My husband bought one for me for Christmas. He was blown away (no pun intended) by the Dyson hairdryer he got for me a few years ago, so he wanted this for me. Lol. Ok! No arguments here. Glad it works well.
I’m a hairdresser and I know exactly what Malibu is saying and I love the Dyson tools they are expensive. Every tool has it pros and cons and everything she outlines is exactly how I had experienced the other Dyson tools. As for not giving the bio iron a fair go I feel when you know you’re tools you know what they do good n bad. How dare people say she didn’t give an honest review. Go to buy your own tools and waste your money and work out the good the bad n the ugly yourselves then keyboard warriors! Thank you again for your wonderful detailed descriptions of hair tools for our benefit. 💕🇦🇺👸
I’ve NEVER been able to achieve easy curls with a flat iron until I’ve owned the Dyson Coralle! I got one for Christmas and since I already own a bio ionic flat iron I really didn’t think I needed it.. but wow. I couldn’t believe how I easy I was able to achieve beautiful curls with the Dyson. It also makes your hair feel so healthy and smooth.
Thank you so much for your review and tutorial! My husband bought me this for my birthday but I thought it was overpriced and useless. However, after watching your tutorial I was able to curl my hair, straighten it better and learned how to charge it while using it! Thank you! 😊💗
I think the width of each arm was intentional for two reasons. 1. They kept the end consistent from the hand held section where they need to store the battery. Batteries take space and I think Dyson decided to keep it the same width from the base to the end. 2. The wider arms towards the end where the plates are allow to form a rounder more wide curl and this also helps eliminate kinks if you don’t know how to achieve this with the wrist flip and consistent movement through hair that you would do with a regular flat iron. It’s fool proof.
This is making me want to buy this flat iron. It’s so expensive, but man! If it’s going to straighten, and make curling easier, well that’s going to be the selling point
I'm loving my Dyson flatiron. Not happy with the price! For my wavy, curly hair, it's a miracle tool. It will flatten my hair and pretty much stays that way till my next wash. And, without damage. I use the 365 setting. My hair is just below my ears and all one length. Haven't tried to curl my hair. Just loving the flat iron! Thanks for your video!
I own both! The Dyson straightener gives a nice sleek straight or curl, where as the airwrap gives more of a blowout look. Honestly love both. I would say the airwrap is a little more cumbersome for travel, but I just tend to not bring all the attachments. I recommend waiting for the Sephora sales when they do 20% off your purchase :)
I have the Dyson Corral and I love it! Everything you said is true. You have to use it to really understand that it’s the best. Thanks for this video! 💖✨👍🏻
Hi Milabu, can you please link your first review video on the Dyson, I can't find it anywhere. I really want to buy this and wold love to see your review... thx
I saw the first video and when she was straightening her hair she was having problems with the Dyson “tugging” on the hair. No such problem with the Bioionic . When you saw each half of her head I thought they looked no different. Just watched the hairdresser Brad Mondo review it and he had the same problem when straightening and, found that using it to curl the hair left creases. Watch that video, you get a professional opinion.
Could you compare it to a "normal" flatiron that is not vibrating? Because I think that this is the reason for your hair flattering and falling out. I have never had this problem with any flatiron. And they where a lot smoother than the Dyson (at least from what it looks like)
Milabu, I seriously looooooove your aura. We'd make great friends if I lived in Nashville. We have night and day hair textures, and I don't like the job the dyson did on your drop dead gorgeous tresses, but I love to watch your shows just for your positive, radiant energy. 🙂 Keep up the good work!
Oooo finally I’m using it right!! I bought a GHD which I’m sending back. Soooo hot! This doesn’t feel hot and leaves hair with volume. I think I wasn’t using it on a high enough heat before
lol so many people knocking the authenticity of the review. I for one think your curls look great, soft silky but yet the curls and waves have structure. Yes of course you can get the same results with cheaper irons but you are not getting the same results in terms of protection. The Dyson is apparently 50% more gentle on the hair, and for those kind of benefits I’ll give them my money.
