Kudos to Google for giving these phones with high PPI. The tech community don't talk much about it, but people do sense how good a screen is, at the first hand on. Subliminally, it is one of the major factor why people choose a phone based on their initial encounter. But nobody is talking about it of course.
Nice vid but I actually waited for more details on the sensors that make the phone looks so unattractive throughout the whole video. 🤔 Look forward to your full review soon.

i like how when ur testing the contrast, u say " i cant wait to test this out properly" . broski, u are testing it out properly. ur doing nothing wrong trust me. it is what it is, and i doubt there will be a "software update" to contrast the actual physical components in a phone.
The shining software that helps users to deal with limited storage is not Google drive but Google photos. Pixel users can upload unlimited videos and images to Photos app with original quality in 3 years. Unless you're a heavy mobile gamer, 64g is actually enough based on my storage usage on my pixel 2 xl.
I'm looking for a privacy phone that is de-Googled, but I forget after having been spoiled by LG, just how crappy the headphone and audio is on this thing. I don't even know how you use headphones with a phone like this. If I didn't want a privacy phone it would be all LG. They stuck in several Waze, but when it comes to headphones and audio that's not where they're lacking.
Ok what the HELL yall... who gives a crap about the forehead it’s packing a literal radar chip and Face ID technology. The screen is really good and has 90hz. The cameras are the best in the game (which is personal opinion, not everyone will think the same). So what’ the base model is 64 gb? Google still has unlimited photo and video storage if you really use more than that oh well don’t but this phone. All y’all coming to bash this phone in the comments, if you don’t like it don’t buy it and move the hell on. Some people will like this phone and some one so just shush. This is googles 4th try at a phone so ease off a bit. Just stop bashing a phone because you don’t like certain aspects of it jeez. And all of this is coming from an apple user.
To be honest the front is underwhelming. Too much bezel for 2019. Not sure about face unlocking. Yet to be sold on that. Let’s see your review so we can compare it to the Oneplus 7T or IPhone 11.
imo I don't mind the forehead especially with all the tech in it but I'm sorely dissapointed that they didn't at least put an in display fingerprint sensor on the phone. I currently use a Pixel 2XL and I'm looking to upgrade here soon and the benefit of wireless charging is good but the lack of a rear fingerprint sensor is awful. How is it "in the past" to use a fingerprint sensor? Face unlock is "cool" but I swear this just seems like an iPhone with a google logo slapped onto it. I'm really dissapointed with how Google is just following trends and trying to play it safe rather than set a trend. Do something unique that doesn't make me have to feel the need to look at getting another phone and just loading a pixel like launcher onto it. I want to want the Pixel 4 or 4XL but at the price point of $800US for the Pixel 4 64GB, I don't know if I can do it. I might just keep my Pixel 2XL and wait for the next Samsung line to come out and grab one of those.
The back looks alright, they did the square camera bump but at least it is symmetrical inside, and darkened instead of whatever tf iphones are doing. The front is definitely better than 3 xl by a long shot, and it has no curved glass which is a big plus, but it just isn't a late 2019 look. If I am being honest, s8 looked better and also had an iris scanner. This look straight like a worse s8.
I'm happy to say in my neck of the woods , it is a tad cheaper than last year's model , But then again last year's model was over priced to hell for a fairly basic model. So it is good to see Google wising up a bit , they might actually sell some handsets this year.
@@robo9439 Many of my apps keep crashing and my camera works in some apps but not in others. I tried a factory reset and it didn't work. In fact it's been getting worse.

So the new Pixel 4 is not even using the snapdragon 855+, no rear ultra wide lens, max storage is 128 gb (with no sd card expansion) while the iPhones and most other phones have 256 and 512 gb options, oddly enough the iPhone has bigger screen to body ratio and bigger screen sizes, no included heaphones, and the “limited” orange color option is capped at 64 gb What’s more: The Pixel 4 at basically the same screen size as the iPhone 11 pro has a smaller battery, 2,800 mah compared to 3,046 on the iPhone 11 pro and 3,110 mah on the $700 iPhone 11. The bigger Pixel 4 xl also has a smaller battery than the pro max, 3,700 compared to 3,969 mah on the pro max good job Google. Hope your new smartphones fail miserably
I love every single thing about the phone except 2. Between Brightness and Battery, I can't use this phone. The Software is amazing, but it doesn't do anything when the phone is so dim that I can't take pictures outside and then it dies after taking 2 hours of video. I can't trust Pixel anymore. It's ashame because I usually love Google products, just super disappointed by the hardware of this phone. I switched to LG V60 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus and I've never been happier. The Software really isn't all that much better on Pixel, especially not to the point where its worth all the negative hits on the phone. I keep the 4xl in my backpack as a backup phone and Camera if need be, otherwise, I only used it for a few months until I switched.

