Just based off a theme I'm seeing with these Chinese mice, I'd turn down the polling rate from 8kz cuz you're probably not actually getting 8k. Mad R Major is supposedly 8k but its more like 5.5k. and yes I have tried it at 3200 dpi and 1600 dpi and 3200 reads around 4.9 - 5.1 on average. So it's just wasting resources for no reason. 2k usually seems to be spot on though.
I am torn in between getting Scyrox v8 or spending more for Lamzu Maya X. I know these are pretty different in shape but I dont know which I like more. The price difference is pretty saginificant and I dont know if I can justify getting Maya here or maybe I dont see something
@@Xevo234 yeah definitely two different mice when it comes to shape and on top of that almost double the cost of the Scyrox. Me personally especially if you’re like me and enjoy claw grip the V8 is a no brainer

@@Juantexe hmm for something like fortnite, that game can have its chaotic moments where you’re having to whip your camera very fast, depending on your sens the wire can be an issue if the whip in direction is too far in movement. Plus with the preference of claw grip I think both are stellar for that grip but with the V8 having more of an aggressive back hump you may prefer it over the OP1 8k’s less aggressive hump
@@Juantexe the OP1 8k though is an absolutely nuts mouse so if you have the chance to grab it from something like amazon or somewhere that offers a simple and easy return option I think it’s still definitely worth a try. But yeah if not an option than what I said above about the V8 would be best
From what ive seen, there are QC issues on the clicks, and tbh i dont think $80 is a budget option, not when you have attack shark, and VXE in the mix.
@@Mog780 i mean budget mice are always going to have QC issues, speaking of VXE i just got my replacement for the Mad R Major lol but again that’s also a budget mouse.
@@mjrmonkey Yeah it seems that its mostly coinflips as to the quality on an individual level. I have both a VXE R1 Pro Max and a Mad R and both are as good as my Lamzu or EGG mice.
@@Mog780 yeah just kinda comes with the territory of budget mice, it’s always a risk especially when ordering from the first initial batches. Kinda feels like the first batch is like an Open Beta for a game, you find the issues and when the second batch (full game) comes out it’ll be smoother
@@shansation3972 as I mentioned in the video i haven’t personally had any issues with the battery life. I think I haven’t charged it in like 3 days and still don’t need to. I should also preface that I turn it off as soon as I’m done with it.
@@mjrmonkey hmm, I don't turn mine off, expecting it to go to sleep so I'm still testing the battery life on mine (game mode on, 2000hz, motion sync) it drains like 25% in approx 2 hours of light use (work, zoom, 20 minutes of gameplay) and 5 hours of standby. So just trying to figure out if mine has a dud battery. With somewhat similar settings my mouse died on the 2nd day of not charging the day before on pretty much the same use case. over a 48 hour period.
@@shansation3972 got it, what I can do is I’ll check it out for the next couple of days and see what I get since i’ll be paying close attention to it and can let you know 👍🏼 With budget mice like this I don’t really ever expect the battery to be long lasting in terms of duration

@@mjrmonkey didn't see the reply, still got the v8 due to your video lol, sides are flatter than sora v2 (for me). But yeah the sora has the flatter hump. they are similar but the tiny differences change a lot in how each mice feels. cheers!

@@mjrmonkey I have mad major + already and Sora v2, looking to sell sora, thing that coating on Scyrox is better (have Scyrox on the way).. Mad major is like safe shape I think, I like the mice with better shapes and coating.. op1 8k is also Option cause of best coating..

@@Ruly_73 Yeah it’s just like any other mouse so since consoles have support for keyboard and mouse I think it would have no issues. Now i’m not sure if every console game supports M&K so you’ll have to look up the games specifically and see if they support that kind of thing
@@dummyacc6288 there is a little bit of side wobble on the main clicks, but if i’m being completely honest I guess it’s a bit expected with it being a budget chinese mouse. Not once has that bit of side wobble ever felt like it negatively impacted my experience.

I also bought this mouse, but I can't connect it in wireless mode. Even if I press the right, left and middle clicks, it doesn't light up yellow.
