I can never understand why stuff like this happens to such good, kind people. She lived a healthy lifestyle and look what happened, while others who are NOT so good and do NOT live a healthy lifestyle live into their 90s. There is very little justice in this world. I think it's a testament to Linda and to their marriage that Paul keeps trying to recapture what the two of them had. @@jamesguy1030 Jane Asher was the girlfriend of Paul McCartney, and he didn't break up with her, they were engaged. He died in 1966. Linda was married to Billy Shears who replaced Paul so the Beatles could stay as a group. Just look at St. Peppers cover, Abbey road cover. Heather knows the truth about Billy, and is sworn to secrecy. Olivia Harrison is on tape along with all the Beatles at a reunion where they all greet him as "Hello Billy." This has been a huge cover up for years.
Kali Yuga you realize they got engaged on December 1967? Jane and Paul broke up because they got engaged and then Paul ended up cheating on her. Jane caught Paul and someone in bed
This is the first time I really got to view Linda McCartney with her telling her things about her life she did seem like a very down-to-earth and nice person so sad she lost her life so young. I WM
Well, I appreciate her contribution more and more as I age, I understand why Paul wanted her in the group, he did not want to be away from her.. on the other hand, I do feel as though she cost Paul some real hits, some of her earlier harmonies, you have to ignore her intonation issues to enjoy Paul's 70's music.... I really think her singing is much more controversial than people want to admit, and her voice frankly is one of the reasons McCartney's material was the subject of derision in the 70s.. Fair or not.. regardless, Rest in Peace, Linda, you were an outstanding photographer and wonderful wife to Paul
I recall hearing a story that Paul could be abusive, apparently, could be extremely verbally critical of her musicianship, if so, why didn't he tell her to stop singing, period and take the pressure off... McCartney's material would have sounded so much better had he and Lane just handled the vocal duties together minus Linda (Solely overdubbing Lane and McCartney's vocals to create all of Wings' harmonies would have made Wings a much prettier sound)..... when Linda had not even been the slightest bit competent nor had a smidgen of diaphragmatic support to support what she was attempting to do vocally...half of Paul's issues with the critics in the 70's were related to Linda and her weak singing voice and everyone knew it.... Elephant in the room kind of stuff.... Interestingly, astonishingly and quite conversely, Linda's and Paul's son, James can blow his bloody a** off, so go figure.... She did not practice her voice enough, it's simple enough and I would imagine her son knew it too... This is not to gang up on Linda, or sound like Simon Cowell... we're talking about Paul McCartney here, one of the greatest vocalists of all time... it's just that his wife could not carry a tune... ultimately, the responsibility fell on Paul for quality control during this era and he couldn't have given a sh**... and unfortunately, he lost John's input, who gave him that quality control...
@@donnawoodford6641 Paul appears to have found love and happiness with Nancy but I think the love he had for Linda was probably the deepest he ever known.
7:35 Linda briefly mentioned meeting Jazz singer Georgie Fame, my claim to fame was that he was a next door neighbour to my God Mother (RIP) when Georgie lived in Chiswick, West London. Anyway Georgie Fame once came to our home with my God Mother in the very early 70's.
I can totally understand why Paul loved her. Smart, articulate, kind, compassionate, I could go on. It's a shame she died still young. Who knows what might happen if she lived.
The best quote from here is that she thought that everything John Lennon had been through had taken a toll on him. He was shy, sensitive. That’s the one thing the biographers never talk about, but should. The toll it took on him, being a Beatle. I think it drove him crazy. She met Lennon during a very crazy time of transformation.

Linda was a truly remarkable yet ordinary woman - she's left us all with great food to make vegetarian life easier, and was not lost in the glamour of the rock world at all - or rather, the craziness of it all! She could always see the individuals and cared about people. She got really bad press when she joined Wings, but she supported Paul and raised her children to be individuals. What a loss!
Seems Linda never gets the recognition she deserves as a synth player. I'll always remember her for synthing the violin section & for her backing vocals during Paul's live, Rockshow version of Silly Love Songs. Seattle's Hippodrome, June 1976. Absolutely wonderful 💙💜💙💜 !

yeah, well us americans hate it when the english send over actors like hugh laurie & he does a better american accent than we do, & even has a great tv hit while doing so. i'm contacting president trump to urge him to put tariffs on english actors......ok, just kidding ;)
i hadn't noticed that. interesting.
It's called Trans Atlantic not hybrid.
She seems like a lovely woman. Very sad she died so young.
I cried all day when she died. I always believed she would beat it.:(
Me too. April 17, 1998. A very sad day. I thought she was going to make it.
