These kids knew where the pieces fit.
That bassist, the drummer!!!! THE VOCALSSSSS ❗❗❗🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad you enjoyed it!
Literally
id like to point out the bassist is play a 5 string
sick!
Kid on the drum is a LEGEND!!!!
A band like Toto should make Lily their next drummer in a few years.
As a professional musician I have a sharp ear for music. That said these kids are phenomenal. Tool is no joke to cover. Complicated musical score, exotic time signatures, difficult time changes and these kids nailed it all. This was an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to.
A real upperdeck comment. Thanks for sharing, Cheers. 🎸 🎹 🎵
@@raymondjean1195like shitting in the tank? I don't think I agree with you but I definitely see where you're coming from.
When is one of these kids going to teach me to play a instrument, they make it seem so easy 😅
Vocals aren’t even comparable. But sure as a critic it’s a perfect cover
@@dschrads13 Comparable to what? To Maynard? That's kind of asking a lot, he's in a class of his own.
Personally I think they didn't stray enough. Covers should be about taking a song and making it your own with your own style. Tool already made Schism and it's amazing, if you're going to cover it then it should be done in your style, with your voice, and feel, and sound, or whatever. Covers that just copy the original are boring and serve no purpose other than to show that you can do it.
That being said they're kids and they did do their own thing somewhat. It's really impressive considering their age, I'm not dogging on them for that at all. Hopefully as they grow and find their own voice they can refine it into something special and unique. We don't need more copies, we need something new.
The girls vocals blend perfectly, yet each is strong on their own. As usual, the music is perfect…nice job guys, there are stars in the making here!
The person singing was my intern for school of rock camp heh
Give the mixing guy a raise
I don't know why, but I was moved. It's a beautiful thing to see a group of very young people playing a piece that is so difficult to perform and doing it so wonderfully. Way to go
This cover slaps and everyone crushed it, but I just want to shout out young Danny Carey on the drums!
Sydney's playing in this was SUPERB, holy crap. Everyone was great, but I was just gobsmacked by the bass. Well done, truly.
thank you :)
@@sydneypollack9776 Thank you for that wonderful rendition of Schism! And keep at it - you're already a great bassist, and I can only see you getting better as you go. :)
The O'Keefe Music Foundation's cover of 46&2 and now this. Why are some of the best Tool covers out there done by groups of children?
Great cover! Surprised this doesn't have more views yet.
Right,they're so pure,raw,unswayewd,the best!
Both vocalists are extraordinary great. The bass player carried this song, and is out of this world
thank you! :')
Bass players are so under appreciated. Look at John Paul Jones of Led Zep. One of the greatest of all time, and Page & Plant get all the recognition. Not that they weren’t great in their own right
@@sydneypollack9776 have you continued on with your amazing bass playing career?
Good point the rhythm section prob most difficult roles to cover with Tool right besides everything else of course, but from a covering standpoint that’s where your timing is drawn from right?
I love whenever a tool cover is performed on this channel!🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
That bass player holy crap sounds so on point in tempo and sound
HOT DAMN...! Any self respected Tool fan has to appreciate this!
Without question
Awesome! Love the female vocals on this and that Drummer! Holy cow! Rhythm and Bass was on point!! Everyone did such an amazing job!
this is unbelievably good. Bassist is badass for playing Tool so well
I just saw Tool last week in Charlotte and they closed with this song. This band was really tight and Tool is not an easy group to cover. Great job!
Bravo, y'all! What a fantastic performance this is, kids, all of you. Special shout out to Ms. Lily on the drums and Ms. Sydney on the bass for slaying that song!
Drummer kills it!
More of that bass player please!!!
Biggest thing that stood out to me, I don't think people know how tricky it can be to nail this this well
GREAT JOB TO ALL ! RHYTHM SECTION IS TIGHT ! AS A FELLOW BASS PLAYER, THIS YOUNG LADY IS AWESOME. GREAT TONE & timing. SUPERB VOCAL BLEND....GUITARS CUT !!...AGAIN , GREAT JOB TO ALL !
