Wow Paddy lucky man. Lovely Thailand 🇹🇭 I was there 2nd time in Dec 2023 since my trip in April 2008. Amazing foods loved everyday of my 3 weeks there last year.
Magnificent properties! I watched this episode via a link provided on GTM’s channel and it brought me back to your channel which I used to watch regularly during the pandemic. Greetings from Chicago. Great episode.
💚💚. Hey, friend! I found that video truly interesting! Thanks for sharing it with us. I gave it a thumbs up! 👍 Excited to see what you post next! 🙂🤩🤩🤩🤩
@brucewayne2773 He has his house in Samui but I believe he owns it with partners and it is a rental property, not somewhere he would live. It's so beautiful.
My wife who’s from Isaan didn’t understand baths either. I being from the states definitely do understand baths. So I’m working in Poland and brought her here and showed her baths now she gets it and we’re going to install one at home in Thailand!
@@laggmonstret ah man after a long day of hard work run a bath as hot as possible and sit in it and relax all your muscles and joints. Then take a shower to clean up. Also now I’m an aircraft mechanic working in hazardous materials stuff like jet fuel so the hot bath helps draw out the fuel and whatnot.
Happy condo hunting Paddy. I also follow Sukhumvit Homes, now I have a face to put to the videos and I will be in touch with them when I come over in the future.
Great to see. Thanks. Seeing that top end Condo might actually make some wealthier people, travelling for a short period of time, to see what is available to lease short term on a Condo rather than stay in a hotel.
I live in Sydney, Australia. I will be in Bangkok this coming December 2024. I will be looking for condos to purchase around Na Na and Thong Lo. It is nice to get some ideas. I found that prices of condos are not that cheap but it is still very cheap compared to inner east Sydney where I live. An AUD $1mil (THB $23Mil) is only buy you a good 1 bedroom or a very good studio with harbour view.
yeah condos aee cheaper compared to aus but construction quality is also gonna be subpar and your apt is unlikely to appreciate in value in bkk...and then there's the actual quality of life comparisons you have to factor in.. beyond I can eat out and it's cheap
Great timing as I'm going to be condo hunting in a month! I don't know why expats wanna live in Asok / Nana so much though. It's mad busy, can't walk around without "massage? suit? massage?" on every corner, etc. I much prefer the Ekkamai / Thong Lor / Phrom Pong areas personally, as well as Sathorn.
We have stayed at Building #2 for a couple of months. Excellent location and the walk through Hyde hotel to the BTS is very convenient. Terminal 21, TOPS everything is within a few steps. If you know the area and don't mind it, then this is an excellent building. The amenities were awesome! I would stay here again if I had the opportunity.
I absolutely love the Crest property, it is absolutely gorgeous. Every inch is stunning. We are relocating and are seekikg a very similar property, also . I will follow the realtor you profiled. We just returned from Pattaya Thailand we stayed at the Royal Cliff Beach hotel for 10 days. Pattaya wasnt my jam, but Im really deeply interested in Bangkok especially higher end areas. Thank you!
5:25 -5:35, about small condos : I have rented a condo in Lumpini Park Rattanathibet in Nonthaburi. The entrance to Lumpini's areais less than 100m away from the entrance to MRT Bang Krasor. Size is only 22sqm, but equipped with a full functioning kitchen, bathroom, living/sleeping area and a small balcony. I am the first tennant and I have rented it unfurnished. Thus, I was able to furnish it to my likings. Rent is 58,800 bath annually which is approx. 4,900 bath monthly. Although in front of Lumpini Park Rattanathibet there is a busy and very noisy 12-lane road, because my unit is on the 6th floor at the back side of the fifth out of five buildings, it is absolutely quiet. I do have a stunning view across rich Thai's villas with a lot of greenery. I can hear the birds singing and watch squirrels jumping from roof to roof. The MRT takes me into central Bangkok within 50 minutes. I have been living there on and off for 8 years already.
