Thanks for featuring my map! Haven't been into DK2 for a while, so I only saw this now. Really enjoyed your commenting on it. I've added a link to this video to the Steam Workshop page. Also, the see through wall bug has been fixed ;-)
I also have some other maps - all available on the worshop: Balcony Barrage: two separate, unconnected apartements to be cleared simultaneously. Pretty intense. Not 100% sure if it'd be your style. Storefront: direct action hostage rescue in the back-area behind a shop. I think you'll like this setting, based on what you said in this video. Roof insertion: roof top fight to clear the area of hostiles. Also not 100% sure if this is what you like, but feel free to check it out.
I absolutely must recommend these custom maps; - Sicario Parts 1 through 4 (based on the movie) - the levels from the first Ghost Recon game (such as Gold Mountain) - any recreation of the Food Wall restaurant from SWAT 4 Those maps are fucking amazing. But I wouldn't complain if one of mine was featured 😂
Maaaan there was this Gunny of mine chasing a kid down an alley one time, AT4 strapped across his back, most Rambo moment of the deployment until he fell on his face. Irl at4s are annoying AF right up until you need one.
My dude, the things you've taught me have stuck in my brain like super glue. I hear your voice in my head in games and IRL. I hope you know that what you offer is extremely valuable and the way you offer it is unique. I've been a fan for a while and I always will be.
Using the car details to guess the occupants of the building was really cool. You figured 15 based on the evidence and there were 13 + the HVI and Civilian so 15. Damn that was good.
This one is worth replaying, too, there's some interesting random elements (whether the car is in the garage or not, guard placement, whether curtains are open or closed). I got lucky while trying to do a lone wolf run and the HVT was in the garage with nobody watching him, walked in and out without firing a shot.
Now this looks like a map where the .338 LWMMG is a great option. Stop anyone from getting to the car on the street, stop cars from leaving, stop time itself with the power of overmatch....
I think there should be a feature where you can’t see the internal structure of the buildings without entering or looking through a window. It’d be more realistic.
As far as realism is concerned, if a team was going to raid a building like this, they would try to get as much intelligence on the interior of the building as possible. They will try to get up-to-date floor plans of the building, maybe get in touch with whoever built the house. The only thing they wouldn’t know is where furniture is. As far as knowing where the walls and doors are? This is accurate.
@@ryanbrown172 not always. Sometimes you just have to use an educated guess. The key thing is, the guys doing this stuff are trained to the point where not knowing the layout wouldn’t slow them down at all. Breaching and clearing a house is so methodical that it’s kind of the same drill for every type of room.
I made a 20 man urban assault to objective with some clues to the story, substantial defence in depth from primary, alternate, supplementary, subsequent and strongpoint battle positions. You're going to need to manage your resources and intelligently position your fireteam throughout the entire battle to pull it off.
I think you could see through the breach wall because the mapmaker didn't completely close the wall when building. I have been meaning to start designing some Doorkickers Maps, but I haven't gotten deep into it yet. However, I have encounters several maps were you can see through gaps in various maps and it leads to weird interactions. Still, fun map, and loved the video!
Prior to watching these videos for DK2, I assess situation, listen to CP's assessment, and develop my own PIR (Critical RFI). Having secondary analysis as to a plan gives boots in the field awareness (and options). In my own assessment, silenced weapons kit is appropriate with a dynamic tempo. Let's roll CP's tape and see if non-silent approach with dynamic tempo is effective... Post Action: Satisfactory outcome
I have a map called "Knock at the Door" that has you breaching a compound, 2 structures, and a little feature I finally made that allows you to cancel the call for QRF if you get spotted *if you are quick enough or take preemptive measures*
I have a couple of maps but the one I recommend is called Hidden Ways. It is a mansion with a HVT. Silent will be heavily used to take him out without releasing the alarm. Smarter than usual is very hard too.
You are able to see through wall in the garage becaue the map artist did not connect the wall properly (very hard to notice) so it makes the line of sight very funky.
I know im saying this 2 weeks after this was uploaded but I lost you for a while, but I found you again, can’t wait to start watching your content again, good vid btw
Been slowly getting into strategy/tactical milsim sorta games lately and imma buy Door Kickers 2 this weekend, so i'm binge-watching videos on it everyday and i've learned so much already haha thanks for the content!
DrSqua's ARC campaign is really good as are most of the maps done by CEO of the Internet and a couple of others. I don't remember who did the map series "Götterdämmerung" in particular "Moneyman" is a great challenging kidnapping mission.
Hey I have 20-25 years experience in vidya gamin' and I am delighted to see such an in depth aspect of pieing them corners and naming tactics'n what not! :) just subbed and looking forwards to more grounding videos! All the very best m9. Thoroughly enjoyed your examples and explanations! lool deserving of 3 nay! 5 whole exclamation marks!
In lieu of the AT4 we always took SMAW-D (HEPD). Instead of punching a hole through a wall and spalling instantly it would clear a whole room (or floor) if need be.
Hey my map series is actually called S.O.D Direct Action. It's pretty challenging but I leave the player enough room when it comes to the number of operators ( 6 minimum ). Dunno, you could dig it.
Operation Brimstone is a fun one to try. Very unforgiving when you get sloppy and in a hurry, do it properly and you will probably survive. Several absolutely awful intersections to deal with.
This is a weird location to ask, CP, but I'm gonna go for it. Predator problems around our farm have escalated. It's time to invest. Is gen 3 worth the up charge vs. gen 2+? I have a feeling you've spent a little time working in the dark, and I truly trust your judgement.
Yes, always buy gen3. Gen3 beats gen2 by a land slide and you can get a used pvs14 green phosphor mono for a couple grand or get a new gen3 pvs14 white phospher for about 4k. Or if you wanna make the jump, Duel Tube wp gen3 is really the way to go. Rnvgs are probably the most practical bino setup for civvies (slightly less cost than articulating binos like DTNVG/DTNVS/31s/1531s/etc and extremely durable). You can also run a battery pack with RNVGs without having to buy any aftermarket accessories like I had to to run a pack with my DTNVGs.
If you are looking for a somwhat larger and frankly quite difficult CQB-mission, you might want to take a look at one of my maps called "Office Dilemma". There you need to intervene in a long-lasting hostage situation taking place in an office building, which the terrorists are and have been fortifying for the past 36 hours. And as there have been explosions heard inside previously the deadline about to run out as well as growing fires surely aren't a good sign. Map Name: Office Dilemma Mission: Hostage Rescue Squad: 8 Rangers Difficulty: Hard
So I have been watching a lot of these. It might not be a poplar opinion but what if u did a what not to do like a total cluster fudge. Straight up fubar. Idk it would show what happens if you don't do it right. Just saying keep up the great work.
Pairs says that enemy can rip the drapes off windows. Is that in the game? Or is this just Pairs Doing his irl to video game analysis? Speaking of which if it’s not in the game it should. I casually put my ops next to windows all the time and kinda want to get punished for it.

Nothing says surrender like a HEAT round ripping through a window and turning a dining room wall into a hole big enough to fit a Abrams

Rangers have brought rockets to gunfights for a long time. LAWs were known as "the Rangers' key" during Operation Just Cause in Panama.
Rockets lead the way.
I remember when a man went down and they started “chucking frags” in Haditha. Have to be careful with that type of thing.
