Native German Speaker here
In the lyrics there is no indecision at all because in the lyrics is no "Yes and No" but only "No"
the verse is literally word by word:
You have me asked. (= German word order = broken down into You (Du), You have (Du hast), You have me (Du hast mich), You have me asked (Du hast mich gefragt) = basically "You have asked me"
And I said nothing. (meaning "I didn´t reply to your question")
the chorus is the church wedding vow which is asked by the priest to both of the couple seperately during the wedding ceremony directly before he declares the couple to be married - and - he answered the 2 questions of 1."eternal loyalty for the partner" 2 "eternal love for the partner" both with a clear "No" even twice 2 times (that´s very decisive and not indecisive..just saying)= basically he is blowing the wedding in front of the altar in the very last second.
So basically the song implies that the girl dragged him in front of the altar without having his consent and so he left her right there in front of the altar.
BUT there is an - auditive - word play in place in the first sentence by tricking the mind´s first thought in the way that sentence is performed...because as long as the in single words repeated broken down first sentence "You have asked me" isn´t finished with the last word "gefragt/asked" the sentence hasn´t the right context because it sounds as like as saying "You, You hate, You hate me" because "Du hast mich/You have me" and "Du hasst mich/You hate me" sounds exactly the same. (It´s kinda as like for instance saying in English "My, My deer, My deer has " but you very likely will mishear "My dear has" because it will be "your first thought" and only the last word will then reveal if it´s actually "dear" or actually "deer" by then finishing the sentence with the closing word "antlers" = that´s kinda how that worked with "Du hast")
But in the aftermath of the song the misheard "You hate me" - although it wasn´t said - gets context because of the following chorus because the chorus implies that he left her at the wedding ceremony which is for her very likely a huge embarrassment..and for doing that to her she might hate him now.
The open question is : Was he just mean...or... was he to such an extent under her thumb that only in the face of the altar he got finally his shit together and parted which he should have done way long ago.
This. I came here to say this.
Well maybe listen to that part again, because there is a high, slightly ethereal voice singing "jaaaaa", before the hard "Nein!" comes. Therefore it IS a matter of weighing the potential reply.
@@pfeilchen Seems like a female voice. So the bride says yes but he says no.
Absolutely a perfect explanation and totally makes perfect sense. Thank you this. Inflection.... How words are verbally spoke has such a impact on meaning. Thank you
@@pfeilchen that was her voice and not his voice
Du hast means you have, du hasst means you hate and they're pronounced in almost the same way.
If you get a chance to see them live, do it. Best show I've ever seen.
You look like my daughter, but she is 4 years old😅
I saw this tour (Volkerball) and their pyro is amazing. And a LOT. Definitely an amazing live show.
I agree. I have gone to 20+ concerts. This was the best concert ever
I wanted to see them live since 'sonne' came out.
Now it has become so expensive I will never be able to.
It became Impossible.
They sell out hotels a year in advance.
Yes. But it switch between "you have" and "you hate" me.
Till, lead singer, is a certified pyrotechnician and designs the effects in the shows.
From what I've been reading lately, apparently the whole band are all licensed pyrotecnitions
the whole band holds certifications to handle them, Till has the accreditation to Design the pyro setups (that came about after some unfortunate mishaps with audience members in early performances) but Nikolai Sabottka has designed their set for a bit now-either way they are always impressive
Please don't lose sight of the fact that this is a German band, singing in German to a French crowd who are fully invested and singing back in German in France! We've come along way since 1940.
Great reaction and breakdown. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yes. My thought also. This, to me, is a very strong statement on the unifying force of music, bringing people, that, might, not wanting to have anything to do with each other, together. Check out the video with Orphaned Land (ft. Hansi Kûrsch) - Like Orpheus, also a good example on that theme
My favourite Rammstein show ever... when the rest of the uk voted out of the EU (not me). Not long after, me, A Cornish girl, in Roman Amphitheatre in France, sat with some Spanish people we met, while watching Rammstein.
@@SheepishCaz now THAT'S international. Love it!❤
Greetz from a German in Hamburg.
