Dave's voice is so good on this track, he really takes it outside his comfort zone and scores. This live version is well done, this cant be an easy song to replicate from the album.
I need a box set, "Dave Vanian Sings Every Song Ever Written." What an awesome voice.
This song is absolutley awesome live!
Thanks for posting this :)

Well I had to find the 2nd part of the gift you sent my way. ;-))) This is a great version too. Here it is 11 months later and I find you have stopped hear to here one of your fav'e bands of your youth. The Damned Band is truly magnificent. A great way to spend a Saturday evening. A fantab song and lyrics are always special to me too. A marvelous Friend to share such gems. ;-)
Lol How Sensible may have looked if he stayed for Phantasmagoria
That's "ruffly" what I was thinking!
Ken Lieck you I'am going tube Every one all of you you've link okey all replies
Karai
Great song
thankyou for posting!
Class.
I JUST HIT THE GROUND BOY HAVE I ARIVED
AWESOME BAND
This is a lot better than the studio version
Best performance musically I have ever seen captured on camera by them - I have some new rare Damned live stuff from'82,check it out!!
phew, y'know with the financial crisis and all, really thought things had gone bazaar. Yknow checked the video, and it was actually '88 I last watched em ... wow, my memory has been blown away ... well they said that would happen
Good performance, but I've watched it a few times, and realized there's something really missing... can't hear no drums! It'd really fill it out, seems 'watered down' this way haha, the bass needs to be louder too. Then again, it seems audio issues always happen for TV appearances. Still excellent, and wonderful vocals!
Mr. Scabies has long been departed from the Damned. His replacement (the drummer) is Pinch. The person you presumably referred to 'with no hair' is Stu West on bass.
Excelletn! Much greater than the studio version!
Since when do they show Music videos that are THIS good on FOX?
I miss looking at Patricia Morrison!
The Black Album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that Stu on bass? He looks different. Maybe some hair??!
Yes, you are.
Can't hear the drums
Montys ace, a real character and a great guy.. but, sometimes his keyboard playing is pretty loose! Shame there's no drums or bass in this clip......
Personally , i think he looks like Jeremy Clarkson on this vid.
Man, I have not seen these guys since '92 ... Is that Ratty with no hair?
lol, he kinda does.
The Vamp in good voice; The Capt. strangely off-form in this one
Actually I'm glad he retired the tutu.
i agree.. audio suxx
...& Jeremy Clarkson on keys...?
A great single ..from a great lp ..just not a good performance here I think ....(although always good to see Captain'- was it ever really 'the Damned' without him?)..
HA HA HA
no you're not. I guess that's what this is these days. and this is played so badly
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this is brilliant? The album recording was dodgy and this is better...
@exizofrenia13 they found out the fox sucks and does not rock
Poor!
Terrible version...and they know it..
Mike Cummings You joke Sir!
Am I the only one who thinks Dave sounds like a cheesy lounge singer trying to front a Damned tribute band?
Bloody awful
