- I continue my survival journey with Outdoor Reactions )) No any coyotes or mountain lions so far, but every time when darkness coming - I'm seriously freaking out with jumping heart out of my chest and almost failing while trying to get out with all equipment from that scary places. Why am I doing it?) one day day I wouldn't upload any videos because of that wild animals and nobody even wouldn't guess why, because nobody watching my videos aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! A!!! well, technically I can say that I'm vocal couch, super teacher, singer, artist reacts to some heavy metal - but what a boring labels) - I'm a Russian girl, ok? you'll watch it and no complain!

Korn is the band that made the New Metal genre explode. The lyrics are deep and heavy, which speak of abuse, violence and other acts suffered by vocalist Jonanthan Davis. "Daddy", the last track on their first album, is probably one of the most shocking songs I've ever heard.

"Old and modern."
A good description for Korn. They've actually been around for quite a few years and they were one of the early pioneers of this style of music, so it makes sense that they would sound old and modern simultaneously.
The lead singer experienced horrific abuse as a child, and many of his themes of isolation and hurt and hatred stem from this. He also experienced significant loss more recently in his personal life, contributing to the ongoing dark themes in his lyrics.

Also the first time I've heard Korn described as a combination of Slipknot with Red Hot Chili Peppers, but it actually makes sense. They have the heaviness and the punchy guitars of Slipknot, and the groove and funk of Red Hot Chili Peppers. That description works.

Yeah Korn is a pretty dark band lyrically .Because their singer has a dark obsession with serial killers.He owns a serial killer museum Ted Bundy's Volkswagen.Paintings by John Wayne Gacy(Clown Killer) and all sorts of macabre items.This song deals with being bullied at school and then taking revenge. A theme runs through this album(Thoughtless).In another song of this album (Alone I Break) the video shows the singer walking through a house,all the while killing his band members(electrocution,smothering, poisoning and pushing of balcony).I have Follow the Leader & Thoughtless albums but was more into their music 20 years ago.But still enjoyed your review so thank-you for posting.👍

Korn is one of those bands that have gone through different phases & styles while maintaining their core sound. Much like Deftones, I tend to like the first couple albums best.........I actually seen them just after releasing the Life is Peachy record in 1997. They played very aggressively & with so much energy, I was completely blown away!
This song isn’t my favorite Korn song but it’s not a horrible song either. I feel Thoughtless is on the commercial side, made more assessable for radio & a wider audience. To me, if you want the true essence of Korn you need to look at songs like Clown, Adidas, Kill you & Good God........maybe Got the Life/Freak on a Leash just to name a few. It’s there that you will feel Jonathan’s pain & his fury that make his vocal style so original. I tend to like the more raw side of bands mostly because these are usually my gateways into the music. Still, Korn is a great band with many amazing moments over the last 25 years! Way, way better than Limp Bizkit by a long shot! Boom! 💥💥💥
Fun fact: The song Wicked from Life is Peachy features a still largely unknown Chino Moreno of the Deftones.

Korn isn't my favorite band, to me most of their songs just sound alike and sort of plain maybe is the word for it. I just never got into NuMetal with turntables, rap etc. But I'm sure a lot of people don't like the bands I do as well so I don't hold it against anyone who does like it, unless they like Limp Bizkit too!
I do like your outfit and of course the sunset. Honestly I guess the rules are pretty strict out there. Where I live there are literally no rules about Covid and cases here are surging over the last two months. You like to hope people will make good choices but they don't as a rule without some kind of rules in place.

You have to listen to more Korn, they are Nu Metal gods. They tune down the guitars for a darker sound. Lyrics have more depth than it seems

This song came up in a time where a lot of school schootings happened. I think this song is about social outcasts and bullying and mobbing. The music video explains it very well and tells the story in great visuals. It shows the bullied kid, the bullies and the cool kids at the prom, being all fake and superficial. The bullied kid in that Video is played by actor Aaron Paul. You might know him from Breaking Bad.

During Korn performance , me and my friends went away to eat drink and sleep a little , i remember Korn for this)), it 's called Nu Metal , dont know why but i dont feel and i dont like Korn and similar style 🤷♂️! Anyway everything is pleasant and interesting with the most beautyfull brave hunter of animals and nice vocal couch on the Planet like You ! Korn manage to have a very varied discography while keeping their core sound. So you are bound to find something you like.
It is usually very emotionally driven lyrics wise. Dealing mostly with not fitting in, in some way or another.
It is definitely very angsty music, but I'm a guitarist so concentrate mostly on the riffs.
I've seen a lot of bands live and though they are not my favourite, Korn is still the best live gig I have been to. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I am not a big Korn guy, but I believe this is about school shootings from the perspective of the shooters. To a larger extent about people who are ridiculed and the damage it can cause.

the song produces a hate emotion we've all had where we just can't stop hating on someone justifiably and that's why in a lot of his songs you feel that emotion of him something happened to him and it is lyrics he jumps right into the next line without a pause he wants to give you that feeling that is hate is rampant it's not thoughtful and pause his hate is just as thoughtless as the hate on him it's a cycle that's what I think the song really means
