Gary, you a phenomenal Dad! You take such good care of your loved ones. Mel and the children are blessed indeed. Nice video of your family trip. Safe travels wherever you go.
Thank you Gary and Mel for taking us along on your venture. God bless and stay safe and enjoy
When I was in the Navy and Stationed in San Diego, I went home to pick up a 1956 4 door hardtop Chevy! I drove route 66 from Springfield, Missouri! Down through Oklahoma and down the Southern Route to San Diego!
All jokes aside..My eyes teared up watching your face at the In an Out!! 4 years ago...
Wow the scenery is so gorgeous..and those vast mountains so majestic! Thanks for taking us along, safe travels SLR!
Four corners is a sacred place where were told to gather if things get real dicy in the future!! Its nice to see it in person from your video!! Stay safe and happy travels!! ❤ Mamma Carolyn
Well, I've been following the Grainger Smith UA-cam videos of his and his wife's trip to Israel touring the Holy Land. I've felt like I was right there with them. And now...I'm taking a trip with y'all out west and I feel like I'm right there with you. So fun! Thanks for taking me along! The farthest west I've been - in real life - is Branson, Missouri.
Your trip brought back tons of memories. Thanks for the road trip. ❤😊
Yay road trip!!!!
What an AWESOME trip guy's have a wonderful vacation! God Bless you guy's!
Well deserved holiday Gary and Mel and family enjoy yourselves
May I suggest, joining your local library, once you do, you can check out audiobooks. Most times all on line, not even going to the library to check them out or return them! The world is the limit of your selections! AND. It's All free! ❤❤
We love audio books. Thanks to our library, we get them all for free. Audiobooks are our favorite thing to listen to while driving.
Thanks for allowing us to share your journey! If you could please use your remote head mics you use on your hats. They are so much better in all your photo inviorments. Love to all!
Hey Mel you was drooling before you ate the hamburger as in you and Gary's eyes roll back in the head when you took a bite
Mel and Gary and Family be safe Guys ❤❤ ❤❤❤ Have Fun 🤩
Thank you for the views, you all were wonderful! ❤❤
Thanks for taking us on your road trip. I’ve never been west so it’s cool to see other areas of the states.
I've never seen the look of elation on someone's face over a burger until now 😂. Hope you all had a great time.
I love seeing the relationship your family has with each other. It is very heartwarming, and just makes me smile.
Thanks for the beautiful scenery. I never been to the USA, so I love the travels without the travel legs and sore butt. 🤣😅🫶🇨🇦
Beautiful and thanks so much for sharing. I'll also always have a love for the desert/mountains but SW Louisiana is home.
Gary u deserve a good sleep after all that long drive! I couldn't do it!❤
The plains are tougher than the rest, last time I went anywhere significant, I drove from about Oklahoma City, to Casper Wyoming without stopping for more than fuel. Was almost 18 hours. I don't know if I could do that again, that was ages ago now 😂
Amazing scenery, thanks for sharing, much love from the UK to your family xXx
Looking at your boy… and a song keeps running through my head… “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth…” 🎶 🎵 😂
I believe it's going to be in Nashville Tn. That's what we hear. ❤ from Tennessee!!!
I love the kids reaction when they go to a hotel or motel. My grandkids acted like that had never been out of their house. Enjoy❤
So beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Happy travels. Thank you for taking us along. A1 editing as per usual Mel.
Welcome to my beautiful State. I have been following you since you started building your cabin home. Be safe and enjoy your vacation...❤
So happy you guys could come over! (This is sidney by the way.)
Love you Sid 💚💚 Was so good to see you honey. We love you!
Always watching, warms my heart to see west coast familiar things, like In & Out, 7-11, snowboarding. ❤
Hi Mel Gary & kids!! I’m loving traveling along with you all. The views are stunning! I lived in Louisiana for 2 1/2 years a long time ago but never got to see much. Keep enjoying your trip and stay safe!! 💜
What a wonderful adventure for your family. Memories for life. Our family traveled by car to nearly every continental state sometimes it was camping, or hotels or staying with family. We are blessed to live in a beautiful country and with God’s grace it will be great again. Safe travels and thanks for sharing.
a good day greetings from the Philippines!!!
Ok i had to pause @ 18:59 . The veiws so far is amazing . Thank you for sharing it with us ! ❤
Great scenery! Gotta love a road trip.