Boospoochie I kept thinking about the song "When I'm 64," and how she would not be there. :(
I can never understand why stuff like this happens to such good, kind people. She lived a healthy lifestyle and look what happened, while others who are NOT so good and do NOT live a healthy lifestyle live into their 90s. There is very little justice in this world. I think it's a testament to Linda and to their marriage that Paul keeps trying to recapture what the two of them had. Heather Mills was a horrible choice and I felt it from the beginning, but loneliness makes a terrible companion. She was nothing but a gold-digger. I think he's done much better this time around with Nancy Shevell, but Linda's shoes are impossible to fill.
Boospoochie What you said is all true. Linda was a special lady.
Boospoochie
Agreed 100 %
Very rare indeed amongst celebrities to have stayed married and in love for more than 25 years.
It was nice to share a little time here with you Linda. We love and miss you.
I doubt Paul will ever love someone as much as he loved Linda. They were soul mates it’s just her time was much sooner than his but they’ll one day be together again! Almost 30 years together! 💜
I think that's why he took her picture out of maybe I'm amazed
Faeries_Xylia 923. La la when I'm 65..
she reminds me a lot of Princess Diana, in looks and mannerisms.
S P Yes!! Good call, very elegant.
You are kidding!! Not a bit!
S P Princess Di!!! Are you out of your mind?
She looks nothing like Diana Geez.
S P Nothing like her!! I don't think you have seen footage of Princess Diana.
Linda was a great thinker; compassionate; realistic and a person who you could trust 24-7. If you fell in love with her, then your life would have been completed, because you'd feel nothing like before when she spoke one word and looked directly into your eyes.
How do you know?
@@yoya4766 thank you I was thinking the same thing. Not to mention what if that one word was something like, "leave".😁
@@yoya4766 A patient listener understands integrity. The insecure interviewer shouldn't cheapen the brilliance of Linda's foundational kindness, musicianship, and insight of Life.

Hello friend, how're you doing today?
A REALLY rare interview with Linda McCartney...wow!! A very special person....one of a kind.
I am really amazed and impressed with Linda, shes not a fake person. Her relationship with Paul seemed very special.
Donna Summer. Did he write maybe I'm amazed for her?
@@jackiebilder5183 yes..he sure did .💝💝🎈
An amazing woman, who had the luck to pursue her dreams, but she deserved it all!
I grew up in the 80’s and since I was a kid I’ve always liked her. She was a very deep person and real. She was so genuine, and that’s what won so many people hearts. RIP Linda, love you ❤️
Such a BEAUTIFUL soul, so inspirational & so gracious!! ~RIP Linda, U R missed!!!
Linda McCartney, you are a class act. Thank you!
Thank you for posting this...Linda is one of a kind woman...RIP lovely woman...you touched so many...♡♡
here in Japan, it has been said that if the girl you love is gentle, smart, and beautiful, you should marry her. It is just for Linda.
Linda was such a wonderful,down-to-earth lady. Never "showy",just a natural beauty inside and out. Wish she was still gracing the world with her presence. RIP,Lovely Linda. 💙
I loved her voice .
Her voice has adapted a bit of a British accent in this interview.
She was so real and genuine.Paul must miss her very much
She caught alot of flak in the beginning but under Paul's guidance
she became a fine singer and a definite asset to the band.
Her voice blended so well with Paul's and I very much enjoy the
music they made together.
@@ShellBAtoms she sounds alot like ringo to me
she sounds like Edie Sedgwick
I love Linda's demeanor, intonation and accent.
We love Linda McCartney... She Always Had A Strong Mind ..With An In-Built Sacred Heart 💖. ... A Woman Behind Her Man / Husband Sir Paul McCartney. Linda McCartney's Spirit Still Is The Epitome Within The Hearts Here In Liverpool..To Eternity. God Bless You Paul, Ringo Starr and THE FAB FOUR ! FOREVER..YNWA X
Aww she looks so healthy there 😞💙
What an inspiring interview brought to life by this charming woman
Paul McCartney. A man with good taste.
he mustve been high when he decided to marry heather lol
Yes he as
Jane Asher was gorgeous
I cried all day when she died. I still miss her. What a wonderful human being, lovely Lady Linda.
Linda is a risk taker ... a legend in her own right ... she is missed 💕
She was the best thing that ever happened to Paul.
This is the first time I really got to view Linda McCartney with her telling her things about her life she did seem like a very down-to-earth and nice person so sad she lost her life so young. I WM
She was the love of Paul's life ... his everything and irreplaceable. RIP L. Mc.
Hello friend, how're you doing today?
very impressed by Linda. Seems so grounded and grateful.
I always liked her back up vocals on the Wings albums, underrated voice
Thank you for your comments. I haven't had such a laugh in ages. I feel sorry that you have no clue regarding Linda's contribution to Paul and Wings.
She was quite pretty. How sad she died so young.
Randi Brooks
Yes, my mam told me that she had a range of her vegetarian foods also.
That was Paul's one and only true love. Paul tried to remarry but no one could ever replace Linda
beach side He did remarry. Her name is Nancy. Where the hell have you been?🤣
Was there a one legged Heather who "took him to the cleaners"? Yes, no one could replace Linda.