@@RustyDust101 it really was an amazing experience! Greetings from Cornwall, UK too!
And Till shouts to the crowd in the middle "chantez" ie "sing" in French. So both the band and the audience speak a bit of each other's languages.
Saw them 18 months ago on their US stadium tour. They truly put on the best live concerts with visual and sensory overload
Saw them at the Colosseum in LA it was awesome
Nah, you are wrong. I think you need german to understand this.
You definitely need to go down the Rammstein rabbit hole. You won’t regret it. RAMMSTEIN!!!!! 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
That's the problem with an foreign Language. He sings Du Hast, which means You have. But you can say Du Hasst. Sounds similar but means You hate "me".
Greetings from Germany
I've known it as "you hate" since the 90s, so thank you lol (you hate me to say but I do anyway)
@@NotBenCoultrythere's another double entendre in the 4th chorus. There he sings about the death of the vagina and to be trustful to her even in bad days 😂😂😂
remember! this is a french audience! french have a lot of pride over their language, but the whole audience sings/shouts the lyrics in german the.
when you see Till putting his hands to his mouth and screaming to the audience he shouts: "Chante" that mean SING in French.
@@NotBenCoultry Well, the whole sentence Till sings is "Du hast mich gefragt, und ich hab nichts gesagt." This means "You [have] asked me and I [have] said nothing." So "You have" is actually the name of the song and mostly what he is singing in the music, but of course he plays around with the similar sounding "You hate", so to an extent both are true here. There's also some other homophones he uses in this song to distort the meaning.
@@thomasfranz6467 shit the translation I'd seen was almost completely incorrect 😂
Rammstein songs are usually pretty straight forward with their message if you take the lyrics literally. The deeper meaning behind their songs often get lost in translation. The song is actually about toxic relationships or even marriage and not an conflict in one persons mind.
I'm bipolar type I and Metal music greatly helps me to deal with the mood swings, especially the manic phases. The singers and the guitars scream so I don't have to. When I see a Metal band live I can headbang my problems into oblivion. 🤘❤🤘
Hey Taylor! Thanks for your reaction to this song. Ramstein has lots of other songs that might be something for you. Almost every song has a deep meaning and I’m sure, that you’d like them - especially because of your psychological background. Therefore I‘d recommend the songs „Zeit“, „Angst“, „Deutschland“ and „Mein Herz brennt (piano Version)“. I‘d also recommend to look up the translation of the lyrics while watching. And please don‘t miss the outros :) Thanks again - and have fun 😊
Rammstein's shows are on a whole other world level. Seen them in San Antonio and there was so much heat from the fire show that we were sweating through our clothes. The whole crowd woke up the next day with a smoker's cough! Amazing show!!!!
When you hear the song as a German native speaker, you´re torn between double meanings: "du hast" means you have, while "du hasst" means you hate, pronounced the same way.
What a load of garbage! It is one sentence, sung in components first, then in its entirety. No hating going on in here!! A musical, compositional tool. Nothing else. Used many times before.
Later in the song, after he says no to the wedding vows, hasst certainly makes more sense.
@@muppdog390 Because a german speaker having fun with the ambiguity that can occure in spoken german is unheard off! Unless you have some official source to prove your claim you are just stating your opinion just like everyone else.
@@muppdog390 Nope. I AM a German speaker and it is exactly like I said. Pronounciationwise, it is clearly a deliberate play on words, double-meaning. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Du_hast
@@JCGver Nope. I AM a German speaker and it is exactly like I said. Pronounciationwise, it is clearly a deliberate play on words, double-meaning. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Du_hast
to be honest, lyrically this isn't one of their deepest tracks. But their live shows are awesome, their music videos are absolutely stunning and many of their lyrics are much more deeper and have double and triple meanings. I subbed, waiting for more reactions to Rammstein - They are GREAT! Especially live!
Edit: imagine a french croud singing german lyrics - nothing like that has ever happened before. The french (especially after WW2) are very restricted on their own language with laws how much foreign music is allowed to be played on their radio and how much has to be in french language - awesome what Rammstein did there.