How good the bassist is, loving it
The look on her face at 6:00 - you know what she's feeling. Killing it. Awesome performance.
As I said; The young people know what good music is. Thanks a lot for this !
There is no such thing as good or bad music, just music. It's all subjective. Just because you may not like X, that doesn't make X bad, and vice-versa.
@@Nathan-oe8ut That's right Nathan. Every piece of music has its right to exist.
Covering Tool is a monumental task. Gratz.
Damn that bass player is f****** rocking
all i can say is wowwwwwww, Tool you never not be covered when guys and girls are doing it this well and at this age, awsome job guys/girls
Cannot unsee Danny's miniature on drums
Among the best Schism Covers I've ever heard. The overall song execution was insane.
This is one of the best covers this song. These kids did a hell of a job doing this song.
How incredible those teachers must be to put such cool acts together from random kids!
This is what music is all about. What a monster.
I never saw a better teacher as this. I am a teacher.
This is a good mans work. This is the best result of us all.
Definately love how the girls vocals worked together!
They just make it sound so awesome. Very impressive.
Drummer's absolutely amazing.
Tough song to play with the time signatures used. Amazing job!
Classic cover,yeah,awesome!
These School of Rock Allstar bands keep getting better and better. Awesome job!😎
Amen, these kids are awesome
Just awesome. Covering Tool, especially this tune, takes some serious chops. These kids have it in spades! Everyone stands out; the drummer and bass player lay down a perfect groove. Those vocals are haunting. And that guitar tone....all of it is perfect.
The bassist is bloody on point! Y’all are great.
The singer in the jeans brings to mind Janis Joplin.
These really are AllStars. Tool requires you to stay in well defined pockets and these kids fulfilled the assignment and then some. I knew we were in for greatness as soon as the bass started picking. But everyone here is hitting it with greatness. Tool grooves are not easy to stay on... Wow!
It amazes me the way this generation has embraced the music of my generation and perform it so well!!
As a long time Tool fan, having listened to their songs over and over, and heard them live twice, I can say this is a decent cover for sure. All the musicians here did well, but I give a praise to the Bassist (Sydney) who stood out right away, and the drummer (Lily) who kept those drums moving even when the vocalists started to slow the tempo towards the end.
I did like the homage to Maynards stage performance by the lead vocalist with the shirt awkwardly placed, it definitely had a Maynard vibe to it.
All around its great to see kids want to perform these songs.
Excellent harmony vocals, strings with special shout out to Bass good job Sydney and that Lily on the Sticks.
💗
They do well, it was great to see them enjoying the song
You know they nailed it when when the goosebumps get ya. 👍👌🤘👏👏
would love to hear the girls do a mastadon tune, not an easy song by any count but played so well and i'm pretty sure the base player and drummer are tool fans
Excellent!!
The dedication to perform this so well is impressive.
Masterful! Every person in this groups was flawless. The drummer was a standout, though; for someone to play a Danny Carey part like this is amazing. Actually, for all of these great young musicians to absolutely nail a Tool song is amazing. The timing changes and other complex characteristics of this music have to be challenging for any of the parts. This entire group played this song perfectly; very impressive.
Somebody give a jersey to the drummer, nailed it
The drums are so tight!! It all sounds amazing, you know it’s good when you get that same feeling you get from the original song! ❤
Excited to see this 🤘🤘🤘👍🏻
Great job guys, especially the drummer !!!
Hey another Leonard! Cool
Wowwwwwww! Amazing performance, especially that rhythm section! CRUSHING those time changes, literally not missing a beat!
The thing about this song is not only is it performed to be exact, the instruments all sound like there respective counterparts... The bass sounds exact, the guitars but especially the drums which is super difficult to pull off.. The more I listen to this, the more I love it...
