I appreciate it a ton, and that means alot to me!!! Just send me an email to dubbssawshop@gmail.com and I'll get you or anyone who wants to donate anything my shipping address.
@@michaelwhiteoldtimer7648 so much you can learn in this hobby!!! Just when you think you've seen or know it all, you get beat down and suprised 👍🏻, My goal is to never stop learning about everything.
Beat me to it! I have been wondering about that for a while and just didnt know how to compensate for volume under the piston. I'll get something figured out!
Hey, 1 more vid won't hurt, plus it will validate my test or can override it. To me the 55 has to have a smidge more due to the bigger bore, because you can't squeeze the 46mm piston in the 5000 case without grinding.
Good idea! I just did something like that to compare the combustion chamber volume between a chinese cylinder and my oem. What did you do after draining the water to protect the bearings?
They do differ in size a smidge. The main diameter of the opening is a couple mm bigger on the husky to accommodate the larger bore size, but somehow they are still the same size overall. To fit the 46mm piston in the Partner you'd have to clearance the cases a bit
@@Doc-Cole_Trickle-of-Chainsaws Yea something is a tad wee different, kinda the same with the 5000, to fit the Poulan 325 or Husky 55 piston, the cases have to be clearanced just a wee bit to clear. That's gotta be worth something volume wise.
They used a few different thread pitches for the oiler gears, I usually make them out of pipe fittings and a bolt and nut to pull out off. That or just brute force 😂
Since Poulan is owned by Husqvarna, the two brands often share technologies. They also make the same for other companies and use the same parts. Why pay for the name Husqvarna? Nothing special about their saws. I have a Husqvarna dealer two doors down and I can tell you stories about how the quality has slippped big time with Husqvarna and thats coming from my buddy that works there and has to fix the garbage they put out.
Cannot find a mailing address for you. Some of us want to give you things as you give us so much in videos.

Good stuff!
I built the 55 simply because parts are so readily available vs 5k/490. Run the same other other wise imo. This is some great content bud…
Got to know everything about your saws to build those racing saws

Just spary a bit of WD40 on them, it lubricates and displaces the water.
👍👍 good info. Sure looked like the lower transfer opening was smaller on the partner. Optical illusion!
Package arrived😁👊

@@Doc-Cole_Trickle-of-Chainsawsbeen excited to dive in this one. 👍🏻
Beat me to it! I been thinking of how to go about doing this for a while
It ended up being "roughly" 80cc's of water in each one!!!
👍🆙👽
Doc!!!! How's your night going buddy.
The 50 case has 2 be modified 2 be able 2 fit a 51 or 55 piston, so I'd guess the 50 case would be a little smaller

Have you found a reliable way to remove oiler worm gears on the partners? Trying to find an old worm puller or make on.