I have found that Puppe is a mind bender
Oh man…Rammstein has some seriously thought provoking tracks.
You’ve gotta peep “Mein Herz Brennt”, the piano version. It is HAUNTING.
Also, their live performance of “Engel” is also phenomenal. Both have a lot to chew on psychologically!!
Cheers
Rammstein is known for their suggestive lyrics. Yes it’s a song about wedding and vows, but the feel of the song suggests it’s not a positive song. It’s embodied in the wordplay of ‘you hate me’ which becomes ‘you asked me and I didn’t answer’. The lyrics don’t say much, but combined with the harsh industrial sound, the meaning of Rammstein songs has to be felt imo.
You just saw the best live band in the world and the greatest rock/metal show on the road these days. The masters of pyro, fire, lightening, lyrics and industrial metal (electronic/dance metal). Living legends with the same line up about 30 years
Zeit will blow your mind
You at 4:28 in is exactly how it feels to be at a Rammstein show. It's an experience, not just a concert. Go and see them if you can. Its a must see, even if you don't necessary love the music.
Needs to be an outdoor event with the full pyro setup - That show is INSANE ! ! !
I personlly think you realy should go see them IF you like the music... dont go if not to many cant go see them because of people who dont even like there music. That as well destroyes the crowed at such lovley concerts. but yeah it is unique and creasy overwhelming.@@MartinQvistTyron
Watching a Rammstein concert means you get a different theatrical production with EVERY SINGLE SONG!!! Try "Engel" and "Ich tu Dir weh" Live from Madison Square Garden. Plus watch some of their Official Videos like: "Sonne", "Dicke Titten", "Zeit", "Zick Zack" .................................
Witnessed this song in 2022 live. The presentation of this song is even better then. While it's not my favorite live song of theirs (Sonne (live) is epic), their live shows are insanely good.
So close, but it's not about "do I want to get married." It's about the the tense dynamics in an already existing relationship. Not a moment of indecision, but a cold fire. You see, du hast mich = you have me. Du hasst mich = you hate me. Pronunciation almost identical. You have me / you hate me. At the same time. And then you asked me and I said nothing. Do you want to be faithful, etc.
Having been in this exact relationship more than once, it rings very true. And you develop a kind of perverse male joy in pushing that button which is so paradoxical and so pointless. Oh, you have me. And you hate me. So what are you going to do about it? Oh, how do I feel about it? Tell you what bunches of looooove, I've said my stuff already, I don't have anything more to say...
Seen them live 5 times. I was at the msg show in 2010. That to this day was one of the best live show I’ve ever been to.
Til is a licensed pyrotechnician and does all of the pyro for the shows. Watch the live version of Engel!!
Finally she tried rammstein 🤟😩 you Rock
Another awesome video. I‘m looking forward to the next video. Also love your dance moves
Excellent reaction the only band I know that shoot rockets at their self’s on stage later.❤️😎🇺🇸
Since you liked Du Hast it's time to check out Armee der Tristen, Engel and Adeiu just continue down in the rabbit hole 🙂
It is one of THE best live shows I have ever seen! I saw them in Philadelphia in 2022.
Great reaction.
I'm a fan since '97. The song that got me was "Engel"- Angel. It was such a unique sound. And they surprise and fascinate me to this day. Btw same lineup from the beginning.
What fascinates me are the lyrics (most, not all song). A lot of them have double meaning. Which is a result where all bandmembers grew up, in the GDR. Most lyrics are written in a poetry style and a some are quite heavy subjects, taboos in western societies. They took a lot of heat for that. Society doesn't want to be bothered with taboos. Curious to see, what you think about songs like "Wiener Blut"- Viennese blood (Josef Fritzl), 'Ich tu dir weh"- I hurt you or "Mein Teil- my part"(Armin Meiwes).
As well as lighter songs like "Seemann- Seaman" or "Frühling in Paris- spring in Paris", "Zeit-time".
Looking forward to see more reactions from you to Rammstein.