She was adorable! Imagine the people she's met.... married to Paul McCartney.... has more money than she could ever use.... fame.... and yet, she seems like such a cool person you could just hang with who wouldn't consider herself 'better' than you.... love her..... sad she left us so soon.
Hello friend, how're you doing today?
She was such a lovely lady, much prettier in real life. I met her, together with Paul. They were exceptional couple. RIP
Jean Myers you’re so luckyyyyyyy
Linda was a rockstar in her own right. Her photography is a window into another world that I could never be a part of, and she seemed to have such a way of getting her subjects to relax and trust her.
I've been a Beatles fan since i was about 13. I'm 35 now and today is the first time i've actually heard Linda's speaking voice. I've grown up listening to her singing with Paul, but never actually heard her talk until now. Not what i expected at all.
She is SO beautiful and kind. They were such a beautiful couple....
Absolutely a lovely humble lady.
Lovely soul... so down to earth... R.I.P. beautiful peep...
Linda talked in a mix of American accent with a slight British intonation.
This was TRUE LOVE..
RIP .. Beautiful Linda.
🙏✝️♥️ 💐
What a sensational interview with Linda McCartney. I would love to see a book of her photographs. She takes great pictures! I can't believe she photographed rock stars. Interesting in how she met Paul. And that she didn't want to marry him.
Well Linda was just being careful, after all Paul was known as a ladies man. It all worked out fine in the end
She was so free spirited and so genuine
Beautiful person , Paul was so lucky .
She always had her own sense of style. I believe this carried over into all areas of her life.. Genuine Linda.
Always loved Linda. Never seen this. Thank you.
Linda was a beautiful lady 🌹💟 my heart ❤️❤️ is with her beloved family 🙏🌹 God 🙏 Bless her she was a trailblazer ❤️❤️
What a fantastic interview. Linda comes across as so genuine.
I saw Linda McCartney in Winnipeg concert with the Wings Band! with husband Paul! It's a great concert..I love you Linda.❤ RIP 💋🌹🌷
I like watching interviews with her, she’s very interesting and eloquent and seems so kind. It’s so sad she died so young.
Hello friend, how're you doing today?
its incredible how similiar she is to paul even now 2019, same mannerisms body movement etc lovely lady!
Beautiful, adorable, lovely Linda.
She was a true lady!
Hello friend, how're you doing today?
Seems Linda never gets the recognition she deserves as a synth player. I'll always remember her for synthing the violin section & for her backing vocals during Paul's live, Rockshow version of Silly Love Songs. Seattle's Hippodrome, June 1976. Absolutely wonderful 💙💜💙💜 !
Such a good soul. Beautiful lady.
If I ever joined in maligning her in the 70s I repent and apologise. She is one fantastic person; among my guiding lights
Miguel Urdaci This woman received so much negativity from the early days of being Paul's girlfriend. Yet, she was family orientated, kept Paul's feet on the ground and cared passionately for animal rights. What was there not to like?
I agree.
I lovedddd herrrrrr
Apology accepted as you obviously misjudged her.
She was great! Love her photos.
God bless you Linda Mc Cartney, you have a good heart!!!
Hello friend, how're you doing today?
Ur fantastic Linda....she looks alil like princess Diana
They look nothing like each other!
There is a vague resemblance .I was thinking that as watching just now
What? I see no resemblance!!!
Yeah she did in a way
You'd better not pick someone out from an identity parade - the poor sod would likely be innocent.
When I was growing up I thought Linda was so homely. I look at her now and I see how lovely she really was.
I love Linda McCartney.
Yeah, then you must check out the Documentary Called = “The Winged Beatle” it’s one of the best films about Paul & the Beatles to date x x x *
Her clothes are great. Looking so natural. Like the way she sits with both feet on the ground.
Nice and kind, are two words which describe Linda and Paul.
Seeing Yoko with the Beatles in photos always has not gone down well with me. It still doesn't.
Yes, always intruding, where she is not wanted!
Oh shut it. The Beatles accepted her. Shame you can't 52 years later! Poor you!
Yoko seemed not to have much of a personality. . . .and she couldn't sing
charles brown I agree, although John loved, Yoko and I respect the man so I’m not complaining
charles brown I doubt if she cares much that you don’t like her.
Wow what a great and endearing interview.First time I hear Linda speaking. So eloquent and humorous and so so down to earth. Sir Paul is so blessed to had such a beautiful wife, wonderful friend and mother of his children. So ironic that when WINGS first started, the journalists always put Linda down with her singing and keyboard playing. After listening to her interview, we got to admire Sir Paul for his love and belief in Linda . It is playing togerher that kept their marriage growing and so strong.Made us appreciate Paul's love and tribute to Linda in his great love song...MY LOVE....
Lovely lady...Paul’s true love.
They had a wonderful life together.
