I'm very familiar with both Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock and ever since I heard the solo at the end of Lingus on We Like It Here, I've been making the bold statement that Cory Henry's solo is up there with both of those artists. I wouldn't say it if I didn't believe it.
teeny Herbie Hancock or Chick Corea arent even in the same universe as Cory Henry...those are master class musicians...We're talking underground fusion not legendary gods of jazz
Robert Daniels Now that's a bold statement. Both Corea and Hancock are masters of fusion too. I bet there would be no Cory Henry without Chick Corea or Herbie Hancock. I can picture Henry listening to Hancock's Headhunters over and over. The pitch-bending reminds me a lot of Corea. I bet he had a healthy dose of George Duke too.
Snarky Puppy is the best band i've heard of during these last years, and it keeps going : please make it last forever guys. Thank you very much Scott, for sharing.
Bassist/composer Michael League, first song, "What about me?" Caleb McCampbell on rhodes, shaun martin on moog and other synths. mccampbell is also in the funky knuckles.
Snarky Puppy, by far the "BADDEST ASS BAND" I've seen in a long time, this is "Music" "Personified" !!!! I have been around the world playing and I'm a drummer so you know I"m loving this!!!!!! BOOYAHHH !
same here. Saw them at Berklee School of Music in Boston a few months ago. Electric. Audience filled with musicians who were freaking out over the performances.
I'm so glad the majority of you guys are enjoying the video! I did some weird stuff when uploading the videos, so I just put annotations at the end of each video that will direct you through the order of performance. Enjoy!
Amazing keyboard solo. At 13:24 Mike League on bass and Shaun Martin on moog decide to switch up chords and you see them make eye contact when they decide to do it. Caleb doing his solo adjusts effortlessly while never looking at either of them. True talent.
This performance makes me understand why Deadhead followed the Grateful Dead. This show gives me something new EVERY SINGLE TIME I WATCH IT. Love watching Mike direct the show too. Body language is everything. I want to work for this band so I can experience every single show.
hey man.. i just saw u guys in arlington.. that was probally the best show i have seen there all summer.. especially the song where u got the crowd to sing along.
I like this tempo in What About Me better than the faster tempo at which they play the song nowadays. Slower is funkier! And the drum solo is absolute madness!!
Caleb's solo on that second jam is enough to make a grown man cry, look at his keyboard and say: "I'm gunna miss you Sally." And chuck that joker right in the trash! HAIL CALEB!!!! lol...
Check out the Puppies doing this same song in New York with Cory Henry on the organ. And the guitar player is the featured soloist. Here on youtube. The name of the song is: What about me.
I put a link to the next video in the top right corner at the end of this video. I also just put a link in the description because I think the next part is too awesome to miss.
Keep coming back for Calebs solo on ‘Flood’ , yep , still absolutely phenomenal .
Calebs solo changed my life
Mine too
Me too!!!
100%
This is one of their best shows
that groove that they break into right after 14:00 is one the tastiest things i've had the pleasure to listen to
A year since the last comment…who comes back to this every year because it’s one of the best Snarky vibes you’ve ever seen? Me too
I keep coming back again and again and I have to say it is the best Keys solo I have ever heard and enjoyed thanks cheers
Second best, Cory's solo on Lingus has no equal.
+Robert Daniels that's ignorant. you need to check out Herbie Hancock and chic corea...

I won't be able to listen to Shofukan now without hearing, "Hey! Hey! Hey!" at that one part now. Brilliant!
I just saw this band in a 300 person concert at a tiny University of Richmond theater and it changed my life!
same here. Saw them at Berklee School of Music in Boston a few months ago. Electric. Audience filled with musicians who were freaking out over the performances.
Always love hearing these guys, But This cat on the rhodes really blessed my soul
Can´t belive this is recorded on a cellphone!
I'm so glad the majority of you guys are enjoying the video!
I did some weird stuff when uploading the videos, so I just put annotations at the end of each video that will direct you through the order of performance.
Enjoy!
I've seen a fair of SP vids but this is one of my absolute favorite line ups...Caleb and Shaun are a great combo...loose and tight at the same time

8:59 Flood
24:16 Shofukan (incomplete)

Snarky Puppy live is the best thing ever.
caleb's flood solo is probably the best solo I've ever heard
Amazing keyboard solo. At 13:24 Mike League on bass and Shaun Martin on moog decide to switch up chords and you see them make eye contact when they decide to do it. Caleb doing his solo adjusts effortlessly while never looking at either of them. True talent.

Fusion is not dead!
This is freakin' awesome. Excited for this material! And, great quality from your HTC-seriously now.
This performance makes me understand why Deadhead followed the Grateful Dead. This show gives me something new EVERY SINGLE TIME I WATCH IT. Love watching Mike direct the show too. Body language is everything. I want to work for this band so I can experience every single show.
Caleb and Cory Henry really add funk to the band!!!!
William L. Bunton Sr. Cory Henry wasn’t playing this gig. That’s Caleb and Shaun!
League is a BOSS

CALEB SEAN MCCAMPBELL ON KEYS!!!!
Pound for pound the baddest band in the land.
Caleb's solo on that second jam is enough to make a grown man cry, look at his keyboard and say: "I'm gunna miss you Sally." And chuck that joker right in the trash! HAIL CALEB!!!! lol...
Oh dude! They need to put this on record ASAP!!!
Looking forward to seeing them on the SW Waterfront in DC when the open for The Roots Band.

Its 2020 and WTF Mike did @11:29 is still an unsolved mystery.
