Enjoy!
I miss that kid of shows.. small clubs, with Cory..and I miss those tunes, most of them no more played in live shows.. play them again in 2024 !!! :-)
The rise from 2013-2020 was insane.
The percussion is just absolutely phenomenal.
I love how iconic of a tune Lingus is for Snarky Puppy fans (as a fan, almost all of their tunes are iconic for me)
It's Strawman for me
@@t33nyplaysp0p Strawman is definitely top 5 for me. Young Stuff is at the top in my opinion. No competition
25:30 Lingus
42:47 Young stuff
1:05:57 What about me?
1:15:10 Whitecap
In the dark hours of our countries history, lingus provides the warmth and sunshine to see through this storm. Snarky Puppy for president 2020.
this is what is happening when there is no ego - just we! every member becomes his space. seen them last year in munich. wow!
One of the best versions of Flood I've ever heard. so so good.
Which part was the flood solo?
@@andersonr4562 Looks like flood starts around the 9:40 mark
I love everything about this band.
I think everyone would agree that snarky puppy is the best band in history
This concert was FIRE. I feel like Mike really enjoyed himself on this one. It was also really interesting to see how Snarky sounds with just one keyboardist. Chris killed the sax solo in Skate U too!
I've never seen Michael when he WASN'T enjoying himself...immensley!
I'm glad I finally caught up to this great band.
Whoever gave this a 'thumbs down' doesn't have a soul.
That simple synth bass at 19:23 with that harmonic rythm...
Eye rolling: check ✅
Bass face: check ✅
Jaw pressure: check ✅
And then just took a dancing walk in the jungle... massive!
I loved this concert and keep coming back to watch it again and again. Puppy Magic!!! All Stars. I feel this is one of Corys finest performances. Love Love Love. But again. All those guys are Stars!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤❤❤
Yo this is sick!!! Just rewatched. I can;t even describe how hard I was headbanging at work. Timing is sick!
Pure Gold, long live the energy of this musicians!
Great songs!!!! Thank you, from Brazil!!
12:50 Flood
29:50 Lingus
Too good!
Young Stuff is just a masterclass
Yes MASTERCLASS 👍
this version of whitecap... pure genious
Incredible Musicianship!
Next-Gen FUSION!!!! These people are AWESOME!!!!!
These dudes are from another reality. I can't believe what I saw and heard. DAMN!!
As always
Loved the flood solo
Soooooo, Michael wrote Lingus in a flight, and Larnell learned the whole album in one as well. Okay.
:0
Clearly we’ve gotta keep this band on airplanes all the time
Exactly!!!
@@JonVonBonbon I said this about Fred Vanvleet when the Toronto Raptors won the NBA Finals with him having great shooting: the man needs to have children every playoffs (his first child was born during the Raptors run). Vanvleet was appointed to his first all star game this year.
Did he use Garage Band app?
49:30 Mickael League in another World solo ❤️❤️
Nice that Corey is cranked up. B3 fills really well.
29:54 Man.... how can they shut down that Cory Henry solo on Lingus like that????? One of the best versions I've ever heard...
For sure it was... alien solo. It hurt my soul.
I think Michael's idea was to capture the right moment to comeback and not exactly Corey's momentum.
He himself gave the Queue to stop it
@@lucapotlood6368 Checking it again it seems maybe you're right. My understanding was that after the voiced cue (which I thought it was Michael's) Corey turns his head, checks the signal and adjusts to come back
No Justin on this gig. Interesting. . . . .
really disappointed in my fellow new Yorkers for being such a wack audience
13:44 Wow... Michael catching Cory's line after hearing it only once just a second earlier.
Wow
Ah voila merci!
kory amazing
Very beautiful theme on Lingus we used many times for improvising...
Corey from ~12:50 is insanity
Brilliant, natural, a pleasure.
Any organ players know how Cory Henry makes that sick muddy organ sound at 45:50?
I’m liking the slower tempos on these versions
its the marijuana effect
Brilliant. Can I ask what audio setup you used to record this? Sounds amazing
Listen on 32:33, that's some aesthetics from the famous Lingus solo
brutal
素晴らしい。
Seems like the keys got mixed too loud in the first tune. The sound never got rebalanced.
so it's really Michael League and company, then...! (N)
WHAT A BOP
wow-wow-WOW!
too good!
you missed Jay Jennings on trumpet in the lineup :)
Oh man, Lingus is so slow and gnarly. There has since been a 5-10 BPM tempo increase for that tune for most gigs it seems.
This was recorded in April 2013 - the studio recording was done in October 2013, so I think you're hearing the influence of Larnell's playing on this track. He propels the hell out of the song in the recorded version
So this is literally the first performance of Lingus!
Not quite. Perhaps the first on video, but not sure of that either. They played it in Boston the week before this for the first time in America, according to ML. But it sounds like they wrote and played it a bunch on their European tour that preceded this tour, if you listen to the banter track before Lingus in that Boston show:

55:37
nice!
Cory Henry : baroque musician
So f'ing good. They should have turned down Henry after his solo though. His keys were a bit loud afterwards.
That's just the recording. This was recorded with microphones on stage, and they got all of Cory's leslie.
But wasn't his volume turned up during at around the 11 minutes marker?
@@t3nder-4pe Hahaha no more reaction after that. You got him.
Oki....doki
Don't get me wrong this is just fine mucicallity😂
Tranquilo CORY, nadie se dio cuenta que tapaste con cinta (mal por cierto) la marca KORG.
1:05:50 "What About Me"
29:50
who on the trumpet ? i mean organ ..your description off.. wrong name wrong instrument
no you're wrong
25:30... not quite my tempo
55:00 skate u
That audience doesn't understand the greatness in front of them.
They're dumb, but you're smart? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Please show the drummer, 12:34 Steve
Steve, you may notice that from this position there is virtually no sightline to the drummer for the entire 94 minutes of this video.
@@mkdevo Thanks mk devo. I just cannot get enough of the SP percussionsists.
poor audio mix bass drum too loud
Recorded from the stage. Nothing to do with the mix.
Real masters here , no " wantabes."
1:20:46 ...🤤🤤🤤
Dont get me wrong, I love this band, but this has really terrible sound balancing/fidelity.
JESUS CHRIST Loves y'all
😶
Do people really have to yelp like someone just sat on them every time they hear a note? We know you like it, you paid to be there....we get it, you're enthusiastic. But dammit let us hear the beautiful music
too weird