I agree on the issue with the battery issue, especially if someone like me not very good at getting to grips with curling with hair straighteners. Also if you have issues with shoulder or arm as I have to a spiral fracture about 15 yrs ago, which has left me with limited movement and some days cannot lift my arm properly, battery does not last for me to even get a quarter of the way through using them. As for straightening, my hair has never been so straight and smooth. For such a high price tag, I think the battery issue should be addressed. I think if that were to happen I would definitely invest in an upgrade. I also have the Dyson Air-wrap and have now owned this for approx 4 yrs, so I would definitely love an upgraded version of the straightener.
Reading through the comments, I know the Dyson price point can be really off putting to some people but if you can afford it, they do make quality investment products. I own the Dyson Airwrap, Corded and cordless vacuums, Air purifier, and even the Corrale (which tbh even surprised me as I own Bio Ionic- also a great flat iron) all amazing. If what you’re already using works for you then that’s fine! But these reviews are super useful for anyone who is on the market for one. I also want to add that Dyson customer service is really great too. I had a vacuum repaired and a health check after years of owning it. The airwrap and corrale is perfect for anyone like me who really struggles with styling their own hair. If you nailed your own blowout or flat iron curl technique with the tools you already have, then that’s ok to stick with.
am i not remembering correctly or did you say in your first video that you didn’t like this as much compared to the bio ionic? you said it wasn’t as straight and there was more frizz?? am i crazy orrr?
I appreciate you comparing it to other flat irons so thanks for this video. I buy flat irons based on straightness, type of plates and heat distribution and not really for curling so it's nice that it does great curls but it's not what I'm after. Your always the most informative to me but I never saw the initial video so I don't really know much about this one. It's a little too bulky for me especially being that I have to get my roots because they're a different texture.
Very nice flat iron...more than I'm willing to pay. I love my Naiyo flat iron argan oil tourmaline ceramic titanium plates, LCD temperature display, digital controls, auto shut off , and more its 18.99 on Amazon. Bought it cause mine went up to hold me over till my disability check came in but really liked it and I'm still using it.
Defective battery - twice! I purchased my Corrale in March 2020 and it stopped working in 2021. Dyson indicated the battery issue was not repairable and they sent a a refurbished unit as a replacement. The replacement had the same battery issue and died in March 2023. Spent $500 on a device that didn’t even last 3 full years.
The curls are very nice, no doubt, and I can see what you are talking about it keeping the hair in place...but still not worth $500. I love my bio ionic flat iron and it may take smaller sections of hair for the hair not to fall out, but I much rather do that than spend $500 on any hair tool.
I don't know what it is about Dyson, but both the airwrap and the coralle will not hold a curl in my hair, even on the higher heat settings. They literally fall out within 5 minutes.
The curls don’t look as smooth as the bio ionic to me. It’s great that the Dyson holds the hair in place but the curl looks frizzier, maybe because it doesn’t flatten the hair as much. It seems like you are trying to like it more than you actually do. I feel like you were trying hard to make the bioionic curl not work. 🤫 I won’t tell anyone. 😉
Ally Katt I was thinking that before I even read this comment! The first video compared the two tools for a whole half a head. Bioionic was given two pieces of hair.
I know what it got my hair came from waves curls. I had a friend Jamie works at a hair salon. She is going to iron my scalp.and so right? Sprays Shampoo and conditioner. Before she puts highlights and I’m also going to get my hair cut before my semester. Doing my 💄 and get my teeth fixed. And I’m ready for this program
FOR someone who straighten hair almost everyday, this looks so tempting. but i also want the airwrap.. ..these are amazing productos but really soooooo expensive..=,=
To Dyson, please make this (and the airwrap) in all the same colours as the hairdryer. I like my products to match! Thank you! Love a consumer who is refusing to buy until it you sell in white! Xxx
Hi I'd be really interested to see a comparison between the Dyson flatiron for curling vs the airdryer. I have an medical condition which means I'm not extremely dextrous so I need an easy option, but I can't afford both at Dyson prices!
