Ive Had all sizes through my years , but the 8s take so little room and sound good with ALL music .
Great video. I’ve always preffered the sound of 8” subs over 10s or 12s. I started running four 8 free airs back in the 90s and had to explain the whole series/parallel wiring thing many times. Thanks for showing 8s are still good option.

Sky High wire is enormous. The regular 1/0 OFC is really 3/0 Welding size. I went to my local Auto parts store, Economy Auto, took a piece of wire in there to size it for some copper lugs and the 3/0 Welding lugs ended up fitting perfect.
I honestly got confused on the wiring of the sub's part at first and then fully comprehood what ya meant by wiring them in series to 4 ohms per group and then down to 2ohms all together
Yep. 8's kick hardest. 4 of those with one 12 in the backseat of an "extended" ranger is insane! I no longer have the truck but I still have the tinnitus.

Seems like the 2nd and 4th position subs have a lot of surround deformation compared to 1 and 3 from the slow motion footage.
Probably the 2 used subs that have broken in surrounds. He was xmax'n them hard.

It is the internal wiring causing more power to be sent to two of the four subwoofers because of the series parallel wiring.