The Crest, I like the building but just because of the location does not really justify the price. That is why there are the train, cars, scooters, tuk tuk to get you around. I hope you guys found a great place at a great price 🙏.
2 of our favorite UA-camrs! We’ll be in touch with Jeroen as we plan to move there (we got to meet him when we were there in 2023…hope to meet you as well, Paddy!)
I have been viewing your videos for a long while, finally waiting for my flight to Bangkok. I would love to pick your brain about Phuket if you have time. I arrive on Saturday. 😊
Millennium residence is one of the best options that ticks most boxes. 2 beds are around 60K it's the biggest piece of land in CBD for a residential area
I like the Crest’s duplex. I’m curious if the meaning of duplex is different from that of in the US, in which its two separate domiciles on one parcel of land, speaking loosely. Another great video.
Very informative. I think for my purposes I don't want to live in BKK, too busy and crowded. Can I assume that outlying areas are much cheaper? I'd really like to lease a house with some grass around it.
Chris Parker who used to live in the 2nd condo you showed us payed about 75000 baht too on a 1 year contract. If I rember right it was a bit over his budget he said but the view was overwhelming so he signed the contract
If you have a dog, then the market is significantly limited to a handful of buildings that are pet friendly in the area. From my previous research, not much options available.
Only thing I can say Paddy is life is a roller coaster, so be ready for slow time and don't over spend. I have made that mistake. Enjoyed the video. Did you see that 12 rai in the beach in Samui? Sees like a good deal. I would buy it in a seconds if I had the cash now.
$5775 USD rent for that nice duplex is a steal as a New Yorker. I pay $6000 for a small 1 BR in NYC and it is only 1 floor, maybe a quarter of the size of this place with not as nice finishings. Even though it may seem luxurious to some, lots of young corporate types in NYC can easily afford that split between 2 people.
Coincidentally my wife and I are house hunting right now in California. It is true what they say....location location location. The debate continues...go for a large place far from things, or a smaller place in the heart of things (or close to the beach/lake/river)?
I mean, I get the appeal for Bangkok but got a house in another city that is paid for already and cost just about the equivalent to just 1 year of that rent. And barely and costs! Most expensive is internet lol
I hope someone sees my comment! Me and my husband and our one year old are planning on coming to Bangkok for 6 weeks and we’d like to find a two bedroom apartment at a reasonable price in this area if someone has any suggestions
I thought being a real estate agent was a 'protected profession', reserved for Thai citizens. If that is not the case, certainly could be an alternative to teaching English. 👍
I can show you a beautiful modern traditional thai villa 4br + pool + garden on 1rai plot, half furnitured for 80k monthly/1year+ lease on samui. 15min. to the airport. for what you need to live in bkk?
I would rather pay 10000 for a condo in Jomtien in Pattaya, in a big residential complex with Olympic size pool and have the option to swim in the sea albeit murky or in a Phuket-like clear water by driving 30-40min. IMHO paying the premium rent prices in BKK only makes sense for people who have work in BKK.
Pleasure going around with you guys. Had a great time!! See you soon.
Nice to see you in Paddy Doyle's video Jeroen.
Professional
Great! Will contact you in October when I am back in BKK
Great video and definitely will drop you a line as we are looking to move to something new 😊