Victoria Lister I use my Dyson airwrap as my blow dryer with the attachment. You can curl your hair with a round brush and the dryer but it takes skill and time consuming. There are times I miss the blow dryer (sold it when I moved over seas because it’s not dual voltage). It is hard to pick between all three. It’s almost like you need all three. I have not successfully mastered a blow out with the air wrap. How I would rank them 1. Blow dryer- can dry, straighten or curl with a round brush 2. Flat iron because you can straighten and curl 3. Air wrap you can.curl and dry. Haven’t mastered a sleek blow out with the brush attachments. Downside is the curl is not a modern wave curl.
I have to disagree! Dyson promises 50% less heat damage to hair compared to other straighteners. Plus it has 3 temperature settings which it is appealing for fine hair to the thickest! It is also cordless which makes it even better!
I don‘t have much money…and still have the Dyson. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sure it‘s expensive but it IS the best flat iron on the market. So you should try first before judging.
I just can't see spending that much though. I mean that's a car payment. Of course I'm saying this as someone who doesn't fix my hair all the time. I'm an extremely hot natured nurse so I wear ponytails most of the time. Someone else might have a different perspective. Love your videos even when I would not use the product :)
i had a revlon in the past that has plastic comb attached. it did the chaser method basically. it was so awesome. i wish i could find it again. i dont know why they dont have a little guide comb option on more flat irons.
I have the Dyson hair dryer and the air wrap. I like them both but I don't think this flat iron is worth the price. It's bulky and I wouldn't ever need to curl my hair without an outlet near by. There are better options for half the cost.
Momma Bear In the UK there are no outlets in bathrooms. So I can see a benefit of it being cordless but the price is hard to swallow. I’ll stick to my air wrap.
It looked like the hair placed at the middle of the iron makes a more round and bouncy curl and when you did it with the curl placed at the end of the plates the curl was more elongated if that makes sense. You should do one whole side of the head with the hair at the middle of the plates and one side where the hair is placed at the end of the plates to compare the versatility of the types of curls you can get with the iron
I can’t find any of your newer/newest videos. When I view UA-cam on any other device it doesn’t give me the option of going to your channel. It only offers videos over the last several years. Hope everything is okay. Hope everything works out soon.
Yes. Mine too. It's odd. But what u have to do is just click on any of her videos and then click on her pic where it says milabu. Then click under videos. Newest will be in order. It seems a lot of people are having issues on this channel
I bought it but honestly I can’t use it to curl my hair cause I just can’t get it right. 😂. I also purchased the hair dryer. Now what about the hair wrap is it easy to use
My Sedu flat iron that’s about 13+ years old is going to die any day now. The cord is fraying. I hardly curl it with it because of this very reason-the hair splays out and falls out. Drives me nuts. I just ordered the Dyson Airwrap and can’t wait to play with that! I guess I’m gonna start saving my Ulta points, and ask for Ulta gift cards for Christmas and birthday!
I can’t get it to not stick on my hair and pull. It won’t go through it. I’ve tried large and small sections. If I loosen up on my grip then all the hair falls out. I’m so frustrated and don’t know how this works for people. I’m binging videos to try and determine what I’m doing wrong and can’t figure it out! 😩
For 500 it better be good he’ll it better get up & curl it for me. If I could afford it I’d get the air wrap. I’d love your opinions on the NuMe octowand
I was not amazing at curling my hair with a flat iron but my Kristen Ess one is amazing. I would recommend. I have played with the Dyson as well and you definitely can pass and get similar results with an 80$ one.
Very pretty I wish my curls would turn out like that after I brush them out with my fingers. My curls always seem to "fall" when I finger brush them. Any opinions? Also would you try out the le reve flat iron by Langè?
This is called rationalization and or you have perfect thin easy to manipulate hair in perfect weather climate. Thick ethnic Puerto Rican hair that is straight/wavy/curly demands superior product to manipulate and I just tried dyson and it cut down my time spent by like 70%! Crazy.
