Liked getting a sugar free Acai recipe but can't get over the pulverized plastic in the smoothie, I thought I saw that wrong but you can see the strip of plastic move when she adds the 2nd ingredient.

You could also add a avocado for healthy fats, and it makes it so creamy ☺
If you eat chia seeds often please make sure yoy drink plenty of water cause just like Mona said it sucks up water. If you dont drink enough water can harden and make it hard to poop.
Only tip to add: get ceylon cinnimmon if consuming in higher quantities as regular supplement. Cassia cinnimmon in high quanties can cause liver issues for some people.

I have basically the same smoothie I just swap the sweetener by using unsweetened desiccated coconut and use a chocolate flavoured whey hydrosolate and powdered goji berries, it's all good 😊

@Drmonavand Thank you for your videos! I’ve been eating smoothies due to a bone infection in my jaw which had catastrophic consequences. Ive eaten a healthy “clean” diet for many years & like most of the base in this smoothie with the health benefits. I don’t enjoy the taste or smell of coconut. Can you suggest an alternative for this ingredient?
I do something very similar except I never thought to put cocoa in the smoothie! I did this today and added more ice to make more of a smoothie bowl and put shredded coconut and cacao nibs on top! I think I can barely taste the açai! Since the cacao powder was sooo strong
My dad was just told he needs to go on a no sugar, low carb, low protein diet. It’s been a shock to him so I may introduce this to him since it’s sugar free. He can’t have nuts or seeds so we’ll have to sub that out! But the açaí is so good

Very nice recipe! Açaí is a treasure from both north (Euterpe oleraceae) and south (Euterpe edulis) Brazil! As a Brazilian, and having Portuguese as my mother tongue, let me suggest you to use the "Ç" when writing AÇAÍ (the correct way to write it). So that people could understand why it is pronounced with an "s" sound. :)

I know it’s not a technical a recipe request, but I love love Starbucks, any good options to get at Starbucks instead of a regular Frappuccino or iced latte ( mocha, caramel flavor) ... thanks
marlen mejia I work at Starbucks. All of the frappuccinos have emulsifiers in them which are packed with sugar. The only things you could get that are healthy-ish at Starbucks would be iced coffee (unsweetened), iced latte with a non dairy milk, or unsweetened ice tea without any infusions or lemonade (the infusions are juice concentrate and syrup and the lemonade is also essentially just sugar). You could also get espresso shots over ice with a splash of milk. But it’s always so much cheaper to make everything at home and then you know exactly what goes into it😉 most of the extra ingredients at Starbucks have soooo much sugar hidden in them😭 hope this helps.
What would be a healthy substitute for a maple syrup? My girls love pancakes but love to put a lot of syrup on them.. maybe a healthy pancake recipe?

Hi Mona. PLEEEEASE tell me which vegan milk is the healthiest. I have acne-prone skin not sure if that's helpful to know, but I don't know if I should be drinking soy milk. Lately, I've been seeing smoothie videos and people put almond or oat milk. Is it healthier and safer to drink compared to soy milk? Does Soy milk cause breast cancer too? What should I be drinking?

It will spike blood sugar and insulin as dates are still a sugar just like cane sugar, honey, maple syrup etc. Stevia and mini fruit have sweeteness without causing the blood sugar spike in the body.
The coconut nectar would be a great alternative.

I bought coconut nectar from TradersJoe and after a while it got really hard I couldn’t even take out. Does that happen to yours...I thought maybe is not pure.

Hi Dr Mona Vand any advice on what I should be having everyday, I suffer from really bad tendinitis in my hands and fibromyalgia, I do everything I can to feel better (plant based diet) and I’m still in pain everyday. I know sugar causes inflammation I juice and smoothie a lot, is natural sugar from fruits okay? Or it still causes inflammation even though it’s natural.

Are you sure it's the milks and not something you are consuming with them? There's also oat milk, cashew milk, hemp milk and flax milk.
A H I havnt tried those u mentioned👆🏻. Am not sure if the combination of milk with banana is problem.🤔I tired to use each milk over period time- gives me gas. if i make same like green smoothie w water am fine🤷🏼♀️
It could be certain fats with the sugar from the fruit.