Hey man nice quick little look...I got a pixel 3a couple months ago and I really like it then I thought maybe I’ll get the Pixel 4 when it came out but the battery seems really small .
The xl battery is not bad, but the smaller phone battery is to small.
@@robo9439 yep... 2800 on the Pixel 4 seems too small when my Pixel 3a has 3000.
This phone can’t be compared to Note 10 or iPhone 11 Pro. This is way behind.
can't even compare to the iPhone 11.
Doesn't look all that great but we all should at least wait til it's out for purchase and maybe go to stores to experience it in person b4 passing judgement.
Does it unlock without picking it up?
i like how when ur testing the contrast, u say " i cant wait to test this out properly" . broski, u are testing it out properly. ur doing nothing wrong trust me. it is what it is, and i doubt there will be a "software update" to contrast the actual physical components in a phone.
How did you get this phone early? By the way the phone looks great (from its predecessor)👍
They are all ugly
Even my pixel 3 had earphones in the box
Me too 😁
The shining software that helps users to deal with limited storage is not Google drive but Google photos. Pixel users can upload unlimited videos and images to Photos app with original quality in 3 years. Unless you're a heavy mobile gamer, 64g is actually enough based on my storage usage on my pixel 2 xl.
How can it be sold out if it hasn’t been out just till last Tuesday and right after that everyone could preorder? Can you please explain
Right? I think they do this un purpose, to give people the impression that the phone is in high demand 😂
For Google time stood still... Looks so old and outdated.
Cheers buddy, my Orange 4XL arrives next Thursday, looking forward to it! ☺️
Which one looks better. The white or the orange?
I have a Pixel 3a XL rn and am currently waiting on my 4 XL pre-order to get here!! and also @ 5:35 holy shit that google assistant is fast FINALLY
My ultimate dream phone! I can only dream though... 😭
Must come with Duel sim cards & headphones jack in future products
Don't judge till you use it hands down one of the best phones of 2019 left s10+ for 4xl and very glad I did battery life is good and I'm a heavy user
When you get a chance, please do a camera comparison video again the Huawei p30 :)
hmmm, bit sad that the fingerprint unlock is gone :( feel like it's better then the face unlock stuff
Why would they give the limited edition device only 64 GB?
lmao google phones being designed by a 90 year old man i swear
Can you please tell me why google doesn’t have the new pixel 4xl 128 gigs on orange? Because I have look everywhere online and no luck
They have it, but is currently sold out.
3:45 So gone is the lifetime unlimited free cloud storage at original quality as with previous Pixel phones?
How did you get your Instagram dark theme ?
It has system dark mode
The removal of the Free Original quality storage is a strong incentive for me to wait until 2022 when mine ends before I upgrade phones again
To be honest the front is underwhelming. Too much bezel for 2019. Not sure about face unlocking. Yet to be sold on that. Let’s see your review so we can compare it to the Oneplus 7T or IPhone 11.
Very glad there's no notch. The main things I'm disappointed in is no fingerprint sensor and the battery size.
lack of ultra wide camera is a deal breaker 😔
The no ultra wide and small battery made me disappointed. I’d go with Pro Max this time.
Why do you say there no 128gb Orange model, chap? Google sells it on their website. 🙂
64GB for $800? LOL
You can get 256gb SD card for like 40 bucks.. just buy one and extend it y'all need to relax.
Except there's no SD slot... 🤦♂️ next time pay attention instead of relaxing!
@@daSoup There has NEVER EVER been a Pixel with a SD card slot bro .... Do your homework !
@@daSoup do your research before talking crap. The pixel 4 does not have a sd card slot. Pixel devices never had a sd card slot.
Nice effort from Google but lack of ultra wide camera is a deal breaker. Really disappointed. I don't think Samsung and Apple will be worried at all.
TomUK7 Same thing for video, since Samsung and Apple’s phones have 4K front cameras and can do 4K 60 recording.
Isn't Samsung's night photos and videos kind of disappointing?
imo I don't mind the forehead especially with all the tech in it but I'm sorely dissapointed that they didn't at least put an in display fingerprint sensor on the phone.
Given that both the iPhone and Pixel bear the same-looking camera module...I'd like to upgrade my XR and 3A respectively. =)
64 gb ?!? Are they taking the piss ????
Mine is ordered. But I went with the Black. Like the color.
Cool. Xl or the smaller one?
How much the price ??
Mr.shankl starts at $800/900 for pixel 4 & 4 xl, $100 more for 128gb
@@pmwaffle9348 to much for me lol i can't buy it :(
I'm happy to say in my neck of the woods , it is a tad cheaper than last year's model ,
But then again last year's model was over priced to hell for a fairly basic model.
So it is good to see Google wising up a bit , they might actually sell some handsets this year.
I'm sitting here wondering if my HTC U11 will survive another year. . . 🤔
Mine still works great!
@@robo9439 Many of my apps keep crashing and my camera works in some apps but not in others. I tried a factory reset and it didn't work. In fact it's been getting worse.
@@kittykatkate088 weird. Mine doesn't have any of those issues. I wonder if something went bad on your hardware. I have the Sprint version.
They upped the price and lowered the storage along with some other features. It's just a means to get you to buy into cloud storage and a justification for them to be stingy
So the new Pixel 4 is not even using the snapdragon 855+, no rear ultra wide lens, max storage is 128 gb (with no sd card expansion) while the iPhones and most other phones have 256 and 512 gb options, oddly enough the iPhone has bigger screen to body ratio and bigger screen sizes, no included heaphones, and the “limited” orange color option is capped at 64 gb
What’s more:
The Pixel 4 at basically the same screen size as the iPhone 11 pro has a smaller battery, 2,800 mah compared to 3,046 on the iPhone 11 pro and 3,110 mah on the $700 iPhone 11.
The bigger Pixel 4 xl also has a smaller battery than the pro max, 3,700 compared to 3,969 mah on the pro max
good job Google. Hope your new smartphones fail miserably
Gone is that notch and in comes a TOTALLY EXTENDED 100% NOTCH UP TOP! LOL
I'm three minutes in and all is hear is errors. Did you know what a Pixel 4 was before this video, or read any Android fan sites? Peace out.
I keep the 4xl in my backpack as a backup phone and Camera if need be, otherwise, I only used it for a few months until I switched.
my dream phone even in 2022