Hi! I have short hair and wear it straight all the time. I am debating between purchasing the flat iron vs the air-wrap which has the brush. What do you suggest is more worth it? Thank you!
Would depend on what finish you are after. You don't get that totally pin straight hair with the air wrap. Or as much frizz control. You do get a more natural look with movement. That is just comparing the air wrap to a normal straightener (GHD).
My husband bought one for me for Christmas. He was blown away (no pun intended) by the Dyson hairdryer he got for me a few years ago, so he wanted this for me. Lol. Ok! No arguments here. Glad it works well.

stephanie prayoga thank you looks great 😊
To be fair if you watch her first impressions video she compared the bio straightener on half the head 🤦🏻♀️
Hi! I like to curl my hair and I find a traditional wand to damage my hair. Would the Dyson flat iron and better? Thanks for your response.
Can yo pls do a hair care routine, coz ur hair is so healthy and shiny Since you use so much heat on you hair . Thank you.
Got my Corral yesterday! Madly in love! Super easy to use, lowest heat curls and straightened. Hair is shiny and fresh! It’s super quick! I

I'm surprised by how people get so shocked by the price. Just think how much people pay for designer handbags. !
And the health Of your hair is way more important than designer hand bags . It just shows you how backwards our world is

I have been trying to curl with the Dyson straightener and I don’t know what clicked when I watched your video but I consistently got it! THANKS!!!
I think the width of each arm was intentional for two reasons. 1. They kept the end consistent from the hand held section where they need to store the battery. Batteries take space and I think Dyson decided to keep it the same width from the base to the end.

Hi! So you find that it doesn't damage your hair as much ? I guess Dyson technology?
it's really cool how your hair doesn't look frizzy when you run your fingers through it. Mine always looks frizzy when I run my fingers through it.
Can you compare curling your hair with this Dyson straightener to the Dyson hair wrap please?
I own both! The Dyson straightener gives a nice sleek straight or curl, where as the airwrap gives more of a blowout look. Honestly love both. Is it heavy please?
@@soniahull7233 no and I have weak wrists !

Confused why the first review isn't on here? I was waiting and waiting for it.
Reading through the comments, I know the Dyson price point can be really off putting to some people but if you can afford it, they do make quality investment products.
This is so nice to see, that some tools can really surprise you. And you found a flat iron that better performs than the bio ionic.
Thank you , now I can make my purchase. It is so confusing choosing a flat iron!

That's exactly what I think!
Mine snags all the time
I don't know what it is about Dyson, but both the airwrap and the coralle will not hold a curl in my hair, even on the higher heat settings. They literally fall out within 5 minutes.
Hi, do you need to wet the hairs or apply oil before using the straightener? Please advise. Thank you.
Never use a flat iron in wet hair, only for dry hair. Also ALWAYS use heath protectant.
Who else likes before watching!?
Can you put that video here on YT?
wait what?! I didn't see your original review! I've even been looking out for it!
Always look forward to your reviews💋💋
Where is your first video 🤔😁 can’t find it 😬
Great review enjoying this thank you.
Just brought my irons today .
Thank you for comparing your favorite iron to others you try. Its good to know.

I have not successfully mastered a blow out with the air wrap.
How I would rank them
1. Blow dryer- can dry, straighten or curl with a round brush
2. Flat iron because you can straighten and curl
3. Air wrap you can.curl and dry. Haven’t mastered a sleek blow out with the brush attachments. Downside is the curl is not a modern wave curl.
My hair is thinning. What shampoo do you think is best for your hair and scalp?
Nixon is a really good brand for thinning hair & they have different shampoos for ur hair type.
500 dollar flat iron I don’t think so. I have the dryer, I love it, but Dyson are not appealing to the majority and this thing proves it.
I have to disagree! Dyson promises 50% less heat damage to hair compared to other straighteners. Plus it has 3 temperature settings which it is appealing for fine hair to the thickest! It is also cordless which makes it even better!