I'd love to hear you guys ( this group of kids in particular) do a version of STARGAZER from Rainbow featuring Ronnine James Dio on vocals and Ritchie Blackmoore on guitar. I think you guys would nail it. Thank you and keep Rocking!!!!!!!!!!
This was great! I think we have a budding Tal Wilkenfeld in our midst.
Love it! What a foundation with Sydney and Lily! Rock Solid!
☮️🤘🤙
This School of Rock stuff is unreal and amazing stuff.
Wow. Another Tool masterpiece in the creation.
Great song, amazing vocals and fantastic musicians !
thank you so much ❤
This is insane good by these young people
Garth on the drums!
Excellent job! Unique take with female vocals. Hope they had fun!
Very talented young people❤️
Wow!! Excellent talent!! Tool fan for decades. Sigh❤
Outstanding!! Keep up the Great Work! From Adelaide, South Australia!!
As a longtime Tool fan, this is mindblowing ❤ incredible
Awesome 😊🎉❤
I like that they keep rocking and jamming. Hope all the hours payoff.
Lots of covers out there of this song. This one is in the top 7 IMO. Keeping it true to the nature of the song. Every musician here contributed their own set just like the band members of Tool. Vocals, check. Bass (5-string!-Check), guitar riffs, check, and of course the drums!(WOW). CHECK! Great performance!
Schism is one of my favorite tool songs !
Same. The Pot & Sober are also.
Wow!!!! They killed it! I wonder if Maynard and the guys have seen this
Just watched Rick Beato analyzing this brilliant peace of music and how complex the construction of different time signatures is and just right after that I see your students nailing it, this is very cool! Beautiful vocals and the sound of the snare is just on point! Chapeau! ❤️🍻
I saw that same Beato video. These young people do a great job of handling the complexity. Great job all around.
thank you so much ❤
@@SamanthaWallace You’re welcome 😉🍻
Now that's one of the best covers I've ever seen
Spot on Cover. Thank You to the Great Youth... for Rockin' this out! The Pieces definitely fit!
Damned.. I don't know what they feed these kids...but guys, i want it too.
great job all of you....especially drum and bass
You always get me with tool.
And while we are at it, could you also perform "the pot" pretty please?
Who are you to wave a finger...?
That would be cool!
Tool Army approve this…outstanding
the drummer killed it!
WOW!!!
I love this performance, the energy the singer is showing is amazing
Love from India to all wonderful Artists
Just F**kn WOW! Ur awesome!
The drummer had Danny's part tight, Bass Player awesome playing
Excellent job all, that was pretty flawless. The sound on the live performances is improving, my only knock on this recording would be the mic-ing of the drum set. Keep on rocking and look forward to seeing all of you perform in the future!
That was awesome! Great job on this song. I've always loved this one from Tool and you guys nailed it! I'm sooooo looking forward to becoming a student at School of Rock!
Awesome all around, so much talent and the hard work shows.
Pure talent. Rock on.
I was smiling the entire video, I enjoyed it a lot.
officially the most badass performance by the School of Rock band!!
🤩
Great job.
I have to say that while this is definitely not my style of music (yeah, I’m too old! I prefer 60s and early 70s rock), these young people are amazing! The amount of talent the School of Rock puts out just blows me away, especially the All Stars! Great job youngsters!
So happy that you enjoyed it!
You're too old for Tool? 😭 if you like Pink Floyd I'd highly recommend you listen to Tool.
Not my era but it's cool to see the singers exulting in the tune and performing well. Everybody rising to the challenge
So, you know, is that drummer *related* to Danny? I mean, she *looks* like him! Man, loved this. 😀 Well done!
FANTASTIC , what a treat for the ears, keep it up young rockers
I LOVED LOVED LOVED...🎸💀👽🎸💀👽🎸💀👽
Yeah - that’s a very difficult song - great job!
I like this one. It is not often you hear a cover of a Tool song. Nice job gang, as always
I’m 66….. and this is the bomb! 🇨🇦🤘🤘
I am 77...and this is really great
This is sick! Well done!
