- I replaced the cracked and stained vanity top in my bathroom with a new solid surface vanity countertop! These counters are repairable, absolutely beautiful, and easy to install. Shop for yours here: www.solidsurfa... Mine is the color Genova and has a Corian integral undermount sink.
You can find the faucet I purchased here: amzn.to/3FVvVtW (affiliate link)
Thank you so much for sharing this! I had a plumber come for this exact situation and he said it’d be 2000$! I asked him too leave my house lol
I super appreciate how you took the time too explain exactly what and why, your doing. Because of this great advice and tutorial of yours , I now feel completely confident on doing this entire job on my own !
I have a feeling his quote was ridiculous but also imagine all other companies quote would be surprisingly high. I know things are expensive these days for everything but when I called
I was thinking it’d be much less
I don’t mean to insult anyone from, I can appreciate thee company’s expenses etc are very high
I just personally was shocked.
So anyways back too you , thank you so much! You’ve saved me a ton of money and now do this myself:
I love how gratifying it is to look at a project that you’ve never done and completed successfully,
I’ll definitely subscribe and look forward too your awesome advice 🎉🎉
Quick tip. Do the faucet first. Then the drain. That way you don't have to work around the drain.
Yes I should've!
Hey Melissa, thanks for video. I liked the cheat by using the different size strips of wood to level the sink! Very useful tip!
Wow, your bathroom is really coming together. The vanity is beautiful. Nice job on the install!
I put a 3 piece in my kitchen with a soap hand pump. My friends call me bougie now. lol Looks amazing. Good job! :)
😅
Wow, that looks so nice. Can't wait to go to their website and see what the customization option does.
Hi Melissa,
Great job with the installation thanks for sharing.
That level is literally the perfect size for that vanity😄
Great tip with the baby wipes. Ive always got 12 paper towels covered in caulk and sticking to my hands
Perfect! Been looking for a place to buy custom size countertop.
I'm digging on the recessed shelf on the side. Hope you can make a video on that.
You are amazing Melissa !!! You are a pro !!!!! .....BTW....you're hair looks lovely !!!!
Excellent work 👍 🙏
Great job Melissa.
Melisa "Hey I need some help with this please." Husband: WHAT ? you need MY help?
aaaand yet another use for baby wipes!
awesome thanks so much for the video im going to change my vanity top
Excellent video!
Very nice Melissa good job.😍😍
Love this.
BTW,, you have an "S" trap which is against code. Not a big deal, but if you have problems, you can just install an auto-vent there (inexpensive) to use in place of a vent-through the -roof
Nice job Melissa. 👍 I wonder why you didn't make a new cabinet anyway. It would seem just the project for you.
Well, I planned to patch and repair the countertop when I initially redid the vanity. But after all that work I realized the vanity was a material I couldn't repair so I had to get new. If I had known that from the get go I would've just ripped it all out and did new.
So helpful!
did you install those shark bite shut-off valves under the sink as well? Just asking because that's the first time I've seen shark bite shutoffs under a sink, lol
Great job as usual Melissa. Not just the installation but also the way you pl;an the video - a lot of info nicely presented One quick question - what controls the stopper?
It just pushes up and down, it's like spring loaded.
Great vid
Thanks
Looks fantastic. How do think the custom countertop compares price wise and for quality as compared to big box offerings?
Good video.
I am looking at doing the same and the color you selected is what I want. What is the name of it?
I looked into ordering one after watching this because I have an old vanity with non-standard depth, but the freight delivery info made it seem like a huge hassle. You have to unload it yourself with no lift?
you should always put faucets and drain on before you drop in the countertop... soooo much easier then reaching all up in the back hookin up faucet.... awesome seeing you do the things you do... smart girl... and very beautiful...
Nice job .... was it expensive?
No entiendo inglés. Pero se entiende muy bien. Ella, siempre que puede, "en patas" XD
How did you get the vanity wood that color? Did you sand and ?? By the way, love your channel!
Thank you! 🥰 Here's a video showing you how: ua-cam.com/video/8ByufbKiQVQ/v-deo.html
Why spend over $700 for the vanity top and not replace the entire vanity? Seems standard available sizing of a new vanity (including top) would be much cheaper, last longer and give better access in and around.
for a 55"x22" it's going to be expensive. it would be 2K for the vanity & decent sink+faucet for my size.
Is this electric receptacle behind the sink GFCI?
Yep, perhaps it was hard for you see the test and reset buttons on the video?
💪👍
