Had to come back and rewatch this set after the terribly tragic news of Shaun's passing. Definitely started tearing up when "Thing of Gold" hit and Shaun started interacting with the crowd, getting them to sing. Damn. RIP you wonderful, wonderful person. Thank you for all that you did for us, Shaun.
I am so glad this footage exist so we can watch and enjoy Shaun in his musical world. His smile and love of wht he was doing will be greatly missed by me as well as all of the Snarky Puppy fans around the world. RIP Shaun.
I really wish that I had been into Snarky Puppy early enough to see this iteration of the lineup.... Everybody is there. Cory, Shaun, Mark, Bob, Sput, and of course the more consistent members. Damn. To have a time machine!
If you are lucky, you can still see most of them (apart from Cory), at their recent London show Shaun and Mark were there, along with Bob Reynolds and Bill Laurence. I also saw them earlier on this tour and Bob Lanzetti was there too. Not sure how often Sput plays with them these days.
@@ocbfdog Are you talking about Sput? He still sits in with them sometimes. Sput, Larnell, and JT were all on Snarky Puppy's latest album, Immagrance, which came out last year in 2019. All three of them were also at this year's GroundUp Festival down in Miami back in February. I think the only permanent member of the band is Michael League. Nearly everyone else has rotated in and out over the years, depending on when they are available to play/tour with Snarky Puppy. I think pretty much all of them have their side-projects, including League. I consider Snarky Puppy more of a collective than a band. It doesn't have to be the same people every time. They are all top level musicians. You pretty much have to be if you're sitting in with Snarky Puppy.
Bobs solo on Celebrity was mega spice but I could feel that “shieette” on his face while he watched Marks Later. Not as many people maybe know Bob but the guy I feel is the most underrated of the band. All his solos on What About Me hit the spot for me every time
I've been watching this over and over again for going on 2 weeks! For that many people on stage, it never sounds "cluttered." #ExcuseMeWhileIGoPractice
That has got to be an amazing high when the audience is singing your originals & not a cover!!! I hope to experience this one day soon in this life time!!!
That version of Strawman is absolutely killer....the interplay between Cory and Shawn is so creative and really fun, particularly when your a musician...it's great to watch the players stretch...great video overall... I view this one regularly, many thnx!
Amazing work here! The collaboration of the two brothers from Brooklyn and Dallas (Cory & Shaun) are today's dynamic musical pair that is a kin to Miles and Coltrane! WOW GUYS at the 9:00 mark and beyond simply amazing work my dudes!
The show is awesome, me being a 17 year old bass player, being able to perform with them is on of my dream performance. But when they gave Sput that drum solo at 1:07:30 it just sent chills down my spine.....just nasty!!!
Man !!!! Individually they are great, but together...smh Absolutely amazing !!!!!!!! Omg !!! I have sooooo much more i need to learn to even be able to hang with this cats

My life is complete, watching Shaun and Corey battle!

Mateja he is no longer in the band

@Arthur Crouzet we had a Pound puppies and I had a ground floor but I sure like Ghost Note... Wish I had a thunkit! ...hey maybe Thunkit?
I love how much fun Shaun and Corey have just horsing around between their insane chops.
totally. They are just having a great time back and forth, with insane display of ability. I miss Corey being in the band.

bob has such a unique approach to playing guitar I love it
This is priceless footage of Sput... thank you
Got more from a Ghost Note show as well!
this is probably my favorite snarky puppy concert, just amazing!!
It.is.Madness. Cory and Shaun conversing across boards 12 in. Have never seen that before. Evar.👍
I've been watching this over and over again for going on 2 weeks! For that many people on stage, it never sounds "cluttered." #ExcuseMeWhileIGoPractice
Cory Henry's & Shaun Martin's solos in Strawman was HOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!
I imagine two computers arguing with each other lol
I love how Shaun and Bob really enjoy and feel Marks solo on young Stuff! This is what i call real musicianship!!
Man im sorry I was not aware of Snarky Puppy back then. I would have loved to be here during this concert.

After a good night's sleep I decided to come back and listen to 33:00 again and it still blows my mind