Home is where your heart is. Hi🇦🇺🇦🇺
Wonderful video! I feel like I’m on the trip with you guys! Thank you for taking us along! That burger looks like it could be heaven on earth! Yummm!
From a mountain dweller (at 6,150’ elevation) in New Mexico, I know your travel route oh so well! Thankful your short time in Albuquerque was restful and uneventful. My youngest son lives in Utah, and have taken the same route, with 3 of my grandbabies! It’s a very beautiful and desolate area. Safe travels!
Oh man the pure bliss there @ the last when yall took that first bite ! It says it all 😂❤
We stopped there on vacation when I was 16 years old,I’m now going to be 77 years old.I thought that such a neat place to see all those States at one time.🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤ thanks for the ride 👏🏻👏🏻🫶🏻
Road lunches are the best. Safe travels. ❤❤
100% I have so many good memories with my family growing up, roaming around, stopping to make a sandwich and grab some chips. Good times
You guys are so close to me. I'm about 30 minutes south of Saratoga Springs.
Edit: Maybe 40.
Great video Mel. Safe travels and I pray you all have a great time catching up with Gary's family and at the Wedding.
Beautiful sites
I’ve been to 4 corners USA but it was open, no seats, no shade, no shopping there before. It was over 20 years ago.
Beautiful travels. I got to drive home to Missouri one year, with my mom & stepdad, drove from So. CA to New Mexico in 8 hours I think. Stayed there for a week then onward to MO. It was mostly on the 40, beautiful drive. Hope your having fun with family!
The drive and colours thru Texas you said the mountains just amazing. Landscape just so pretty .
Thank you all for sharing the trip. Brings back memories . Be safe.
After thought...burgers looked yummy ❤❤❤❤
Loved traveling along. The first time I went to 4 corners it was the metal plate in the ground surrounded by Navajo Indian booths (wood and canvas) with rickety tables selling their wares. I have a vase here in my living room that I purchased there. Also was a little blue and white bubble camping trailer with a Navajo lady Navajo fry tacos. She fried them up inside (I can't imagine the temp as this was in August) and then assembled them on a paper plate on a table outside. I think they were a dollar each. One of the best I have had however! It's changed so much now, I wouldn't recognize it. I think the dryness of the desert helps to preserve those old homesteads and structures. Here in the Midwest, they would mold, rot and fall down in a relatively short time...not to mention the hard winter effects of snow. Thanks again for sharing!!!
Hey thanks guys for the great video, I’m a new subscriber and I’m from New Mexico. Glad ya’ll get to see NM and the 4 corners.
Safe travels and see you soon ❤🙏
Thank you for taking us with you i love seeing the old sites and bew ones along the way. ❤ Cant wait till you get on into Utah
Such beautiful scenery...great trip❤❤❤
And yes I miss eating at in&out
In & Out Burger is the first place my sister takes me when she picks me up from the Las Vegas airport. Last year I had zero desire for this trip as the the last time I went, it was not as good as I remembered. Maturing palette I reckon
I love In and Out Burgers 🍔 ❤
Beautiful never been this way!
Beautiful Scenery Safe Travels Y’all
Enjoying the scenery from the cornfields of Indiana! The kids are such good little passengers! I went to the Albuquerque ballon festival in the late 90's and it was absolutely amazing!! I was like a little kid oohing and aahing at the spectacle. My first time eating at In & Out was in 2016 and I was hooked! I bet we ate there twice a day the entire time visiting California! Enjoy!!
I’m from the dessert West Texas ! I live in Mobile , Al ! I love it out there.. the openness
I love my area of Arizona. The sun makes us happier and the less severe winter weather. The desert has it's own unique beauty... IN n OUT is 12 minutes from me! 😆
1:16 That phone caddy on your dash looks like the site on a rifle... Aim true, folks. When I was driving through the same general area (leaving Az.) with my wife and kid I was driving a brand-new Ford Maverick (one of the first off, the line) ... yeah, that long ago. I had to stop several times on one of the road rises (a relatively low-rise ratio) because that little car had to cool down. But we got to see some marvelous country on that trip before I had to report at Ft. Ord.
Love the video and superb visuals.hi from 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Ain’t nothing like a good family trip. Glad y’all are enjoying yourself. ……Tiny Houston MS
Yeah Idaho finally got an in and out so we got it we're Uptown Funk too
Been there at the 4 corners
We went to the Grand Canyon and stayed in Silverton colorado for the weekend. And drove back to Florida where I live. What's a wonderful vacation
Yall are about 2 hours north of me. I live about 15 mile east of New Mexico border.