Thanks for taking us with you!
Chris Parker (RW4U) lived in the 2d condo you showed. I remembered as soon as I saw the unit.
Chris has multiple residences throughout Thailand , doesn't he ?
my guess also. he is moving to samui.

Great eye opening tour. Thanks Paddy and Ms P.
The views from condo 2 are amazing!
Very interesting as I’ll be looking at a condo so I’ll get in touch with him . Hope all goes well in finding the right place for you both .
Very insightful Paddy, thanks for this video
Oh wow a collaboration of my favorite UA-camrs haha
Get on your bike and show us some more of Thailands hidden gems
Road trip next week ❤
I was going to say I recognized Chris Parker’s old place at Hyde.😂
Booked my fourth trip to Thailand for next year 😄
Paddy you and Ms P are absolutely right - the duplex is beautiful!

Love the area around millenium residence, also love the family vibe of the residence .
The crest penthouse is stunning
Thanks for giving us a perspective on rental rates in central BK. Not as inexpensive as I would have thought!

Would like to see some condos with smaller square meters. Lower budget.
Me too. I'm currently living in Manila 24sqm for $400. I like cozy places and would feel lost in something larger than 30sqm
What happened to buying land living in the country?
All these are so luxurious when I know I'm only having a 26 sq m loft 1 bedder.😅 Lovely condos.
Very interesting condo tour. I love architecture and design on someone else's dime. This lifestyle seems only a winning lottery ticket away.
I found this very interesting. Hope you find your perfect place! 😊
ahhh, I do know who was in that second unit. pretty neat coincidence
Brilliant; however, I’m at 30k thb. Nice to see how the young and gainfully employed live. Cheers 🥂

We stayed at Movenpik hotel just up the road from there. The 7/11 was a spot I used to get beer! Great location.
Hi paddy
Love the new Bangkok video's
Will you be ever getting back on dreamy and go around Thailand exploring again??

The second apartment was Chris (RW4U) ?
that's what I thought, too.
It’s all cheap compared to Hong Kong. For the last apartment the prices in HK start around $12000 and up depending on location
Sounds like there might be a mini-Paddy on the way? 😀
Nice content..was always curious about the Bangkok condo scene. Greeting from Lhasa Tibet
I want to know more about the small studio he mention please😊thank you for all the great information you provide 🙏
Beautiful bangkok
Thanks for sharing that 🎉
The best thing about this video are all the comments
Who was the youtuber that lived there? I'm guessing RW4U??
Hi,
Wow, beautiful condos! Paddy, what's your watch?
Be well both of you. 🙏
How much would be the rent for a studio in that last beautifully located building in front of the park?
$2,000 just for an apartment, that is my whole budget for the month, where can I eat for free lol
Worked it out into Australian dollars.
$434 per week ,so not particularly cheap.
Random question, but weren't you planning on building a house in Thailand?
I loved all the decorative moulding in the second unit 😍! Do many apartments in Bangkok allow dogs?
If you have a dog, then the market is significantly limited to a handful of buildings that are pet friendly in the area. From my previous research, not much options available.

If I am dropping that kind of cash on rent and if the long term plan is to make BKK home then I'd look to purchase something instead.
You mentioned japan. Are there any future japan videos coming?
Yeah 👍
I can live by the beach in southern California for $2k or downtown Chicago. These bangcok prices are getting little insane
What about Koh Samet ? When will you go over there? Still waiting...

The keyword there is IN NY.
@@MrSuperohhlala Yeah but jobs are remote these days. Not too hard to get C2C contracting work in NYC and live abroad.

Hmm relative to the first apartment (2bdrm), I think I'm overpaying at 30k thb for a ~60sqm 1.5bdrm in Saladaeng. Lesson learned.
Is that a slippery slide in the thumbnail?
Miss P and I is gooda english, we put ourselves last. 😊
What is his youtube channel?
People who live in nyc are kicking themselves looking at the bang for buck in this video.
NYC is exorbitant. Same as in Singapore.😅
Why not mention that it was RW4U's condo? Why the secret?
Rent everything, that's my advise.
That school field looks like where retired 4 U did a lot of his videos now it makes since that his friend lived next to it
Great video

Anything along Sukhumvit from Asoke all the way down past Phrom Phong is undesirable for long stay.
Choose #3. No such thing as "too big" for us
I thought being a real estate agent was a 'protected profession', reserved for Thai citizens.

Sukhumvit between Nana and Asok is hell on earth. I’d rather live in walking street in Pattaya.
That was Chris Parker’s old place. You can tell from the decorations. Fix that strap it’s doing my OCD in. How many subscribers needed for 2 and 3 :-)
Since you travel a lot finding a place close to the airport and you have two airports to choose in Bangkok
2 or 3 years at that rent price you could build a custom house in rural Thailand and actual own an asset. Very interesting video.