Thanks for watching! Share it around please so more people can experience it :D
One of the best concerts I have ever seen in person, and grateful to have been there.(both sets)
25:13 - This whole section, chord progressions and all, reminds me of a dream weekend in New York.
Amazing work here! The collaboration of the two brothers from Brooklyn and Dallas (Cory & Shaun) are today's dynamic musical pair that is a kin to Miles and Coltrane! WOW GUYS at the 9:00 mark and beyond simply amazing work my dudes!
Sheeeeeeeyit...where have these guys been all of my life.....? What an awesome discovery..
Mark's solo at the end was the absolutely the best I've ever heard! Wow!!
I think Mark pulls out the most melodic guitar solos in the group, with a very sharp harmonic sense. This guy is a giant
33:50 bro the way sput knew the assignment and the whole band just lays it down
That thing about the Rite of Spring quote is genius, Justin Stanton noticed as well!
Mark Lettieri's solo after 1:17:45 is just masterful...
I wasn't ready for that !
I keep coming back and back for it
lol @zooming in @ Bob Lanzetti's digging-it face
1:19:07 I love it 😂
The show is awesome, me being a 17 year old bass player, being able to perform with them is on of my dream performance. But when they gave Sput that drum solo at 1:07:30 it just sent chills down my spine.....just nasty!!!
Why did you do this to me. It's gonna take me 3 hours to finish this video because I gotta keep rewinding :)
hahaha oops xP
Share and subscribe! :)
They were so amazing haha
+Elijah Brown It took me so long just to make it passed Kite. It's pure amazingness at 2:25.
+Nate C. I concur with him. There are some sick moments throughout.
strawman double duel???? this is one of the best performances of theirs I've ever heard
That transition into Skate U tho
ohateehc real musicianship !
I think this is one of their best performances! I love this version of Young Stuff!! So smooth 😎
Great video! The sound is excellent. These guys are monsters. Thanks for posting this.
Man !!!!
Individually they are great, but together...smh
Absolutely amazing !!!!!!!! Omg !!!
I have sooooo much more i need to learn to even be able to hang with this cats
39:11 My favorite part, when Mark looks like "Hey Bob, I'm gonna double that" As it happens Bob nods and looks like "Nice Work!" and Mark smiles :D
Sebbethy Bob's "nice work" look is one of my favorite parts of watching Snarky Puppy.
ouu yes
Nice, this is pretty good sound for a handheld. Love this band!!
Sput is both handed drummer. I noted that he can play cross and open hand hihat-snare patterns
They played this show on my 10th birthday! :D
Great show!! I loved when Letteri threw the lick from "Jungle Boogie" into "Srrawman" (around 16:30)! Haha
Shaun and Cory joking around in Strawman, combined with the following solos, is the best thing I've seen all week.
this is my favourite incarnation of snarky
Nice work! Thank you for recording this! That was such a fun show. :)
Just checked Oxford's and under jaw dropping it said see Sput's fill here: 1:06:45
Ikr ? And he didn’t even crash coming out of it. What a tease ...... and I love it, as well as his solo at the end of the song.
Trumpet entrance at 1:14:00 is gold! (start listening at 1:13:39)
Can't thank you enough for sharing this. Awesome stuff! And the set list & player info too :)
15:15 The gnarliest sound I've ever heard Cory make and I make the stank face every time I re-listen to it!
the transition to Skate U is just WAY too smooth
I'm a drummer and i dont play guitar, but that little lick Mark Lettieri did at 1:19:30 blew my mind. He is an amazing musician.
The premier lineup. Never equalled since.
sweet loved the show last night
Happy Earthday my Brother! DM.
everybody missed "get down on it" joke by Bob? :D
My favorite part was Shawn martin was dancing 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for filming this! Awesome!
..Can anyone tell me what that crash is that Sput keeps using? it's amazing
Pure, undistilled awesomeness.
Thanks so much for sharing this video!
53.00-56.00 Shawn totally in the zone...love it
Thank you!
Excellent, du très bon son ça groove "bravo"
Man i think spudge might be my favourite drummer! perfect mix of technique and stank.
Matt Mitchell Correction "Sput"
+Emmanuel Vann haha, where did you get spudge from!
That feeling when you connect with someone musically @31:48
Mark Lettieri solo on Young Stuff was Phenomenal!
probably best version of Skate U ever...just great
Impressive for a phone recording. ****** @ 57 min Oh YES! **************
Best Strawman ever.
thanks for sharing, amazing!
Well thanks for watching :)
Share the video and subscribe if you'd like to see more concert vids and music stuff :3
letterie's solo nearly brought me to tears... WOW!! Any chance you could post "young stuff" separately?
Cory and Shaun havin fun from 11:30. Enjoy!
Bobby's look of approval at 39:12
beautiful ending with Mark's solo ....!!
Is League referencing a Herbie Hancock bassline at around 6:38? Something from Headhunters, maybe? Dude in the audience hears it.
Sounds a lot like the solo section of Butterfly - similar chords and in the same key as well
@@patrickbg110 that's it! Thank you!
I so wanted to Cory to play the organ solo in the first half of Young Stuff. When Justin played, I was like, "NOOOOOOO!". He played well though. :P
Justin's way too good for someone's reaction when he starts playing to be 'nooooooo' just saying
Brent Tauro Come on man, Justin rules!
no cIty3rules we no you saying because why he is
Thank you for sharing it!
com o Mark na guitarra é chique demais... mesmo não ouvindo Flood... teve Young Stuff... sensacional o solo...
29:40....they slid into that groove so well
This is peak snark. Cory Shaun and Sput. wow I miss this era
Damn did u see how Justin looked at Mike with that Rite of Spring line?
Genius. These guys play great jazz and fusion but they are all completely legit, incredible musicians in every other sense of the word.
1:17:43 by far my favorite moment in the show
that video just made my day
Mark Lettieri....epic guitar face
Just magic this COLLECTIVE SIMPLY OFF the chart
I like that chilled mellow vibe at 28:40
I was looking for this comment. :) I had to check if this melody was on the album cause it sounds so different here. So magical!
Robert sput searight .. 35:01,,,,,amazing
I love this version of Binky
Mike's solo from 41:00 Fucking dope.
Esses caras são demaaaaaaaaaisss!!
Straw man sounded like 2 synthesizers that were arguing to each other like a bitter couple
Maaaaaaaaark !
Those chords Cory is playing on thing of gold tho!
+Josh Jones Mini Moog ;)
My goodness!
was up band nice show
This is Epic!! :0
actual proof 16:45
Seth Rogen and Mark Rufallo on guitars
At 4:00 for a second I thought I saw Cory play bass
I was there!!!!
from @11:33 to @15:40 almost made me pee myself. Wow!
Mark Lettieri just smashes the end of this set....
