I met Paul and Linda when I was 13 years old. At 9000 Sunset Billboard Magazine, through my uncle Peter Heine director of advertising. I was alone with Linda and Paul for about 15 minutes. During which time we visited and looked out the window at the LA skyline. They were both very polite and kind to me. They treated me like a grown up. I felt like they were friends of the family. Nice people.
When the Governor of N.J. had a bad crash, broke all his ribs, quite serious. They got a sound bite from one of his kids. He wasn't the governor he was dad. Same with Johny Cash, his daughter was asked what it was like being his daughter, she replied he wasn't somebody famous to me he's dad. Except for making it big people, are basically the same, human. Have coffee together in the morn, couch potato at night.
@KlassicKrusty...actually my sons have taken spectacular pics but so have some others but I do see many photos people have taken that are dead useless and downright silly.
Paul is an amazing musician and has an unbelievable work ethic. He remained humble and represents to me a great role model. I loved how he took what he loved in life and brought them all together.
Sir Paul McCartney you are a good family man and a music legend. Thank you and to Mary for sharing the beautiful family stories and true love. Best regards from England.
In my view another great legacy left by Linda was her love and respect for life in general. Her initiative to educate people about eating well without resourcing to killing other animals is now being acknowledged. A true vegan lifestyle. May her soul always rest in peace.
Seeing Linda and Paul McCartney’s life up on the walls of a gallery. Their kids are brilliant, and fantastic people. They’ve got a heap of things to be proud of. Linda’s pictures are, so original. I wish I could have met her. She, and Paul were beautiful together.
I have always loved the true, nature of Ms Linda’s photography. I wish I could have met her. She seemed to me a strong and a real wonderful woman of her convictions. The World was blessed having her here. But she gave us all wonderfully talented children to carry on the good work that she and Sir Paul instilled to them. Thank you, with love and much respect. Doreen from Connecticut.
Linda was so talented, history proves that. I loved how Paul had her as part of the band, it kept them together and consequently the family together. The oldest daughter looks like Linda.
This highlights the fact that Paul McCartney is just an ordinary human being with extraordinary musical talent who got together with the right group of people and captured a period in history that will live with us forever.
I had the luck to meet and talk to them twice . it happened in a country pub called "the Queen's Head" just outside Rye (Appledore) where they used to live together . Sir Paul was kind but rather formal and Linda...i will never forget her warmth and spontaneous approach .Just as Stella says in this interview , she gave the idea of a kind soul that wouldn't compete with anyone for no reason , ever. God bless her wherever she is now
In my opinion Linda Eastman McCartney took the best photos of the Beatles and other rock musician's. Linda seemed to grab the best of the not the same old same old photos that everyone else took. Great stuff Paul. My Dad some years ago passed away, he had a few chats with you lot before you became famous, he was a singer whilst working at Cammell Lairds, the last occasion was at the iron door. My mum said she called me Paul sometime after meeting your good self before giving birth to me on 9th April 1963! Don't worry, I'm not your son! (scouse humour - I'm 54) , From one Paul to another, thank you for your music mate. ,
Yes-the less obvious Emotional Message is what Photography is really about. My 30-career-Navy officer dad who was seldom around when I was "growing up" left me a Photojournalistic piece when he Passed-on. And his message to me about myself and about him as father (in this small photo collection he put together for me) was a most precious gift.
Linda was great talented photographer and the soul mate of Paul.like all couples probably they had ups and downs.I really sad she pass away.Paul had to carry on living and we all are lucky for how happy has made all of us with his music.
I saw an exhibit of Linda McCartney photos at a museum. There was also an Ansel Adams exhibit. Her photos were more interesting to me. They speak to a moment. Very casual and full of life. A great eye.
I checked out a library book yesterday called Linda McCartney Sixties. A big coffee table book with stories about the pictures. It said Linda would shoot with natural light because the pictures were better and it allowed her to be more stealth when shooting.
I found her work to be very inspirational too, it wasn't just the subject, for me, it was the colors and as Stella said, it was about the "elan" of her subjects. I hung the cover of McCartney on my wall for years, the cherries on the table. LOVE. PEACE. Linda's Pictures.
Wonderful photographs in this clip. Wish I could see the exhibition. Whimsical, surreal, light feelings. Your family was always on our minds here in America, well, in our family we were big Beatles fans. I learned guitar because of the whole Rock n Roll movement. Your expression and art became an inspiration for our lives. This is beautifully done.
i met her once and we wear talking and we were talking about the winter snow and i was on a motor bike and she told me be careful on that motor bike as you ride home as the roads may have ice on them she was a real lady a lot of people after they have died say how good they were . but she really was a lovely lady not proud or stuck up

Would Paul McCartney be willing to let the public see his medical records? That seems like a strange question, but this guy seems to be the happiest man his age I've ever seen. Has he ever gotten angry about anything? Ever? And he's in his 70's with a head full of hair? If this guy isn't afraid of getting older, then why should we be? This man is my role model!
Linda had many special talent's a special unique woman in my eyes and I believe very blessed because she lived a honest good life.l respect the way her and her husband Paul lived
I remember her as making her own natural food and being such a great Mother and Photographer and the love of his life and family and friends and she was so laid back and fabulous in her own way.

Linda McCartney was a woman I admired and liked so very much. All the work she did in promoting animal welfare is something that is dear to my heart. She was a wonderful, down to earth, caring, and loving human being. By the way, I still eat Linda's fantastic veggie meals, love those burgers
Do you remember all the photos from their farmhouse with Paul, Linda, the kids, and their sheep dog Martha? Those were such simple yet special moments.

I believe you are correct on this, and I simply think she was the most loving person ever, I always loved Sir Paul but I was never jealous when he married her because I felt he met his soulmate, Michele.
I think Paul and Linda had the love of a lifetime. And I'm glad they got to have it because so few do.
Take a look at the 8mm footage of them just leaving their wedding service sometime, if you ever should doubt it.
So phoney arnt they. What accent is Paul using today. Errrrrm dont know.
Would Stella McCartney have made it as Stella McNulty......erm........ No!!!!

Linda added SO MUCH to the harmonies in Wings. My favorite part of the McCartney sound. Listen to the album - Venus & Mars. She was great!
Pat Keegan I named my band "Wind. "Wings was a good name.
I really liked her harmonies and the tone that she added to Paul’s main vocals...really great texture.
Can you imagine calling Paul McCartney "Dad".

Interesting. Despite being re-married twice, he must still miss her.
