. You're mom was so beautiful and talented.
I do believe if poor Linda hadn't died so young paul would be with her today! He loved that woman so much! His one true love!
Linda was so talented, history proves that. I loved how Paul had her as part of the band, it kept them together and consequently the family together. The oldest daughter looks like Linda.
I love the idea that Mr. Mccartney had his wife in the band with him. I like the songs where I can hear her voice.
Fab photographer...musician, singer and woman ..RIP Linda 🌻🌻🌻
i think you can tell that Paul loved Linda
Sarah Gregory I was thinking that Linda must have been the love of his life. Too bad for me. 😜
Just a bit!
Yeah Faul loved her
Simplesmente maravilhoso, ver o Paul, quem teve a honra de ser amigo,é uma pessoa de sorte.
Unlike Yoyo, this woman actually had talent. What an amazing contribution her photos have made to such a historic period. Where's Yoyo's pictures?
For your information, Yoko Ono is a great performance and installation artist and a classically trained pianist... Her's and John's son Sean, credits his mom as being his real musical teacher and mentor, as she taught him about music and that young man is a very talented musician. Sure Yoko isn't a good singer, but her sense of humour and deep belief in Peace and Love for Humanity is priceless... :P
Yoko can’t be compared to Linda! Linda was such a beautiful inspiring woman, Yoko, not so much. Yoko wanted to be the main center of attention, and John was spoiling her just that.
I've never liked Yoko. In my opinion she's a pretentious wannabe-artist.
gforce7four Yoko can sure scream! 😳
plenty of Yoko's photos. And art pieces. And short films.
capturing a moment time that will never be repeated. Never! Thank u Ms. McCartney ...may ur journey full of peace ✌🏻,love, and harmony! “Until we all join as one”
I’m so glad that Linda McCartney was able to express her creativity in photography and to do it so well! And I am also very glad that her family really appreciated her creativity and respected her for it.