With love from Germany ❤🤘🏻
Great reaction. I can only recommend continuing the Rammstein journey. Their personalities and their often controversial but deep lyrics must be very interesting for a therapist. 😁 And without any question… their shows and video productions are next level. They put so much effort and money in it. It’s simply amazing. Please keep digging deeper the rabbit hole. Liked the reaction and will follow your channel.👍
My first exposure to this song was in '98 at an indoor Supercross race at the MGM in Vegas during intermission. Concert quality audio, and it brought the entire crowd to life, great way to get hooked on a song!
if you would love to react to more of ramstein i would highly recomend Mutter or Sonne, these are slower and more melodic songs with i think even deeper meaning. but this was great introduction for you
Wortspiel : Du hast mich - you have me , Du hasst mich - you hate me .
The stage cost 6 million four days to assemble and disassemble it takes about 100 bus and literal glob masters to haul the stage around the world. They go hard.
There is a time-lapse video. In it, the construction takes 7 days. And they have two identical stages.
I'm a 72 year old geezer rocker. Grew up on Cream, Clapton, Hendrix, Stones, Allman Brothers, Doobie Brothers, Hot Tuna and many others. Saw all of those listed except the Stones and Hendrix. I watched a reactor react to Rammstein doing Rammstein from a NYC concert recently. All I can say is WOW ! ! - - I'd go see a Rammstein show tomorrow. At my age it's no longer , sex, drugs and rock n roll - - now just sex and rock n roll ! ! Retired is the only way to go.
Seeing them live was really awesome.
I got to see them when my bros took me to a concert that just happened when I was hitting very low and seeing them and being in the crowd cheering and singing along just lifted my spirits just from how crazy it gets, let's not.mention the pyrotechnics and all the show the band as a whole makes which is just amazing.
OMG, I have never seen such a clear analysis of this song from a first time listen, especially since you don't speak German, kudos to you.
Most incredible fun i ever experienced in my 43 years! Saw them in chicago 22.❤❤
Rammstein known for 80% of the Emissions world wide. And we fucking love it!
The pyro is awsome. I went to a show of theirs a few years ago. Best concert I've been to. They played for at least two hours.
The best way to get into Rammstein, is their live performances, dont get me wrong some of their music is absolute master class, but when you combine that with their stage show, chefs kiss.
The funny thing is Du Hasst, live is probably their most tame live performance, aside from maybe Engel.
Ooh and for a reccomendation
Engel, Rammstein, live version
A quick side note, Till Lindeman, is probably one of the most interesting frontmen out there. He is not just the lead vocalist, but also the bands lead pyrotechnician. Beyond that, he is an artist, pure and simple, if you should choose to watch Engel, pay close attention to his persona on stage, even if you shut off the music and just watched the video of his performance i think you might fully understand what he ks trying to convey, it is a bit haunting, and it doesnt end when the song ends, even the way that he exits the stage fewls like he is still very much in character.
I love your reactions. You’ve helped me see bands like tool in more than a “hey that sounds cool” kind if way.
I've seen them live 5 times and its always the most incredible show. Every time they come to the U.S. i go. Till is an amazing poet.
Great reaction as always !!!
And like all the reactions of this song and this live, as a French I must say that it's not nothing to a band to make thousands of French singing in german ahah
I’m new to this channel but I really like it. I don’t know how your song request system works but I just want to say “The Downward Spiral” album would be perfect for a video at some point if you’re looking for recommendations. I don’t know if you do albums or only individual songs, but its a chronological story with a lot of things that would fit with this channel and speaking about mental health.
You need to do Mein Hertz Brennt - Piano version :D
You need to keep on listening to them These guys have such a unique sound that I just can’t get away from.
Nobody does fire like Rammstein. They are the king of flame, on stage. People in the "Feuerzone" may actually leave with the equivalent of a sunburn.
Til Lindemann is an expert with pyrotechnics. He designs all of the fire and explosions that go into their live performances
Thanks for your breakdown of the lyrics. I've always loved this song because it is face-metlingly cool, but this has given me something to think about;
One of the most underrated singers of all time, Till has an amazing voice.
