I'm looking forward to it, as you say not the prettiest but it's what's on the inside that counts more than looks, I've got 14 days to change my mind if I don't like it, but I have a feeling I will love the camera. I don't do a lot of videoing so that side doesn't bother me really. I've spoken to so many people who have the 3XL who are pleased with it, so yes I'm excited for the 4XL. I have a 2xl and I absolutely love it. I was considering the 3xl recently but I'm not a fan of the notch. I heard of the 4 rumors and decided to wait a bit longer. My phone works amazing, like I said I love it. But I have big monkey brain that wants knew things. However, the lack of finger print scanner is turning me away, hopefully they bring it back in the next sub model or something because its my favorite part of the 2xl
Definition of Irony: being an up to the bones fan of Apple from the early days and being let down and dissapointed by them and not getting a single sim ejector tool from them, but receiving a real cool package from google who s name is almost not mentioned on the channel. I believe it hurts

I actually prefer the the absence of wide angle lens cause you can buy a much better wide angle lens from moment and they perfected the main camera to resolve more details when doing so.
As a Pixel 2 user, I really like this new Pixel a lot. I'm a bit sad about a few things like the curve at top edges of the display. But apart from that I actually think the phone is gorgeous and unique looking. The missing wide angle lens and 30 fps 4K aren't really a deal breakers for me. At least we having major new features like 90Hz display, much improved AI and Soli technology that makes it a worthy upgrade over Pixel 3 unlike iPhone that only improved it's Camera.

It’s the cheapest top tier from intro to market flagship I have seen. The minor hold backs like FPS don’t really matter in real world use. I might actually switch from iPhone. I’m on the fence about it though. Definitely will get the all black if I do switch.
I'm a Note 10+ user, who's very impressed with iPhone 11pro, and believe me when I say this, frames do matter. Both phones do 4k60, and you have to see it yourself to realise it. Once you go 60, there's no going back to 30. Its looks ridiculous, super stuttery, and just bland at 30. Pixel with sd855 doing 1080p30 and 4k30 is just outright nonsensical.
I'm guessing next year we keep 1 camera in the front. Then we get two cameras on the back, 1 wide-angle that can software adjust to be a standard focal length, and a second telephoto for the Super-Duper Hi-Res Zoom™️. They keep soli. Forehead gets smaller.
I have a Pixel 2XL and had Pixel XL. When the three came out I was so disappointed with notches and chins I said no, I'll wait for 4. My 2 has been fine, but to see the Pixel 4 screen aspect ratio go backwards and not forwards is sad. At least my 2XL has front facing speakers and symmetry.
IMO They could do with getting some designers to help them on their phones. At least the iphones notch is well proportioned. A big forehead rather than a notch doesn't look balanced. IMO they would be better to balance it with a button at the bottom for touch ID, but that is going back to the past. Why not just have a camera that slides up when it is needed?
It’s a good phone. The motion sensors are not gimmicky. It’s a great idea. I think they will come in handy when google implements them better. And when they come out with more products using motion sense. It would be a huge factor

TBH I have a wife angle moment lens and I never use it for picrures, it's only beneficial for more flexibility making videos. Having it on the front makes more sense since your arm length limits how far away you can hold the camera

Google is being responsible by not promising unlimited uncompressed cloud photo storage to potentially millions of users. Cloud storage comes with an environmental cost, and if you care that much about photo quality, you should have to pay for it.
Agreed! Not only that, but other carriers don't even offer anything remotely close. FREE automatic high quality storage is more than any other phone offers. Plus we can all agree 95% of people taking pictures with their phone don't have a legitimate reason for full resolution. If you really want full resolution because you're an actual photographer, youre already paying for storage anyway through Dropbox, standalone drives, etc. I take pictures all the time and if I truly care that much about a particular full resolution picture I'll save it offline anyway.

Your top cam is at a weird angle. It looks to be facing to far down or back if you're looking at it from the top. Its not the most pleasant thing to watch. Otherwise nice vid.

Thing I don't get about people who are into tech. Photos are not original quality, which may be the breaking point for me. Everyone is freaking out over the wide angle when I now have to go back to the olden days of deleting photos. Huge disappointment

Your argument for the ultra wide angle camera is nonsense. Apparently you don't understand the purpose of a tele camera. A tele camera doesn't just have the purpose to give you a smaller field of view, the main purpose is more detail and less noise from distant objects, so you totally missed the point. A crop will give you 0% more details and 0% less noise from distant objects. Can you achieve an ultra wide field of view with a tele camera? Yes, you just need to take multiple photos. So it's actually the opposite. You can get an ultra wide field of view with a tele camera (in this case you could theoretically even get much more detail than an ultra wide angle camera), but you can't get tele details with an ultra wide angle camera.
By the way, the main camera is already a wide angle camera. You can even use the ultra wide selfie camera as a rear camera.
Furthermore smartphones have tele cameras since the iPhone 7 Plus. So actually a phone without a tele camera is so 2016..

TBH I have a wife angle moment lens and I never use it for picrures, it's only beneficial for more flexibility making videos. Having it on the front makes more sense since your arm length limits how far away you can hold the camera

Google is being responsible by not promising unlimited uncompressed cloud photo storage to potentially millions of users. Cloud storage comes with an environmental cost, and if you care that much about photo quality, you should have to pay for it.
Agreed! Not only that, but other carriers don't even offer anything remotely close. FREE automatic high quality storage is more than any other phone offers. Plus we can all agree 95% of people taking pictures with their phone don't have a legitimate reason for full resolution. If you really want full resolution because you're an actual photographer, youre already paying for storage anyway through Dropbox, standalone drives, etc.
I take pictures all the time and if I truly care that much about a particular full resolution picture I'll save it offline anyway.

Your top cam is at a weird angle. It looks to be facing to far down or back if you're looking at it from the top. Its not the most pleasant thing to watch. Otherwise nice vid.

If they could collab with OnePlus, they could make the perfect android phone. If that ever happens, I'm sure it would cost around 2000 USD, but it would still be worth it. Better than the Galaxy Fold.
Yeah good video but I wonder why manufactures keep fixing things that are broken like the fingerprint scanner on the back was fine and how having a bigger battery would be great but we get a smaller battery on the pixel 4

I don't know how he finds the Pixel 4 face unlock faster than OnePlus 7T. Literally my 3T had faster face unlocking than what I saw in this video.

Thing I don't get about people who are into tech. And now I guess it's a sin to have a bezel and no wide angle. This phone is built for it's software and their amazing camera's.

Photos are not original quality, which may be the breaking point for me. Everyone is freaking out over the wide angle when I now have to go back to the olden days of deleting photos. Huge disappointment

In actuality the camera patent design was gained by Google for the Pixel 4 before the Apples design patent. And it looks better aesthetically.
