It's amazing how many people don't understand the mini. It's an iPad THAT FITS IN MY POCKETS. Also I like the bezel, I don't get the annoying accidental touches from just holding it like I do with the phone.
Agree with the bezel. I honestly don’t care. I would’ve liked to get the latest chip though, not the one from last year, and I would’ve liked a screen upgrade. I intend to use it purely as a video/written/social media consumption device. I already have my phone and my computer for anything where I need to get any work or chores done.
The iPad Mini and a smartphone is a better user experience than a foldable. You get a real phone and a real tablet that runs tablet apps and games. Foldables run blown up phone apps that aren’t formatted
Thanks for the great review! I'll definitely be "upgrading" from my "old" 12.3" iPad Pro. Can't wait to get the little gem in my hands. Keep up the great work.
I have a 128 gig mini 4. People spent 499.00 for a mini 6 with 64 gig. There was a 150.00 difference between that and 256 gig. On the new I pad there is a 100.00 difference. I am going to buy the 256 gig as I plan to have this iPad a long time. My 128 gig mini 4 lasted 9 years. With AI, you don't know how much memory the other apps are going to eat up so you are covered in that regard. Oh and for the people who don't think this tablet is a seller, Amazon in the UK have sold out of the wi fi only versions.
I did it today for the simple fact that the trade in value is great from the 6 to the 7 and I bumped from a restrictive 64gb storage to a more respectable 128gb base storage. AI features will be nice too on an iPad platform.
I've upgraded from the 5th Gen, and went with the Space Grey - not a fan of pastels. Well done, US Apple fans. Your iPhones might not have SIM trays any more, but at least you got a charging brick with your new iPad Minis. Unbelievable. Thanks for the content.
Something someone brought up is the longevity of the newer chip and ram. Do you think upgrading from a mini 6 to this 7 will really secure a longer lifespan?
Does your “find my pencil “ work? My Pencil Pro works perfectly in all field on my new A17 Mini, except “Find my Pencil” will not work. Nobody at the Apple Store could figure it out. They even replaced my Pencil. They think it may be a software problem that may get corrected in a future update.
Jelly scroll is better but still apparent and IMO disappointing for an Apple product. Not very visible with the pages you showed, moreso with real world use like scrolling down (not back and forth…just one, normal swipe down or up) text and divider heavy forum pages like MacRumors’.
I've been waiting for this for a while, and now it's here it's pretty meh. - New chips set oooh, only it's not an m2 chip. - "Better" screen, only it's not really. - Still not brought back the headphone socket? Really, on a media consumption device? Which clown missed that opportunity? I know I can use Bluetooth but do you trust a small child with wireless headphones? And keeping them charged? Also sound quality via Bluetooth is plop. - Bezel is still massive. - The only good thing is that the mini 6 is gonna drop in price and the secondhand market price will be low so maybe I'll get that and a stupid dongle thing for headphones.
Dan, if you are not able to see jelly scrolling in the first place, maybe you should let someone else review that specific part who gets dizzy by it, on a channel with half a million subs.
I just traded in my old iPad Air to go back to the mini. I’m old school and cannot work on an iPad. I need a real computer. With that said, I do enjoy media consumption on the iPad so for that purpose the mini is great. I still appreciate the bezels because it leaves room to grip.
The only people obsessed with 120Hz are tech geeks with no life and no friends. Beautiful women, normal men, and parents don’t care and can’t tell the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz
@@lamar310 No 120hz is how the standard displays should be lol 60hz it’s why Apple is still pulling it off selling a $800 device with that frame rate only applies to sheep’s like you
Apple really phoned it in. 😢 It's the iPad mini 6 with a new chipset. I.just wanted a brighter screen with maybe 90hz refresh rate? Pretty weak update.

Wait for Black Friday or just buy it now?
iPad mini 6th gen
I use a lot but sometimes app crashes, glitches, freeze ,battery warm forcing me to restart
What if this iPad mini 7th gen is same ?
Oh crikey! How could you possibly rip the paper wrapper?! 🤣 joking aside, I always like to keep that for resale

making the black bezels smaller is pointless now that they are adding that white bezel around the black bezel
Who is waiting for the Airpods Pro 3?
If software updates are giving us all the new features, I’m thinking a 3rd Gen won’t happen any time soon.
Jelly scrolling is clearly visible at 0.25x speed, the new display is definitely better
I’ll wait for the bezel update.
I have a mini 6 in starlight, but I kinda wanna get the new blue one

Hopefully handle Foreflight better
Oooo. That unboxing….
I got the new cleanmymac and it lacks the clear purgeable space feature… 😒
what game is that?
What game is being played in the video?
Looks like Diablo Immortal
Every Color is different from the Mini 6. Even the Space Grey is less saturated than the Space Grey on the 6--- :D
Nobody is mentioning Final Cut Pro works on the new iPad mini

no pro motion - no buy

Then watch another video. Everyone’s got their different take, so it’s best to watch a few reviews from different people anyway before buying.
For real holy shit
You are scrolling way to fast to show if there is jelly scroll or not.
Fps?????
Fps pubg???
No landscape camera, huge bezels… clearly a holdover design.

Can someone please explain why “ASMR” unboxing is a thing? I just don’t get it.
Not really a help, I know.... but 2024.... not a lot makes sense anymore.
@@rgsniper2fair point. I sometimes feel like an old man yelling “get off my lawn!” about things, but yet, here I am…

Nice hiss!

60ghz not good