I saw Rammstein back in 1998 when they were touring America. I believe for the first time for this album.
It was an eclectic mishmash of artists but I went there specifically for Rammstein who if memory serves me correctly, played their set right before the headliners Korn.
That one song does not do them Justice in person. They are pyromaniacs or at least they were at the time from wearing a fire retardant trench coat while singing a ballad to actually pulling out a flamethrower and waving it out over the crowd and all the other pyrotechnics that you see in this video.
In 98 I was 22 and it was surreal seeing a band do this kind of stuff. I still remember the heat coming off of the stage curling my lashes LOL. And seeing the size of this crowd in Paris dwarfing the size of my stadium in my hometown probably by 10 or 20 times. The size was incredible but the audience was no less engaged
There have always been a couple songs on each album that have raised an eyebrow or created some sort of controversy or dialogue.
I love your channel. Love how you break down the songs with an authenticity, professionalism and empathy. Although this is a Rammstein video, I cannot wait to see you continue to go down the rabbit hole of Ren 🤘🥰 keep up the great work!
Saw them in New Jersey, amazing and most nicest crowd to be around, everyone is happy
They have always had the best shows ever.
Rammstein Live is an insane experience.
Every time I see this I have to watch Engel [Live from MSG] as well. Sounds like raw, uncut pain. God, I don't want to be an angel anymore.
For what your channel is about I VERY HIGHLY recommend "Meine Tränen" (with english subtitles ofc).
It is about domestic violence and toxic masculinity in parts.
It is a strong song and it could help people hearing it.
Greetings from Germany.
I saw these guys back in 2001-2002 in Hartford Connecticut. They were the opening act, second act System of a down when toxicity dropped, headliner was Slipknot. What an amazing show.
Also Rammstein's pyrotechnics were incredible, they had gasmasks with dildos attached to them that shot out a 20-30 foot flame of fire over the general admission crowd. Man what a show
This song is about a break up with an unfaithful girl and about losing interest in love and relationships after that, which I can relate a lot. Rammstein are goats and one of the best metal bands ever. Rammstein and Metallica are in heavy rotation during deployments, got you pumped and fearless.
Rammstein - Ich tu dir Weh is my no. 1 Rammstein song
Dualism is the foundation sentiment of humanity !!!
It takes great knowledge and skill to choose the side what is right for you, beware not the get mislead...
Example : 50% of me wish to die, while the other 50% wish to live, however not living like I currently do, No I mean really live... What choice doI make ? I can keep on trying to "Live" or end the tornment...
Pease make the right choice, I Love you all 🙏
Rammstein's lives are in another level, enjoy the rabbit hole 👊🏻❤️
Every show they perform is an amazing experience.
If we're on the Rammstein train, I recommend "Ich tu dir weh". The live performance, the song itself, all of it is *chef's kiss*
That absolute best concert you’ll ever experience
If ever there's a song to crank to 11 in your ride, this is it.
Or, "Links"
Everyone needs a little Rammstein in their lives!😁🤘❤🤟
The ABSOLUTE best and most elaborate live performances I have ever scene in my life. If you ever get a chance, jump on it!! Like it's bucket list worthy. For real!!
thank you❤❤❤
WOW GOOD IN THE FORCE IN YOU HAVE. THANK YOU
If you like this show with the pyro you gotta watch them do Feuer Frei!
My favourite band!
the video DUESTLAND will absolutely blow your mind forever!
You are so so so so so so so beautiful and alive full of energy ... Love you ❤
When you get the chance, check out the piano version of "mein herz brennt"(spell check that) by Rammstein. Extremely powerful song, made even harder with the delicate undertones of the piano compared to the og version. Fun fact: The singer, Lindemann is a licensed pyrotechnician.
They are hands down the best band ever to see live!!!! U need to go see!
there so much power being in an audience that size all you feel is the power of the band and those about you I wish ihad had a chance to gogin to see Rammstein
Este tema te va ha gustar de Rammstein Ich Tu Dir Weh habla sobre el subconciente y como este nos controla, du has es un temon que. Hablá sobre la monotonía en el matrimonio, Till es un artista completó.
