Dr. Berg explains what “Organic” means and he emphasizes the importance of reading the product labels and assuring that foods are 100% certified organics by buying them in the farmer's market.
3 Basic Definitions:
1. Made with Organic Ingredients - It means 70% of the product has to be organic and 30% does not have to be organic and it could be GMO, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
2. Organic - 95% has to be organic and 5% could be GMO, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
3. 100% Organic - 100% has to be organic.

excuse me but i must state from an european farmers point of view : organic is a way of cultivating without pesticides and other synthetic inputs. it does not mean there are no traces of unwanted substances in the produce. it will depend on the environment, what still lingers in the soil, what your neighbours are putting in their cultures etc. the only thing we can guarantee is that we don't use pesticides and other chemicals. thank you for your videos!
I've literally seen the 100% organic farms that uses growhouses for all their products.
“Organic” and “grass fed “ are labels as defined by government. It pays to know what these labels actually mean.
Organic was only created when they created GMOs. Grassfed is not a government label

Stress, paranoia, & worry isn't what Dr Berg is trying for! Educating us to make better choices. Less/no boxed food. More fresh. I take my nutritional yeast, and do what I can. I try to let the stress go, and let my adrenals & immune systems do their jobs.
Everything can kill you. The important part is the dosage/content. Everything in moderation. Your body is always adapting and strengthening itself to exposed environmental stresses. If you are hospitalized/bed-ridden, you atrophy and waste away.. Your joints lose range of motion... Your become fragile. Why? You aren't stressing your muscles against gravy and moving your joints through any range of motion. Truth is, something is going to eventually kill you, diet is super low on that list if you're consuming healthy food in moderation. Stress is worse. A hungry bear chasing you is the worst. You'll be alright

Hi Dr. Berg. Alot of people who've listened to you over the years, trust you and your products. You don't have to spend the extra time and money to certify your products, because that cost will ultimately fall on us (consumers of your products). I'm sure most of us would rather you keep your costs down, cause we know your products are high quality anyway.
if everyone starts and keeps buying organic grass fed the price will go down plus force a shift in the market.

You still have to ask questions at some farmers markets. Our local one were selling full blown gmo eggs😱
Last time in my organic market I checked the ingredients in the cookies lot of sugar, corn sugar, fructose syrup and many more by the way the fructose syrup is organic ? I don't think so ! Organic doesn't mean good products all the time .

I grow my stuff , I grow all organic . Even my soil is organically ammended. Last grow season as weed control vinegar was used . Which by the way works pretty good at soil lvl pests too. As far as pesticide?? I used neem oil . No fertilizers. I used whats referres to as green manure .

Also Organic meats in stores usually means the animal was feed organic feed. Not what they naturally eat.
Dr. Berg Please take an initiative that will gather people who are interested to contribute to build an alternative industry to the existing chemical infested foods...
You should really take the lead on the Organic Industry worldwide by setting up proper and detail guidelines on how to establish organic farming in each country and choosing certified (by Dr. Berg) representatives in that region and eventually sharing the knowledge and building a network of people that are interested in organic farming only.
Building something alternative to deadly pesticide based firming, will certainly change the lives of the millions if we are organized enough. I can certainly represent mine and will do anything in my capacity to spread the message from influential to the masses...
Don't ignore just because it seems big from the outside...if you call out for an army there'll be one to make it happen and you'll be surprised.

