Always cool to see the trauma center tradition continue in the gdq! I know it doesn't bring as much hype, but its kinda become comforting at this point that it gets ran at night/early morning or whatever with a small audience
First off, I love that dude on the couch brought shoe covers hahaha +1 for realism Fun but slightly off-topic fact: the Da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical suites (the one that was memed over doing surgery on a grape) can not only record your surgical procedures, but they can also time them and can compare them to other surgeons internationally across ranked leaderboards, with the highest place awarded to the quickest procedure. It's heartwarmingly funny because a lot of people in the comments are saying that it's probably not a good idea to have a speedrunner for a surgeon." However if you think about it, the longer you are under anesthesia, the more likely you are to have additional post-operative complications; a speedrunning surgeon is exactly what you want, but one that is highly knowledgable in the real-life procedures XD
I would love a Trauma Team run next GDQ. It'd be neat if they did a 6-man run where someone is assigned a character segment to run, but that would take lots of planning and coordination beforehand.
Ahh... the memories of screaming at trauma center: under the knife cause I couldn’t figure out how to disarm a bomb with a scalpel. This series is why I aim to be a doctor now, so to see speed runs like this is amazing! ⚡️🥺
Trauma center/ Trauma Team speedruns are a beauty to behold! I cant even do the silly pacemaker mission because the second wire REFUSES to connect and stay, so that is even more impressive!
I still get emotional when they successfully save the Pepita (the dog), and I don't know why. This is definitely the run I'll say "save the Animals" every single time.
this game is called trauma center because surgeons are rewarded for how quick they can go and perform malpractice in a speedrun. thank god the ranking system requires you to actually suture and bandage correctly.
The X missions in each game are such a beating. I never beat X-doritos in the original game, it was just too much. Even X-kyriaky was days of grinding to keep the patients alive through the savagery
man i did this on ds. still no idea why i bought it. some late missions are stupid hard i thought it would be semi realistic :( still a good game that i dont see many people playing at all.
It's a good thing the sutures disappear and cause the tissue to heal instantly. Otherwise, with how much suturing you have to do late in the game, you might as well be weaving a brand new organ out of surgical thread.
Damn, that first pacemaker was a huge stop when I first played the game, he just passed it like it was nothing, even using the healing touch for style points...

imagine your getting an emergency surgery and your surgeon says damn i broke my chain as you pass out lmao
The surgeon just be like: "Yo imma just do an appendectomy any% glitchless don't worry I can reset and have healings hands"
top 10 things you don't wanna hear from your surgeon
@@pokepike1286 I'd want to hear it even less from anyone *else*, /especially/ if they're somehow in the operating room.

Your surgeon always is speedrunning your surgeries, yes. The question is if they do it any% and not the more proper hippocratic%

The only problem that arrises are stuff like Diganostician and Forensics are purely just menu navigation
@@steeledminer616 Furthermore, Trauma Team is much less suited to speedrun than the rest of the games, mostly because of its length.
Maybe just the operation-based levels. I think Diagnostics and Forensics might make for a boring speedrun for some.
Things you don't want your surgeon saying:
Hang on, just a few more cardiac arrests. I'm grinding a high score.
He says that extreme mission is harder than it looks but it already looks totally absurd. Wow.

Man i wish they'd make a new trauma center game
Kudos to running a game so heavily based on ir, that shits intense
IR?
@@dorkasaurus_rex Infrared. The wii controllers use the IR sensor

It sucks they always seem to run in the middle of the night, its so fun to watch and i love how theyre always in scrubs 👌
My view on this run changed drastically when I noticed it was a wii and not a pc
That last Cheir was mindblowing. There so much going on and Thurler made it look so easy! Majestic.
I still get emotional when they successfully save the Pepita (the dog), and I don't know why.

this was an impressive run, had to come to watch it again
Never heard about this game, nice run

1:56:20 "Elena, please move out of the way. You're obstructing my view of the flour tortilla."
I wasn't sure if the jittering of the cursor sometimes was the wiimote sucking or nerves. Looks like they had fun though!!!
Probably both
I knew an All XS category Exists but to see it in a GDQ... What a treat 😍
I remember playing this game when I was a kid. TO THIS DAY 2-5 HAS WALLED ME!!!!!
Trauma Center games always make for interesting speedruns ^^

holy shit this game was my childhood
This run was incredible! Almost got me distressed in the extreme operations
I could never get past the chapter 2 spleen thing, broken bones are soooo precise...
God it's good to see New Blood run. Maybe a Trauma Team next gdq?
omg the cranberries reference
Nice! I love this game. :>
YAY ANIME MALPRACTICE SIMULATOR: NEW BLOOD!
imagine going under for surgery and seeing a speedrun timer start right before passing out
Which surgeon are you scheduled for? The Speedrunner? Okay~~
Oh boi imagine if that was real xD
Love the run😄

Nice run!
bruh imagine your getting surgery and then this guy walks in, bros gonna finish your surgery in 30 seconds
but where's our ds trauma center speedrun? it would be hilarious to watch a runner do all this precision on a tiny little ds screen
AGDQ 2019 had Trauma Center: Under the Knife run by TrjnRabbit, where he somehow used *two* styluses on the tiny DS screen. :3
@@Catgirl_Frostmoon It was Under the Knife 2, actually. Hopefully we will see Under the Knife 1 at a GDQ at some point
*Frostmoon* The Catface Idol I gotta see that
DS Speedruns are a much smaller community, a lot of it having to do with the difficulty in capturing / streaming DS content
32:11 atlus does it again
1:21:59 Yeah, patient.
Eu não sabia que a speed desse jogo era tão grande pqp
Nem sabia que existia speed desse jogo.
love the costumes haha
is "cool" better than "good" or the other way around?
thats a wiered game. looks really hard, wp thou.
