These guys had so much fun. I grew up listening to this kind of stuff and wish it was still how music was made today. I know, I'm 45 and today's chart stuff isn't aimed at people my age but these were great days for music and Pet Shop Boys were one of my favourites. I know, I'm 45 and today's chart stuff isn't aimed at people my age but these were great days for music and Pet Shop Boys were one of my favourites. First time i heard this Song, i was at the age of 6 or 7. Im 22 now and i just returned to this titel after a long time and it feels just like pure nostalgia to me. The music, the Video, everything.
My oldest memory of me listening to any song on the radio is with this theme at the age of 4. And I can clearly remember me thinking back then: "this sounds like intense and important". 28 years later, still one of my favorite pop songs ever recorded.
My nephew back in the day still in his baby walker would stay glued to this.he I'd in His 20s now....

This beautiful melody makes me so emotional. I am not new to the song and always I have felt the same! I believe it is because when it was in the music charts I was living in Germany, in lovely Detmold, and the music recreates the so many memories of my time there in a beautiful country, with sincere, hard-working people Of course I cannot take anything away from the song but I wish I could listen to it without the veil of sadness - music is the language of the soul. 🥲🇬🇧
