Actually Claire was born in 1979 and Leon in 1977, the game is set on September 29th, 1998. I don't know the month or the day they were both born, but Claire and Leon are 19 and 21 years old.

Most important tip in this game IMO! Use your map. Blue rooms mean you've done everything and collected everything in them. Red means you've missed an item OR they're still a puzzle to do (or something to put together). On top of that once you walk near an item it will show on your map so you can come back for it later if you have no room to carry it. This is the best map in any RE game by far.
Read everything and be prepared to backtrack some. You'll find safes, for example, whose combos you will only get by reading notes. These also show up on your map. Try to collect everything. The zombies in this game are massive bullet sponges so there's literally not enough bullets in the game even if you collected every single one and hit all head shots. Thus, running is often the best strategy.
Have fun but remember, take advantage of that map!

The ammo part is wrong I finished the game and had plenty of ammo left after getting done.
You only have to conserve ammo on hardcore, standard and assisted you’ll end up finishing the game with plenty of ammo
@@Beakie40k idk about that, in hardcore theres plenty of gunpowder to make ammo. Sure flame rounds for claire are limited but that's like about it. Just did a hardcore S+ run as claire and I never really ran into ammo issues.
I like to watch someone who is actually scared and nervous when playing scary games. It adds to the experience.

So excited to watch this marz! I played leon first so it's gonna be a while before I get to Claire so I may or may not watch your entire playthrough but from this first video let me give you some pointers. 1. Use up as little inventory space as possible. No need for 2 pistols and extra healing items. Right now save your space for key items because it makes backtracking less of pain. 2. Combine herbs when you can. Adding red herbs to green will you give 100% health. And it clears up space. 3. The keycard for the locker is in a different area than the demo. Also you'll get a grenade launcher instead since you chose Claire. 4. Run from enemies and only engage when absolutely necessary. They take way too many bullets to bring down and it's a waste. Also try taking out limbs instead so they can't get to you or bite you as easily. It may take just as many rounds as killing them but most likely you can save ammo this way so it's up to your discretion. 4. Search every room as throughly as you can. 5. Save often. 6. Use your map. The station is huge. Lots of rooms. Get used to the layout because you'll be backtracking a lot. 7. Read everything carefully. Skipping through memos and notes will just make things harder. No matter how many times you get bit by zombies, you don't get infected. Either you're immune or the idea that canonically the main characters never got bit in the lore so damage and healing are merely to serve the game's mechanics. If a character has or does take physical injuries, it's cause they were meant to take damage as part of the story.
i m SO GLAD that she played as clair first, because this is the acctual canon storyline! so we got realy lucky that she played Claire A and Leon B XD
(it would be nice to se her playing leon A and Clair B as well tough, it doesnt change much, but it does have a few changes)
Sorry to break it to you but the scares in resi 7 are baby scares compared to this game. The lickers are next level scary and Mr X will make your heart pound. Looking forward to seeing you play 😂

Marz is one of those people who display genuine emotions when playing a game - nothing fake and also not like those people who show no emotions at all and play like they don't give a $***. looking forward to seeing every single episode in this series.

I just played through Re2 myself, and I loved it. However, it can't hold a candle to Re7's scares when played in VR. I wish capcom would make a VR mode for Re2. It would blow 7's scares out of the water

Here are a few tips for the next playthrough:
TIP 1 - Don't use a first aid spray until your health reaches the danger status. The spray heals you completely so let Claire take an extra bite or two to make the full use of it.
TIP 2 - Don't consume the green herbs on it's own. Red herb strengthens the healing effect of the green herb when they are combined. It's effectively another first aid spray.
Tip 3: Don't shoot every zombie until it's really blocking your way. You can simply run around them. Just go a little close to bait them and run back or run around to make them lunge forward.

Funny commentary. RE2 is 1 of my favorite video games
i was expecting the comments to be fuming over some of the plays. like stashing guns with ammo in them, ignoring the lock boxes, skipping through memos, wasting ammo, yadda yadda... but mostly everyone is pretty chill. i'm laughing out loud at some of these great moments. approaching the zombie with weapon raised and no ammo. patiently waiting for the empty "click," and watching to see her reaction to realizing it. this is going to be pretty good.
OH SNAP! i'm playing as we speak. chose to take a quick break to check my UA-cam subscriptions and BAM! Marzy's got a resident evil play through. it's gonna be fun to see you get scared endlessly through this play through :)

It's so painful watching so many youtubers read the note on the desk that literally tells you to put the names on the desks in order and you would think it was rocket science because they all fail at it. The puzzle could not get any easier.

