Cleaning up right after a meal is super important... there's been so many times where I will be cleaning & a housemate will say "Oh! I was going to clean that up later". Like when? After binge watching Netflix for hours on end? Other people want to use the kitchen too.
Me too all my roommates I had where crazy cunt and never do their clean up, I have been doing it for the last 8 years a pure hell and most of them are annoying as fuk lol 😂

Leave it as you found it. If you can, leave it better than you found it. Most housemates I've had that don't clean up after themselves have turned out to be lousy people.

Living alone means more monehhhhh you gotta spend.
It's not fair when one person in the household ends up having to do all the washing up and housework, what if the other tentants just ignore you when you ask them to contribute? What if they play music at 2 am and if you ask them not too they swear at you or just ignore you! As they don't care you have work in the morning! People in shared households can make life a nightmare for each other such as taking others possessions and then denying it or borrowing money and not paying back! Another thing is common to borrow phones and use others credit and borrows others phone chargers and not return them! There is a site I seen called housemates from hell! Living in a shared house having your own room and that is economical sense if only people showned common decency and mutual respect but certainly in the uk that is really very much lacking in people! A shared house + ignorant rude mean horrible people = nightmare!

It’s like taking care of a dog, don’t spoil them. Roomates are basically the same as a dog pack, you can be the alpha but it’s really only alpha in name as they don’t like to obey you. What I like to do is when my roomate (he’s the type to being girls in for sex at 2am) takes more than 2 days to wash his dishes is to interrupt his sex at 2am to make him. Usually he is really pissed and doesn’t do it that night but when he thinks he’s gonna bring a girl in he’s gonna make sure the room is clean to not embarrass himself. He likes to beg me to do it and if he does I simply walk out and ignore him and if he tries to fight me I use krav maga to take him down fast. I would say I do a pretty good job taking care of him as the alpha of the house.

you move out. you get a house in your name as the head tenant and then you find housemates of your choosing. if they arent tidy and courteous you give them 3 strikes then kick them out. simple so many dicks in this world dont seem to have their life in order enough to pay rent on time and clean up after themselves
Nothing feels better than long day of work, training, then coming back home to find your saucepans used by and not cleaned by the selfish roommate. They also love storing all my cutlery in their room! Lmao ever time I say something they deny it but soon after the confrontation all the dirty cutlery miraculously appears next to the sink. They also try to tag along my very social roommate because they have nothing going on, what a wanker
so ive kicked out both my housemates as the head tenant; im a nice social guy thats responsible and clean. i ask my housemates to be friendly to my dog, to clean up and put away dishes after use and put things back where they found them anything they break they replace with something similar from the Opshop, and any mess they make in shared areas they clean up. their room is their own to do whatever they want with. they have to pay the rent on time and all bills are inclusive eliminating the split bills issue in sharehouses... its a nightmare trying to find adults that are mature, pay the rent on time and clean up after themselves! had to ask the two girls living with me to move out; after putting clear house rules up; when they continued to not pay the rent on time and repeatedly not clean up after themselves... the bitchiness i got from them teaming up on me like school kids was shocking... im beginning to think guys may be tidier than girls...

My method: Embarrass him when he brings girls over with the mess he makes and tell her about how lazy and shit at cooking he is. Usually turns her off. I also interrupt his sex and if he goes to the girls place I lock the room and the window and trap him (I think it’s illegal but technically it is my apartment room.) If it’s a girl then idk never had a female roomate
I'm watching this right at 1:10am while listening to the washing machine whooshing in the background (because my room is near the kitchen where the washing machine happens to be situated at, lucky me I know) bc my housemate thought it would be a great idea to wash some clothes right now luv that for me

You need to address your government because there should be no one having to deal with roommates. Back in the day... single people used to be able to afford living alone. So there's that. And stop having kids! We don't need larger populations because those kids will be in a worse living situation by the time they grow up. Your home should be your sanctuary. Roommates don't ever work.

