I tried to resurrect my old Lenovo G40-45 and got the same problem. 0% battery, plugged in but not charging. I followed this instruction, reset the BIOS, booted the laptop with the power cable plug-in, and inserted the battery while the Windows ran. now it's charging. Thank God I didn't need to put the battery into the freezer. 😅Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
...you video is great. I am not computer savvy at all but I needed to find out what is going on with my battery in my old computer. It showed 0 %,plugged in, charging but nothing happened. I almost thought that there is something wrong with my computer. Your detailed video helped a lot. Thank you.
Windows 10 has a safety feature to keep batteries from overcharging. They will not charge until they drop to 94%. Unplug your power cord. It is not good to keep it plugged in all the time.
Thanks for excellent content, I have same issue with my laptop, but have to wait approximately 2 weeks until new battery arrives, would you recommend using computer in this state until my order is delivered? , it is a critical for me because I use this computer for work.
I had this problem a few months back and it kinda resolved by itself after a while. it came back and I'm really not sure what to do. I previously had tried many things to fix it so i don't remember what actually did the trick. Any solutions?
I can use the pc fine, but it's just annoying to never know the percentage. Edit: it has shut down and it makes a consering buzzing when I plug it in edit 2: it's completely broke.
@@UltimateDIY Same for me. I took out the battery, booted to desktop, then put in the battery while it's on, and then Windows could see it and could now charge it again. Thanks!
Lenovo are good laptops, but the software is incredibly bloated with lots of stuff from Lenovo that slow them down. My wife's T440p for which she payed like 1000$ in 2014 gets blocked if you plug the charger while running, if you unplug it and plug it again then it works. Anyway what you show here is some kind of magic ... or does it have some actual logic in the actions? Sorry I commented too early. Is it possible to replace the cells? Or the electronics dies? PS Nice trying to revive it
Totally agree about the software. For thr battery, from my findings, once it gets below a certain level, even if the cells are replaced it will never work again. To revive it you need specialised tools for each battery type. So...for the end user...the only chance really is to replace the battery...
Bro i have a ideapad 120s-14iap but also same issue, "Plugged In, Charging" but it always 0% battery? What should i do? Bring my laptop to a technician to replace anything? Tell me i ll go to technician , tell me what it need to replace
My laptop show 0% available plugged in it remains on 0% after that it turns off I thought it's ac adapter problem but I tried my friends ac adapter too but still all same again it show 0% and then turns off after sometime is it battery problem
I updated my Lenovo thinkbook to windows 11 and ever since it’s showing this “0% remaining” and doesn’t charge even when plugged in. And is only on while plugged in.
What? Where did you get that from? Someone with computer repair knowledge shoult hands on take a look at the laptop. That is not the same thing as buying a new laptop. Also, we are waiting for your sollution to the problem.
Sir, mera laptop jab shutdown rehte hai tab bilkul sahi se charge hota hai. but jab power on karta hoon tab charge disconnect ho jata hai. iska kaya solution hai vai. please batana.
Did you ended up replacing your battery? I have the same issue but I'm quite scared to go see a tech behind my parents back since they bought me my laptop😭😭Mines is also an Acer windows 10
So.. this happened to me and I just assumed the battery was completely dead. It wouldn't charge, it would remain at 0% and most importantly, every time the power went out, my laptop would turn off because nothing would "keep it alive" without the charger. So, the battery IS dead. there would be an error every time I would turn the laptop on, saying the battery may need to be replaced... Today it charged. fully, at 100%, after about a week of it first dying because of the dead battery problem. I'm just weirded out right now, not even mad because I spent 80€ on a new battery replacement... well, I am kind of mad. (but still, if the battery was having problems I'll be happy to replace it) Did anyone have the same experience?
Hope it's not a peoblem with the charging circutry in the laptop. Normally a laptop battery doesn't revive itself. But that being said, computers are weird sometimes. Hope all is well with the laptop and also battery.
@@UltimateDIY Oh well yeah it could be, I can't really check right now but I'll still give it some cleaning and replace the battery as it might be damaged either way. Have a good day
Guys it could literally just be a problem with your charger by the way. That was the case for me. Check that first. If your adaptor's blinking, then it's the charger.