I can see that you will have problem later on in this game. So a bit of advice.
Zombie in this game are very hard to kill. The only way you know they’re dead is when the head is blown off. If not, they’re only knocked out. And only shoot the head.
2ndly, manage your ammo. Decide who’s to shoot and knock em down, and who’s to stunt and pass through em.
And please don’t say “i have to many bullet”. It’s a famous last word.

Most of this advice is solid!! But I'm actually gonna have to disagree with a bit of your advise here... the "only shoot the head" bit, going after zombies limbs in this game is actually quite effective. If you shoot their knee's it'll only take about 2-3 rounds with a pistol to dismember their legs as opposed to head shots can sometimes take 5 - 8 rounds to explode there heads. unless you get a lucky critical hit (which marz I think got about 5 of them in this part alone which is unreal to me, Damn!) now it's true that blowing the heads off puts them down for good but blowing limbs off should not be underestimated as it severely neuters their threat while also saving precious ammo. A grounded zombie is much easier to get around then a walking one.

Playing at night wouldn't make any difference if the room was well lit.
I guess she likes her plants too much to change the atmosphere.

@@EarthIsFlat456 i think Jerky meant that she might be playing intentionally in the day for the game to seem less scary and it's nothing to do with the lighting. i do too when playing scary games cause i'm kinda a wuss but i still want to play these types of games haha!
Hearing you tell the story about your first time playing RE2 as a little kid sounds similar to when I first played it. I was about 7 or 8, and I was playing some games on my uncle's PlayStation. One of them was RE2. I remember starting the game up, and dying at the very beginning, and having to experience the "you died" screen. Needless to say, I was not ready for that, and I wouldn't play it again until I was 17. It's still one of my favorite games!
If playing the whole game, it is better as Claire first and then as Leon. So the coin made the right choice. :)

Part 4 of this playthrough was in my recommended. A few minutes into this and you already earned a sub. The voice actress for Claire's name is Stephanie Panisello and she actually has a Twitch where she plays RE2. Her Twitch name is the best pun I have ever heard. Just a fun little tidbit I thought I'd share. Great video btw.

Super hyped for this series and you playing through stories A+B and maybe some of the post main game content, Also mad love PS1 throwback to the original licker scene and for reminding me of playing Dino Crisis (originally with my cousin during holiday and both of us not trying to admit we were scared due to the constant sense of dread it had in it's eerie areas and the camera almost being setup like something was stalking you :P.

Imagine Silent Hill 2 remastered i couldn't play more than 30mins of that game back in time, love you're videos RE2 looks awesome.
I rather have Silent hill 2 remake than remastered so it's new graphics and rebuild it in next gen graphics. Remastered is just going to make it HD and voice that's about it.
@@FLipSide5254 SH2 remastered would look pretty impressive as is. The only issue would be those dated tank controls, but that game is super easy, so it doesn't matter. If anything we need a remake of Silent Hill.

About the herbs:
Green herb = 25% HP recover
Red herb = 75% plus HP recover on a green herb.
Blue herb = Poison antidote.
Green + Green + Green = or same effect as First aid Spray.
Green + Red = or same effect as First aid Spray
Green + Red + Blue = or same effect as First aid Spray plus Poison antidote.
The Blue herb it's rare, try to restrain his use only if the situation requires.

The document you found in the storage room tells you how you can mix herbs. You should have a look. And don't worry to much about the key card. In this version of the game you will find it later. Good work so far! Keep it up.
Poor Marvin, I remember him from the original RE2. Even back then when the voice acting was, less than convincing, I always wanted to save as many people as possible. I like his role in the remake even if its brief and I know he is already done for when you meet him, but I still feel for him and the other police officers that were trapped inside the R.P.D Station.

Marz, that keypad button you found is for the terminal that is missing two buttons, the one inside that room that has all the goodies sitting inside the electronic lockers. :)
Quick tip- You can combine red and green herbs to make a full heal.
