So many things have changed for me as well.. Added a Manual 2001 E39 540 to the collection, AND an F10 535i M Sport! I will be reaching out again about some "Work"... But I need that E39 USB Kit.. As soon as you have yours done, i'll take one asap!
Are you still running 3" straight pipe, for exhaust? Headers? I just had a swap done in my wagon. Still need to work out some bugs. Over in Clearwater.
Great video, I personally think you're very much headed in the right direction. I know there is a small, but enthusiastic, group of people who would love a 3D printed true reproduction of the e46 wagon mud flaps / splash guards. These became NLA a few years ago, and as far as I know, nobody has reproduced a set yet. The fronts are the same as the sedan, but the rears are a bit different. My .02!
I consider myself a decent CAD drawer (I am CSWA certified in that field with SolidWorks) and I do have a printer myself + 3 others available. But the only thing is that I live in Northern Europe, it also wouldn't be as easy since I don't have the access on the car for which you would be interested in mud flaps (I know 2 people that have E46 wagons, but they live quite far away) 🥲 Would be cool to do something like that.
Hey Stephane, happy new year to you too! Yes, just re-organizing my work and life schedule. Hoping to release some really informational videos soon, more diy's and builds! Thanks for checking in 🙂
@@TheBimmerBarn Nice ! Happy to read you :) On my side. You gave me confidence and inspiration as I successfully changed my valve cover gasket on my E92 N55 ! You’re a great teacher ;) My first « big » maintenance on my bimmer (oil change doesn’t count as it’s one bolt only 😄)
3d printed insert for the e39 phone slot, make the arm rest a smooth top like a euro car. Mabye even make it a flip top so its a small container with a lid in the arm rest? Put the charger in that. I would ditch the factory plastic phone insert so the 3d printed piece clicks in. I have axis to a 3d printer, making one for my turbo s52 e39 is on my list, just no time. Too busy making glass/ colored glass. ( I will be the first to buy one. Black of course. )
I love you channel and if I weren't so very broke. I almost exclusively work as a volunteer and only income is not sufficient for much else after bills and rent etc. Maybe sometime in the future I will be able to support your fine work. Thank you for it all!!
Thanks Greg! I'm glad you find the videos valuable, and I can relate to your situation so don't worry about it! It's the fact you left this nice comment that makes me happy. Have a nice day!
hello, new subscriber here! quick question: did the machine shop replace all of the valve stem seals? and about the oil pump: did you replace any parts in the oil pump, or is it just cleaned? p.s. i have an m62 rebuild project going on (e53 x5), i hope your m5 engine breathes fire soon!
Hey! Yeah we replaced all the valve seals, but I'm starting to believe they were not OEM seals that I must have supplied/purchased for the build at first, since they looked different from the ones I installed the second time. As far as the oil pump, just had it disassembled and cleaned, as part of the whole block which was cleaned. Removed all gunk in the motor to start fresh. Good luck on your build, Nathan!
Would love to see you 3D print a wireless charger retrofit for various chassis! I know it has been done to replace the coin tray on E46s. E90 sunglass tray would be easy to design a wireless charging tray for as well.
Thanks Von! I think I might make some more Turo videos, but I'm not sure how many of the current subs will be watching. But hopefully some people out there get inspired and learn something!
Hi, I'm sure that if you come up with good 3D printed products for BMW's (and probably for other brands, too), they will grab a lot of interest. Good luck!
I don’t mind paying you to do the coding on my wagon. I follow step-by-step like you did yours, including the ABS module and all that stuff I studied your video and did it but having coding issues like, I don’t know what to code to make everything work
Hey brother, just been busy with other businesses, but I'm healthy and happy don't you worry! After 2 years of making videos full time, I've just been on a break, taking in a deep breath and enjoying how far we've come. More videos coming soon for sure, and if you want to see what I'm up to more personally, check out my other channel! I've been doing more 3D printing stuff, flying FPV drones, and Turo stuff of course. Thanks for checking up on me, friend.
@@TheBimmerBarn I’m really glad to hear that! I haven’t seen a video in a while and I just wanted to reach out. I’m glad you’re doing well. Sometimes we need to take some personal reflection time to regroup. I hope you got some new bmws! I just picked up a super clean e36 318i vert 5spd. And sold my 6spd e46 XI wagon.
Niceeee, my M3ti is still in storage mode, but I hope to really dump some money into it once I have the time to get back into drifting. Such a great chassis, you should consider doing a M50/M52 swap! it's really easy :)
Hey BB, Hoping you can point me in the right direction. My X5 E53 is completely dead. No power, had to manually unlock door to get in an pop cabin door to access battery. Battery is completely fine, but there is no electricity at all. Any ideas as to where I can start? Thank you!
Sounds like a fuse related issue. I'd check the battery terminals to make sure they're clean, and then test the 12v+ from the battery to the front of the car where it goes to the alternator/starter, and also the fuse box. Could also possible be a main relay, but I think the car would atleast power on in some way with a bad relay. Checkout my video on using a power probe, that's going to help you a ton! Good luck and thanks for watching 😊
@@TheBimmerBarn Thanks brother! I really apprecaite your knowlege and help!! It was a fuse. Replaced and installed new battery. Now the speedomter is dead. Ha!!! Love this car though!!
Not sure when youll see this, but im installing a vrsf charge pipe (same as the one in your 335i wagon intercooler and charge pipe video) and it refuses to slide in as easily as yours did, into the throttle body. Ive tried oiling it up and nothing works. Every single video on youtube just treats it like its an oem part that fits perfectly and no one shows what to do if it cant fit. I know its the right part. And im not mechanically challenged. It just does not slide on like yours or anyone elses did.
Hey! So I'd recommend trying to install the charge pipe without the silicon coupler connecting it to the intercooler, so you can more easily wiggle it on. That should work, and then you can install the silicon after. It's a tight fit, but it's meant to be. Make sure there's nothing underneath the throttle body that's getting in the way of installing the charge pipe! Hope that helps.
Great business opportunity Chris. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend, regards Nico.
All the best

Go for it!

I can vouch for the v1 charger. Mine works and fits no problem. I'll have to see if I can come up with some parts for you to make for the f15.

I have one quick question what vehicle order did you put on your E 91 and 54 swap wagon?

How about a 3D printed USB retrofit to cover area in front of the shifter where always broken cupholders are
You know I thought about this, but then you can't use that plastic cupholder that everyone uses in that place. Would be a cool location though!
I got a 3D print you can do. E61 roof rack deletes! I hear the factory ones are like $1000 😅

I think one already exists for the e90 too! Definitely a great idea, I'm going to keep this one in mind.
What part of Florida
Please post every week twice thank you
3D print part the problem is the heat...If you live in a hot area it will twist the shape due to the heat
Yeah that happens with pla, but that's why I use PETG, it doesn't warp or crack easily 💪
do it with 3d print! i have a few 3d printers as well. I still fix my car 325i :)

What software u using for the designs
For 3D designing I primarily use Tinkercad if I'm being honest, and starting to use some Blender as well. Both free software to use!

Buy the most beat up bmw you can find locally and see what it will take to kill it.