The only thing I can't stand is noise and sharing goods (food, cleaning chemicals). Other than that I'm fine
Almost everyone i ever lived with likes to blast their t.v. and end has speakers on them 24/7 from the time they wake up to the time they go to sleep. Also i hate when they clean with Clorox and ammonia in the middle of the night it just drive's me nuts and also when they take food with out permission and never replace it.
Or when they decide to cook at 3am and are slamming drawers and have the tv on full blast
The only roommate I cannot stand always leaves his belongings lying about in the sitting room (I mean his work shoes, coats, backpacks, wet laundry on the couch) and damages my things as well as use my food. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ Remaining calm tho *as I proceed to move all of his things in a black bin bag and place it at reception for him to find*
It sucks trying to sleep esp with their room next door and they make so many noises at night even during the day they make so much noise I have to drown it out with my laptop playing loud videos on youtube I can never get any studying done it pisses me off. Even with ear plugs they are still loud as f

I have a housemate who's a chronic complainer, it drives me up the wall, and there's something disingenuous and superficial about him
I have two roommates one is selfish and inconsiderate, they blast their radio, they slam cabinets and the microwave, they keep the door in the middle of winter ,the other roommate is wishy washy they are constantly breaking promises, they constantly criticize they way I clean ,but they are hardly here ,the lazy roommate leaves dirty dishes uses up all the toilet paper and paper towel I am constantly cleaning up behind them .they don't help put away the Groceries yet they constantly eat . They talk non stop, if ask the lazy roommate to help clean they claim that they don't know how to clean, or they say that there back hurts or they say it's too cold to clean well I have back problems but I still do my best to clean like I said the wishy-washy roommate complains about the way I clean .
This is no help if you're leaving with people and you're not the one in charge of things. My housemates are noisy as fuck, one of them especially. So I can't exactly tell them to leave, I don't own the place, I'm not the one who deals with the landlord and sadly I can't move out as I have no other options.

I dont like the same person only do the cleaning. After cleaning others dont appreciate it by messing it again but dont want to clean it after. .... Second. Noisy. If you respect others by not make noise when other people sleeping or rest time the other parties should do the same. If u dont like they do bad to u...so u dont do it too.
Respect other people space and privacy. I am so mad right now dunno what to do so im searching for tips in here. Because they do not understand me. Cannot be trust people nowadays. Plus. I dont like housemate like to spreading rumors and gossiping. Very toxic. Thats y i want to resign so that i can go back hometown to live there again. Because work environment is suck and home place also suck. They all suck.
i had one in my house.. i have two words for him, fuck him
1.not cleaning after meal
2.make noise at 1am
3.make the house like his house
It's so nice to have your own place. Everyone has their good and bad points, they don't clean the bathroom or take out the garbage when it's their turn, etc. You get the picture.

I just hate living with people and feeling judged for not leaving the room for a couple days because I WANT TO HAVE MY ALONE TIME away from people. Or if I don’t get to cooking some meat I had in the fridge and it gets old and I get a judgement for being wasteful and that I should be more mindful. Don’t you think I’ve thought about that on my own? And then if you get mad at me for putting your steak knifes in the dishwasher and claiming that you informed me you didn’t want them in there when I don’t recall that information. I just am really starting to hate dealing with peoples shit. I want my own place where I can be in charge of my own shit and not have to deal with other people’s input, opinions or stupid complaints
My housemate threw her clothes in while i was doing more than one load of laundry then complained that her pants got bleached... well if you hadn't jumped in on the washer and waited for me to do ONE MORE load, your pants would still be one color

Whenever I cook as I go ,so in most cases I only the dinner dishes like the plates ,the cups and forks and knifes to wash
My biggest tip is pick your battles. If someone left a food wrapper out throw it in the bin. You will need a serious conversation at some point also

No worries, none of these work… because I knew my housemates is one of the people who can from Country with streets full of shit. Always trash the kitchen and not cleaning out (or clean used stuff properly). I started to put my pots and rice cooker cord in my room by then to stop then for using my stuff 😂😂

My roommate talks on the phone sitting in the room when I clearly said it before that we will talk outside of the room..... Damn it. Is it that hard to do?? While I go to the outside when she never does that so I thought she might consider if I'm doing this. But she's just so irritating. I don't want to hear what she's talking and her bullshit ..
