Ashwagandha Supplement
amzn.to/3lVS2WO
Ashwagandha side effects are real and you should know of them. A lot of people ask is ashwagandha safe or is ashwagandha good for you.
Ashwagandha side effects are that it:
Lowers the blood sugar level
Decreases blood pressure
Alters thyroid hormone level
May increase symptoms of autoimmune diseases
What is ashwagandha and how to take ashwagandha
Ashwagandha, also known as Withania somnifera, is a small woodsy plant with yellow flowers native to India and North Africa. You may have heard of it as an adaptogen,as it’s believed to help your body manage stress better and is overall best known for its stress-lowering effects. The name ashwaganda is from the sanskrit language, and is a combination of the word ashva, meaning horse, and gandha, which means smell. The root has a strong aroma that is described as horse like. Scientific studies have suggested that ashwagandha might be beneficial for a number of conditions.
How to take ashwagandha correctly
So with all that said, how is it supposed to be taken? There is no standard dosage based on modern clinical trials, but the study that looked at its use for stress, the patients took 300 mg twice a day after food. Other studies have used much higher dosages, and some products contain up to 1.95 grams, so keep in mind to always follow the directions on the label for whichever supplement you take.
Is ashwagandha safe
Keep in mind that ashwagandha root is not for everyone especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an autoimmune disease, type 1 diabetes, and hashimotos thyroiditis. It also interacts with some medications used for diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid, and benzodiazepines.
It can also affect certain lab tests too, so talk to your doctor about not taking it before lets say you go in for a thyroid function test.
Is stress necessary?
When we can adapt to stress, we perform better and feel better even though there are many things out there that are stressing us out. But its not stress that is the problem, When you’re stressed, your adrenal gland releases the stress hormone cortisol, which then energizes you to tackle an emergency and get things done to protect you like running away from angry bear or bird, or even help you turn in your assignments on time. But too much stress that is too often is usually bad for our bodies and is classified as chronic stress, which we don’t want. Whether or not ashwagandha helps you, it is important to seek help when you need it and look for additional methods to tackle down chronic stress.
Is ashwandha good for you?
Many products that contain ashwagandha have lead to harm so it is very important that before you try any of these supplements to discuss it with your doctor first.

I've taken it for about a week now because I've been having bad anxiety. I felt amazing afterwards. All my stress vanished and I was able to sleep well again.
Same, I took 1 pill 750 mg a day with 5% withanolide. And you ?
What brand do you take?
Ashwaganda gave me palpitations cause I kept taking it too long, made me hyperthyroid
What do you mean by palpitations? Ectopic heart beats which feel like there’s an extra or skipped heart beat, or just a stronger, more noticable, or faster heartbeat? I want to take this, but I suffer from anxiety from ectopic heart beats and reading your comment makes me a bit more sceptical towards taking it… could you please elaborate on this?
Also, did you notice any positive effects next to your heart palpitations? Thank you in advance!
@@Ruktiet I took it for a year or more, didn’t know your supposed to take breaks cause it slowly raises your thyroid T3. Dr Andrew Huberman PHD said it also messes with your hormones and make you not feel pleasure as well cause it lowers dopamine or something I forgot. For those wondering how often to take, go by dose directions and always cycle your herbal supplements. Take one month and off a month. They work synergistically better for you.
Most herbs are better tolerated this way, cycling them and not constantly taking them. Also one herb may work great for someone, while that same herb may not work as good for another, but you can find one that may for the same reason with results. It also takes time for them to work, they arnt harsh medicines.

Such a great point. I’m currently really stuck in a tough spot because my body is chemically dependent on Xanax that was prescribed to me by a doctor with absolutely no warnings of negative side effects. I want to get off but terrified of the withdrawals, even having missed a couple days before I’ve been almost non-functional :( Of course I did my own research a bit, but your point stands that it’s messed up that Doctors aren’t intent on educating their patients on the risks of pharmaceuticals as much as any medical professional is forced to do with non-FDA approved supplements.

The brand I take (NutriRise) says to take on an empty stomach 20 minutes before eating. I have taken it first thing every morning for the past two or three years. At first I couldn't tell it was doing much, then I ran out and forgot to order for them. In three or four days after running out I was very much aware of exactly how beneficial Ashwagandha is. I haven't let myself forget to order it since. Like any supplement it takes a week or so for you to feel any effects and, as in my case, the changes are so gradual you don't even realize it's happening. Gone are stress and anxiety, I have a killer immune system, reduced inflammation, just an overall feeling of wellbeing. I am so happy to see the word being spread on this ancient herb!
How did you intake those 3 capsules every day they honestly taste like crap

The bottom line is that it is an herb, try it out, just as safe as ginseng except not as taxing on the adrenal glands. @@jeuxace so far i haven’t seen much yet, I have a very stressful job as a field adjuster that I’m about to quit… I have made a decision that my life is more important than money and I want to find happiness
@@miguelsandoval8203 That’s right bro u got this!! Fuck that job it might all seem hectic on looking for another job and shit but ur mental health is more important I to recently quit my job , I would wake up with my heart pounding of anxiety at liek 5 am totally not worth my energy. But ayyy brotha u got this u ain’t ever alone!
@@jeuxace did you ever find a job that made you happpy?
@@miguelsandoval8203 I don’t think any job will make me “happy” until I’m fully working for myself. I know we as humans think we’re supposed to be happy all the time but that’s not the reality of it there’s a time for work and a time for play and maybe we have to sacrifice things sometimes to be able to play later it sucks we have shitty jobs to start with but shit maybe that’s what ur story of life needs u know ur not gonna be working there the rest of ur life and that’s what life’s telling u right now that u gotta figure something out even if it’s the smallest hobbie it could change everything even working out or healthy food can impact our energy and behavior trust me bro I hate going to work I quit and I’ve just been sittin on some saved money but ima make something happen we just gotta keep believing. Maybe smoke a joint here and there to clear ur mind lol or just work out break a sweat that always helps me focus and relax but ayy bro I’m still here same as u trynna figure out what am I gonna do all my life cause fuck working all day and night is sad
I haven't found 300mg twice a day to do much of anything. On days I know are likely to be stressful at work I take as much as 3g 3 times/day. Also seems to be a sleep aid if not taken too late in the day.
Extract or powder?
25k+... Thanks Dr Arsalan
I regret why I take it recently. It was so effective make me new person again
It definitely helps with anxiety, but even one dose made me not give a fuck about anything, it made me more depressed and stopped taking care of myself. I think it work’s differently on people for sure
The speaker does not come to the point; the information wanders all over the place. I don't have the patience for his fast-talking hot air. Maybe I need some ashwagandha.
You just show you are good speaker
Ashwagandha boosts the immune system. I used to be able to take it, but as my auto immune condition worsens the herb gives me immediate negative feedback. That's what made me go look it up and find that immune-boosting factor. Bummer.
4:54 because pharma companies are SOOOO accountable