It's a good product for people who have the money 😂
I don‘t have much money…and still have the Dyson. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sure it‘s expensive but it IS the best flat iron on the market. So you should try first before judging.
I just can't see spending that much though. I mean that's a car payment. Of course I'm saying this as someone who doesn't fix my hair all the time. I'm an extremely hot natured nurse so I wear ponytails most of the time. Someone else might have a different perspective. Love your videos even when I would not use the product :)
We need a baby update!!
Hi.I can't find the initial Dyson first review video... :(
i had a revlon in the past that has plastic comb attached. it did the chaser method basically. it was so awesome. i wish i could find it again. i dont know why they dont have a little guide comb option on more flat irons.
The price is the only cons i have! I have straight hair and it does a good job on curling my hair.
Hi! Are you able to do the curl where you twist a few things then pull down? That is my favorite. Thanks for all your videos. Happy New Year
Do you keep all the irons or curlers? I know they pay you for doing the videos but all the expensive things
I tried this for the first time last night abs it’s fabulous!! and I’m a guy haha
I’ve just bought this and can I use it while it’s plugged in?
I have the Dyson hair dryer and the air wrap. I like them both but I don't think this flat iron is worth the price. It's bulky and I wouldn't ever need to curl my hair without an outlet near by. There are better options for half the cost.
Momma Bear In the UK there are no outlets in bathrooms. So I can see a benefit of it being cordless but the price is hard to swallow. I’ll stick to my air wrap.
I feel like you're trying to convince yourself that you LOVE it. Many of your newer reviews are like that.
I think shes just really just trying out new stuff but I mean to each their own opinion

I bought it but honestly I can’t use it to curl my hair cause I just can’t get it right. 😂. I also purchased the hair dryer. Now what about the hair wrap is it easy to use
The plates are flexible put your finger between the plates when it’s cool you will see what I mean. Love all your tutorials. 🥰🇦🇺
Why u delete the first video ??
marwa alrshid she didn’t. It was uploaded on Facebook on Thursday
@@maggiemonroy8219 Yes, she did. It was here on UA-cam and now it's gone.
It was deleted. I was in the middle of watching it on UA-cam and it just disappeared. I had to finish it on Facebook.
Jennifer Martinson What did she say on her last video? I didn’t get to watch it
Hey!! I was wondering what kind of shampoo you use? Your hair is gorgeous and so healthy!!
Can you compare the curls with the other wand type they sell please. You’re a star ⭐️
Oh wow you got into this one fast lol
I trusted you so much 🤨
For 500 it better be good he’ll it better get up & curl it for me. If I could afford it I’d get the air wrap. I’d love your opinions on the NuMe octowand
is it heavy comparing with the others?
I was not amazing at curling my hair with a flat iron but my Kristen Ess one is amazing. I would recommend. I have played with the Dyson as well and you definitely can pass and get similar results with an 80$ one.
Amazing video!!!! Thank You So Much!
Ohh you are amazing you know how to do with both hand
Very pretty I wish my curls would turn out like that after I brush them out with my fingers. My curls always seem to "fall" when I finger brush them. Any opinions? Also would you try out the le reve flat iron by Langè?
Put mousse in or something similar
Bottom line- you love it.
Thank you!!!
I would also like to see your hair care routine please. I so wish that dyson would make hair tools around $25.00
I love my córrale and I can get ready in the car while my husband is driving.
I can get the same result for far less than $500, this is a hard pass.
No different from any curling or straightener can do.
yup 100%
This is called rationalization and or you have perfect thin easy to manipulate hair in perfect weather climate.
Thick ethnic Puerto Rican hair that is straight/wavy/curly demands superior product to manipulate and I just tried dyson and it cut down my time spent by like 70%! Crazy.
really struggled to curl. It was painful and pulled a lot of my hair out. PLUS the curl just immediately fell out...really frustrated
❤️❤️❤️ Early bird here..
❤️❤️❤️❤️loved the video xx
OMG yes finally
Love this
