Stress? There is No Stress (says Warren Rustand)

  • One of my mentors, Warren Rustand has a long running debate with many of us. He says "show me stress... there is no stress". His view: when you are clear on your purpose, your priorities, who and what is important... there is no doubt about what action to take. Where you are not clear about your values, there is confusion. It is this confusion that we believe is stress...

ABSOLUTELY. You read my mind. As a kid, i kept asking my parents, "what do you mean by stress?" and they used to say "you'll understand when you get older". I'm 38, i have long days i get angry and tired for my startup, but still i don't understand. if i'm 'stressed' (still don't get the meaning), it is for a reason, and very, very often it's just me being disorganised and unfocused.
    Stress doesn't exist.

By contrast, ambiguity causes stress in almost everyone and meaningless in everything. Thus, clarity of purpose on a daily basis is a vehicle of gradual progression along with being a savior from all negatives/unnecessary thoughts.

Knowing the priorities & being present in the body are really powerful & can easily defeat stress whenever exists.
Stress can cause the spirit not being fully in the body which weakens our abilities & closes our energy channels.
Thank you Conor for sharing your awesome videos 🌺🔆

I've always loved this topic...ever since Wayne Dyer(now gone) mentioned it in one of his teachings: "If stress is real, put it in a bucket and show it to me."

Yes, in fact there is no stress if we really look into the task and how we address those concerns by taking actions step by step and constantly making decisions. Problems with all of us is that we keep thinking of pending work mentally even we are not at actual place where the work is to be done, hence burdening the mind with full of thoughts on pending work and unable to concentrate on current assignments in hand. Thank you Conor sir for this wonderful insight on " there is no stress".
I am currently reading the book you have recommended ' The four agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz, must read book. Sincerely,

Look in the mirror and ask who are you. The first answer you give they'll be anxiety in your belly. The last answer you give yourself you'll feel a calm inside.

I do not agree. There is stress in some circumstances. The body reacts to traumatic events from an accident or war.
Rustand is therefore only partially right. It is about how to deal with a situation or how to organize the own life. But some events are so traumatic that these cause stress. So, I would not say „there is no stress“, but would say „how to overcome stress“.
Keeping eye contact is not always a good thing. It can be distracting and even stressful for people with autism.