I went to see them at Gillette Stadium in 2022 and it was the best show I have ever seen
Love Rammstein. A lot of their songs can be about controversial and social topics but all in all they are a very entertaining band that helped me wanna learn German. The beauty of music is that when it is from a different country you would wanna learn more about their cultural background. :D
Also, I wanted to give you a recommendation of a good song for you to check out:
Queens Of The Stone Age - I Appear Missing
That one is a great song about the singer Josh Homme going through a near death experience due to an injury and goes in detail of the toll it can take on one's psyche.
Preach sista preach it wish’s I was your patient you be the best therapist ever
This is the right version to watch :)
As to my story, I'm willing to share. I am stuck, mostly by circumstance it seems, though. Back at the end of 2015, I was deeply suicidal, and nearly succeeded. I was engaged to a woman, and things were going badly on my side. That's an extremely long-story, but she lived 13k kilometers away, and we met when I was on vacation. Anyways. There was intervention on my attempt to put an end to myself by a friend who saw something I posted on FB. My memory of the events are fragmentary though. As is the next three and half to four years, little more maybe. It was around the start of 2020 when I was getting my memory back. There was anterograde amnesia that resulted from sleep medication I was taking, plus some retrograde amnesia from the depression. The combination kept me largely unable to function without some kind of supervision, for years. I wasn't approved by my psychiatrist to return to work until a year later though, after I'd completed a group-therapy course for anxiety. So at the beginning of 2021, I started trying to get a part-time job. I'm still looking, just over three years later.
Now, there is another consideration which has complicated my job-hunt, and kept me stuck. I'm my father's primary care-giver now. That started just after I got my memory back and became more functional, my sister got me to move back to my childhood home, that I couldn't get out of fast enough when I was old enough to, to look after our father. He's now 82 (I'm 56), and he has mobility problems, a pacemaker, and he's going blind with macular degeneration. A possible future for me, since it is something that runs in families.
My mental-health diagnosis only got more complicated as time went on, and my doctors saw more of me. So, at this time, I am diagnosed as being on the bi-polar spectrum, have PTSD, major depressive disorder (melancholic depression), persistent depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, claustrophobia and most recently, a little bit of agoraphobia. The only psychiatric medication I take is divalproex, which controls the bi-polar and keeps my mood pretty flat. I don't take medication for the anxiety, I prefer to know when I'm close to a panic-attack, and remove myself from the situation. I want to control it, not the other way around.
Now, I am still kind of nihilistic, and passive in my ideation, but I do still try and make some progress every day. I've never been terribly social, and now I'm more isolated than ever. But I'm often more comfortable being on my own. I do still consider finding some kind of job really important to my recovery though, and have been pursuing whatever I can find that I feel I can do. I keep telling myself that it's only a matter of time, but that is getting harder to say the longer it goes on. I do have hope that I can get into a program soon, with a 10-week placement, that at least might lead to something more permanent. Fingers crossed...
"Du Hast" is a love song, a heavy and kick-ass love song, but a love song just the same. A lot of their songs are if in a melancholy way, particularly "Ohne Dich" [Without You] and "Strib Nicht Vor Mir" [Don't Die Before I Do].
This is the umpteenth time I, as a native speaker, watched a reaction from a non-native speaker, who normally doesn't listen to metal music (?), to Ramstein and I find it fascinating how the reactions are in a way simillar to each other.😁I am always curious how non-native speakers perceive songs like this.
Apart from the pyrotechnics and the tune being a banger. This has been insightful.
Scratching the surface of German industrial, be worth having a look at Combichrist and their live version of They/never surrender and get out of my head.
