- Today, we take a field trip to the Daytona LKQ junkyard to hunt and find some BMW parts for our E46 wagon project! Our main goal was to get a driveshaft, and although we got a little dirty and wet, we saved a TON of money compared to buying the same driveshaft from a private seller.
Below is a link to the LKQ website, they have locations in multiple states. See if they have BMW parts near you! Thanks for watching :)

Wooo that mirror bubbling was strange
Nice video, I’m digging the pink crox
Once you've gone Crox you'll never go back, and pink is my favorite color 😁 Thanks for watching, Jeffrey!
How is it you are able to undo the bolts on the exhaust pipe without issue? Aren't yours all rusty? Mine are covered with bubbly rust, look like cauliflower .
Currently having the same issue with my E46 - same vibration with throttle, replaced my rear driveshaft and it fixed it for a bit, but the issue is back - it's a RWD car, so not front shaft on one, but definitely frustrating.
Did you replace the center support bearing at the same time? If you used a used driveshaft, it's possible the u-joint is failing again on that one.
@@TheBimmerBarn It was a rebuilt shaft from a reputable place in texas- came with the CSB already attached, thinking I may have gotten unlucky and the joint failed the same way, since the old joint failed the same way yours did.
also had a decent amount of play in my rear diff bushing, that may have been allowing more movement than the shaft was happy with and wore it down quickly... Have to get the shaft out and find out what's going on
So it doesn’t matter how you install new driveshaft no marks?
@@jayceemendez2259there should be marks where the two shafts come together at the center support bearing to indicate how they're joined for balance
Amazing content, catching up with episodes 🤣
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
im looking forward to this one!
hey bro do you have to bring your own tool?
Yes, you must bring your own tools. They will lend you a wheel barrel if you ask nicely to move your parts from the car to the front desk. You CANNOT bring any batteries or jump packs, because they don't want you powering on the car.
Just throw new one in? Don’t have to line up anything or mark anything
I think you need a safety hat next time 😂😂😂
Bro u get too close to the camera. I usually fast forward first 10 secs of the video to avoid that. It’s kinda invasion of one’s privacy. May be that’s why ur channel isn’t taking off even though u do kick ass work.
Thanks Bobby, I'm still learning and trying to make my channel better, so I appreciate your positive feedback. I'm thinking of completely dropping the intros from now on, hoping it might get more engagement.