A lot of product has mis-led labels here in Canada. Also because it is frigid for over 1/2 the year, having local organic produce is not possible. Frozen veg is better than a belly busting portion of pasta though so still do what you can with veg.
organic products locally grown is usually 100% organic (even though label does not say 100%). Chinese ones which claim organic are usually contaminated
@@Dharmicaction - yes - but it is very difficult to find locally grown anything (let alone organic) in the middle of January in Central Ontario Canada. It is normally about -30C at that time, several feet of ice & snow & everything that should be green is lifeless.
When I was younger, my dad would say go graze in the yard if you're hungry. Should have listened to my wise father !! lol

You have to pay to get your soil certified! For 5 years before you are allowed to say your stuff is Organic. Here in CANADA.

if your really worried about Pesticides on fruits and veg try some water with some detergent in there as pesticides that are used in agriculture are organic (chemically) the detergent will remove the surface level contaminates of pesticides if there is any and a rise in normal water will remove the aqueous contaminates.
I’ve only been shopping for foods with the green ‘USDA ORGANIC’ round logo for about 2 years now, and before that, I had gotten into the habit of reading ingredient labels for nutrients, additives, soy, and preservatives, so it does not surprise me anymore that you cannot just rely on the Organic logo anymore to be 100% organic.
I have noticed nowadays that when I pick up a certified organic food, that the ingredients would specify “organic ____,” for each ingredient, which I always found slightly irritating because it was so redundant. I always thought, ‘if it was labeled certified organic, then why did each ingredient have to say organic before that item?”
Now, after watching this video, I understand why. It’s because other products might use the word organic, but not be 100% according to the ingredient list.
Unfortunately, in 2013, the National Organics Program, which runs the USDA ORGANIC labeling, now allows for Synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, irradiation, and genetic engineering to be included in its “certified organic” products, with a 5 year grace period.
Then, if two-thirds of the organics standards board does not vote a particular item off the inclusion list, it may be allowed indefinitely. This makes the USDA Organic label now largely tainted, even if better than conventional farms and agriculture, so nothing will be truly 100% even if labeled as such.
At present, organic farmers are now seeking to create their own label, in addition to the compromised, federally regulated USDA Organic logo.
But anyway, oh wow this is some scary news nowadays. I’m just 28, first time really being in a world where everything is corrupted.
Maybe I’ll seclude into some undisturbed tribe or clan deep in the corners of the world where I can live off the land and just get away from the modern world.
What’s the point of all the gadgets, TVs, movies, toys, rides, if we don’t even have the basic freedom to control what we put in our bodies? Why do we follow regulating bodies which monopolize and control?
So sad...I don’t want to have to think about these things at my age, much less the future generations. Is it really enough to exist based on the status quo? Depend on what’s been given to us? I’d rather make life my own to live.

Justine Durfee I'm glad somebody did. But in all honesty we have to pay more attention to the labels. I just saw in my kitchen that I have something's that are organic and others that are a 100% organic.

How do you know if the farmers market produce is different then what's at the store?
Very difficult to find organic in my area. Recently watched a Dave Ramsey video where a farmer owed $100,000 on a chemical bill. That's a lot of chemicals being sprayed on our food.
I wonder where the intersection between food and food-like products go.
Is there actual labeling of 70%, 95% for organics?

dr.berg my total cholesterol is 369.3 mg dl my trigs are 61.0 mg dl..my hdl is 65.5... and the LDL CHOLESTEROL IS 312.5 MG DL IS THAT A BAD CHOLESTEROL OR IS GOOD.
Does soaking and washing veggies and fruits in seasalt or acv reduce the pesticide , infectiside , herbiside effect ??? Bcoz i live i saudi arabia and there are very few options of "organics"

This classification only applies in the US. In most other places, organic means organic.

Yes but 100% organic is a mono crop with its own sprays which are dangerous as well.
Sadly there is little oversite or enforcement of organic claims.

10 years ago 90% of "organic" was grown in the US or Canada, with around 85% passing FDA testing. Today 90% is shipped from China which does not adhere to organic quality requirements. ALWAYS CHECK SOURCE: China is full of pesticides, Mexico is filled with echericia coli, while US/Candace continues to pass 85% of "organic" requirements (per Jeff Rene interview with former organic gamer turned 20+ year veteran of US FDA quality ag tester)

“Organic” is only as good as the integrity and followed processes that the inspectors follow.. The truth of the matter is there is a lot of fraud within the organic foods industry. Therefore we never know how “organic” our food is. The only way to truly know is to grow your own food.