Saw them at the Family Values tour in Kansas City in 98 I think… It took me forever to find their cd after I got the Lost Highway soundtrack
I want to see Rammstein so bad! I was going to see them in the twin cities which is an hour from my house but it got canceled because of Covid 😩. Their shows are epic! They’ve attached flamethrowers to their guitars and even to their heads. They have a song Engel where they’ve strapped Til to a huge steel angel with flames shooting out of the wings
Always watch metal or rock live , stage show talent is a big part of it
Du Hast mich gefragt und habt Ich nichts gesagt = You hate me to say and I did not obey. I was in Germany back in 2009 in Leipzig and these guys are like Gods in Germany. They have merchandise for sale in entire sections in the airports.
Live in paris is edited like a videoclip and the last tour is more appropriate just to see how big they are and what they do live. The last tour the stage take 67 hours to built and they have a elevator in it. yes flake use a treadmill during his live performance.
You should definitely watch the video. In fact ALL the Rammstein videos are great and full of meanings.
Their official videos are soo entertaining
I think where the confusion comes in with the translation is when they released an English version of this song and changed the lyrics to “you hate” instead of “you have.” I know you have and you hate sound practically identical in German.
Deutschland is an experience. How's your German history? The lyrics are very telling.
Rammstein are unmatched stage shows are mind blowing. The lyrics are loosely based German wedding vows.
Female voices sing "yes" (the "ja" part), which is answered by male voice saying "No!" Many interpretations to the meaning of the song since Rammstein does not disclose it and lets people make up their own version. Many have said, based also on official video, that it may relate to "staying true to yourself, be who you are and do not let someone else change you, dictate to you your life choices, tell what you can and cannot do". Related to moment in video where the wife, or wife-to-be seemingly tells to a man to go and get rid of his pals, something to the "I don't like them so you cannot stay in contact with them" or some such. So he goes to them, but at one moment realises that his life choices are his own and not for someone else to dictate. And final choice is made. Again, just one of many versions what people have come up with :)
Singer Till Lindeman's knee hammering - there are again numerous legends about that and who knows what the truth is (I don't). But most popular story is that during one concert Till dislocated his knee in middle of performance and instead of stopping the show, he just hammered the knee back in place with his fist. Others didn't know what that was but thought that it was some new move Till came up with and audience also liked it, so from that moment Till took it into his repertoire. And legendary Till's Hammer was born. There may be some other "legends" on this and the actual truth may be wholly different but heck, I'll go with that version :)
One more thing - where's Rammstein, there's fire. Lots of it. And other pyrotechnics. Till Lindeman is certified pyrotechnic. Some say that all band members are, some say that only he is. Main thing is - there's always lots of it and it's great and super well done. Their live shows are unlike anything, they're also a band which has same band members since start. Not many bands have pulled this off. Fella on keyboards is called Flake and Till and him often do various antics during the show, where Flake usually ends up in a cooking pot or blown up and what not else. But Flake is no ordinary mortal, he's like a Phoenix which always rises again :)
Heya from Germany 🇩🇪 glad that you enjoy one of my favorite bands. But today I want to ask you for something special. So please react to DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN singing OGNI PIETRA (every stone) from the Arnau Concert on his own channel. It's about to be strong and fight against your troubles. It's in Italien, this song was composed especially for him and his 6 octave range. The guy is trained since the age of 5 years old, plays multiple instruments and is a very humble person, raised by his grandparents - this is a traditional thing in his homeland Kasachstan. Hope you enjoy it and wish you all the best ✴️ Petra
This, to me, is a very strong statement on the unifying force of music, bringing people, that, might, not wanting to have anything to do with each other, together. Check out the video with Orphaned Land (ft. Hansi Kûrsch) - Like Orpheus, also a good example on that theme
I saw Rammstein in Atlanta in 2012 and it was 'insane'. Til Lindeman (lead) goes above and beyond what you expect in a live show. He has in the past highlighted the scars he gets on tour. If you watch Ich tu dir weh video you will see a light in Tils mouth. He had them cut a hole in his jowl to run the light so as to hide the wire. If that's not 'insane' what is? It's amazing but 'insane'. 🤟🤟🤟
If the dude on the treadmill walks on it every night of every tour.. he has to be the most in shape guy ever...lol
