@@Northern_Farmer Hi I'm pleased to hear this I did wonder if this was from a few weeks back in time as I thought by now you would probably already have snow. We are having trouble here finishing autumn planting as we've had a huge amount of rain in the last few weeks so winter wheat crop is not complete and we're also attempting to lift sugarbeet and supply to the local factory. My son has a harvesting operation for sugarbeet this goes on right through the winter till the end February some Times.
Lots of guys swathed barley around here too. Way too short to straight combine unless a guy had no rocks and was using a flex header. Lit up a few brush piles today. Burning up nice.
I always cut my barley down too. Them head loss drives a guy crazy hey. I remember someone sending a video of the heads on the ground like that somewhere
Barley was kinda dumb this year. We swathed ours in august. Some was dead ripe and the heads were like yours hitting the ground. Other places was green like grass.
