How durable and susceptible will the rims be after dipping them? does it last? Will it hold up to dirt weather and being washed? Easy to scuff and scrape?

i wonder what the longevity of paint on a wheel would be? i imagine the first drive through car wash would scrub the paint right off... or at least tear it up so much that it would be unsightly.
    am i wrong?
even if its not practical, its still pretty friggen awesome! nice job!

ITS (THE PRINTED FILM) NEEDS TO BE SPRAYED WITH A STABILIZER TO SUSPEND THE IMAGE IN AN OIL LIKE STATE SO IT DOES NOT DISPERSE BEFORE YOU DIP. IT IS EXTREMELY TIME SENSITIVE AND NO ONE CAN BE DANCING THE JIG IN THE ROOM PRIOR TO APPLICATION.

If you look at that rim you will see it has been dipped several times with different films just repainted and re dipped with a different film that wheel is for demonstration purposes so the valve stem makes no difference it is not going on anyone's vehicle.

  • @freakazoid9276

Can this be applied over a chrome finish? Neither powder coating nor vinyl wrapping works on chrome, so it's about time they figured out a way to change chrome rims without first removing the chrome.