Great framerly fun!
If you guys got the time hit Oregon Coast. It's beautiful!!!
That is really beautiful Wow a great site to see.😊
Looks like a great trip so far.
I've been through there a few times when I was delivering campers
Every time you drove down through one of those basins or valleys I could just picture John Wayne turning and saying "Well I'm going to start my ranch right here from as far as you can see that way, that way and so on" LOL That homestead I'm quite sure he grew Cacti and rocks. That Four Corners was neet can you imagine taking your kids for a drive and leaving one in all different states. God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
When we went to Four Corners the outhouse was facing away from the monument and had no door on it. NOTHING was there then. Probably about 1979 or 1980.
I drove just over 500 miles yesterday
I saw the four coners in 1984. Looks more built up now.
Back then Native Americans were selling jewelry and not so many buildings.
Loved the scenery and family time!
You passed right by my place near Albuquerque. Was so excited. Have a very happy trip. You said you were stopping for baseline because of the dryness but Vaseline has petroleum. I recommend castor oil. It keeps you young and it’s natural and good for so many things. Have fun beautiful family. Be blessed. 🙏♥️✨
This sustenance stop brings back great memories for me, my now ex-hubby and our three kids, about the age your kids are now, did a lot of road trips around Australia, so much fun, we always stopped for food prep at the back of the car. We had to choose the food carefully, as no fruit, vegetables and honey, was allowed across the borders, still not allowed. Great memories. My kids are now all grown up, 2 are in their 50’s and the youngest in her late 40’s. We still laugh about all the mishaps and madness on the road, the great car games, like make up words from car rego numbers we passed on the road. I spy with my eye …. And also without gps and just large paper maps! The kids would keep turning the map round and round to try and find the right route! Lots of weird stuff about haunted accommodation. 😂🤣😂🤣 Your kids will be doing the same in years to come. Remembering road trips. Best way to travel. I was the camera person and have it all documented. Cheers. 👍 🇦🇺
welcome to colorful colorado thats where i live
Safe travels have fun
My problem was that the ignition could be heard through the radio! I tried a radio in the backseat, but couldn't afford all the batteries needed. Driving by myself, I did not think I would ever get across New Mexico and Arizona! Love your video, but never again for me! ❤❤
In and Out burgers are great but next time you are in Russellville find What-A-Burger. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
IM GLAD YOU GUYS ARE HAVING A GREAT SAFE TRIP. GOD BLESS LOVE YOU ANNAMAY ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing those views!! WOWZER---BEAUTIFUL.
Those burgers looked yummy!!
You look worn-out MEL. Get you some rest soon.
Love yall!! Hope your having a blast 🎉
All I can say is thank you for caring us alone. It’s been awesome views, and an awesome video. Thank you so much. I really enjoyed it as I’m sitting here on my porch in Houston Mississippi. …….Tiny Houston MS
Oh wow that Mountain View is so beautiful you guys travel safe and have a great time
sure alot of bird grinders down there. yes talken about the windmills.
Good morning from kenora Ontario Canada, traveling again "love tagging along" kiddies growth alot ❤
HELLO 🤗 what an awesome trip so far- we stay at Hiltons alot & so nice 😉 those burgers looked scrumptious 😋 safe travels 🙏🇺🇸🪻🌷
EastTexas is pretty with lots of green and big trees but still wide open spaces. I hope you don't have to drive anywhere near Dallas because the congestion there can really put you behind and mess you up. It really isn't until we'll west of Abilene before Texas gets like desert. New Mexico is a whole lot of nothing! Chris from Central Texas
I feel the same about p- terrys in south texas!
On my first road trip out west from Ohio, we drove into Texas around 1 am while my wife was sleeping. Suddenly, I saw tiny red lights popping up on the horizon, and they kept increasing in number. At first, I couldn't figure out what they were. However, as I got closer, I realized that they were the wind turbines!
Good Morning 😃
Thank you for sharing the journey it was nice seeing motel room. Very cool can believe you go such a yummy breakfast 😋 thats just fabulous.
We have in and out in texas
ya see I am like Gary I love to drive at night and over the night because I know the safety of my family is in my hands and need to keep them safe and because I work overnight for years it is not hard for me to do
Amazing time
