0:25 ashwagandha
1:04 rhodiola rosea pre-workout
3:10 ashwagandha dosage/cycling (200mg)
4:58 Indonesian tongkat-ali (400mg daily, early in the day)
6:10 fadogia agrestis - increases luteinizing hormone (300-600mg daily)
fadogia and tongkat no need for cycling
no estrogen/testosterone=no libido
HERO. Thanks!
I think he said in 3:10 that is 25-50mg-not 200mg
What do you mean, no need for cycling
no need for cycling means
Can confirm, Rhodiola Rosea works day #1. I used this stuff to get through stressful work days with a dog-shit co-worker. The only reason I stopped taking it was because I was worried it was making me nauseous or causing muscle cramps. Looking back on it, some extra hydration and a magnesium increase would have done the trick, but that person was fired and I didn't retry RR. I just remember feeling a positive difference pretty quick, unlike Ashwaghanda, don't have the patience for it yet.
Gosh I’m just loving content. Learn so much from both Andrew and Tim over the years, Having a wee chuckle at this one, have to re listen now bugger it, he he. 😂❤
Great content!
I love ashwaganda, good stuff
It would be nice if your channel made Playlists of the clips taken from full episodes.
Thanks
@@B.E.C.K. Andrew Huberman has detailed timestamps
This is really interesting, because I have been taking ashwagandha 1,200mg daily in the morning along with a 7 mushroom complex (Chaga 300mg, Lion's man 300mg, Cordyceps 300mg, maitake 300mg, Reshi 300mg and Shiitake 300mg) for a month now, I feel great, better than before, my sleep is better, my exercise output and muscle growth has improved, I work daily in the mornings either weight training or cardio session. My mood and focus has also improved massively including just being able let stress go without holding onto it. My experience ashwagandha seems to be the opposite of what Dr. Huberman stated. I will need to try it the other way round as well perhaps take Rosea in the mornings, I used to take it but haven't for awhile, I believe Rosea tablets used to be given to Soviet soldiers to help them deal with stress.
6 years ashwahganda of 500mg no issues i decided to come off for a week and i hit a platue in the gym jumped back on and boom hitting pr's on every lift
I need that 🙋♀️
In episode 102 Dr Huberman says he cycles Fadogia at 1:25:30 here at 8:20 he says he never has. I wonder which is true and why he’s said both.
Recommendations included :
200mg rhodiola rosea 30-60 mins before workout
Tongat ali (Indonesian one) : frees testosterone, increase energy, 400mg a day single or divided dose with or without food, early in the day.
Fidosia agrestis: increase testosterone output in testes, 300-600mg per day with or without food anytime of day. Also increases testicle size and density.
Thank you!

Is there an interaction between St. John's wort (900 mg) and Rhodiola? Could there be a risk of even mild serotonin syndrome?
Can use cpd choline with rodiola
Ashwaghanda and tongkat Ali are life changers. Solaray is a good brand.
Nah full of binders fillers etc
Strange i bought rosea a week ago and this came up nice
What about the use of rhodiola for adhd? I was suggested to take it but wondering about it loosing its effectiveness over time. Would a lower dose used daily be a better idea maybe 50 mg?
you might as well try it for two weeks imo
try out keto diet, I am over two weeks in and is working better then any supplements i tried and belive me I tried a lot, also you want to explore dr le grand peterson's channel as well as do dopamine detox and you ll be thriving
It has become evident to me that Tim could easily rival Ken Jennings in Jeopardy. Haven't watched Jeopardy in who knows how long, but I'll tune in for that one!
In the Four Hour Body, Tim talks about ingesting a minimum of 30gm of protein within 30 minutes of waking up. While Andrew talks how ideally we should not eat anything within the first hour (or longer) of waking up. How does one resolve this?
There are many years between that book and what dr huberman saying. As you know science gets better with time.
I guess both have different benefits and adaptations to your body/metabolism, it depends on your goals, for example if you seek hypertrophy, better to have protein as much fractionated throughout the day as possible. Not a doctor, this is just my understanding of those different approaches by Tim, Huberman and many more.
The rationale behind both is similar: not eating carbohydrates early leads to higher cortisol in the morning and increased brain noradrenaline, dopamine and focus. It’s exactly the same rationale that’s behind intermittent fasting or carb backloading. The only difference is that if you are ingesting protein you slightly heighten insulin which lowers cortisol slightly, but it also gives your muscles nutrients to build and your brain AAs to make neurotransmitters. In the end if you only consume protein in the morning, the body is going to use it as fuel for energy production though, so Tim’s suggestion I find rather outdated but definitely not hurting, could even be a way of giving the brain fuel without spiking insulin.
Whatever feels good and right for you
I’d so go for what’s best for you but fasting in my opinion is best - at least the first half hour
I took ashwagandha 500mg for a year, I am coming off kratom so I cannot tell if it has done harm
Not a word on Bulgarian tribulus terrestris?! Check it out, you're missing out big time.
Adaptodengs and RCs big brain time
Dont forget to ad long jack and tribulus to the stack!
Longjack and tongkat are the same
So we are all different obviously, before u take any advice from anyone u should get to know your own body. Blood tests are a good start. And your own feelings. Some things work for some and not for others. I can tell u for me , example , lions mane does wonders for my irritabilty. Im not too concerned about how many trials have been done because it worked for me!
Just a question, are you not worried about side effects ?
@@soufiane6873 side effects of what? I think natural medicine has far less side effects than prescription drugs! Mushrooms are wonderful! Look into the benefits and what adaptogens are!
@@soufiane6873 what side effects? I can tell you if theirs any it's nothing like antidepressant side effects
What did better after lion mane mushroom? @@taniamariani7064
On a short term basis some adaptogens seem to help but on a longer term unless you're using a pharmaceutical grade low dose i really believe the harm is greater than the good. For example, W. Somnifera is readily sold in two different forms. Sensoril and Ksm-66. If i were going to use one of the two I'd pick sensoril. The withaferin-A is cytotoxic to certain cancer cells and sensoril is more potent than KSM-66. There's so many different herbal stimulants that they like to call adaptogens instead. I tried R. Rodiola around 2009-10. And I made sure i was getting Siberian and not the lesser versions. I wasn't sleeping much then and it helped relax me some but realistically it is complete garbage compared to just going to a physician and getting a prescription and being under the supervision and care of a qualified physician. A better diet, some exercise, and drinking water helps probably more than any of the premium supplements I tried. I don't really have anything negative to say about cordyceps mushrooms but before I threw a lot of money at that I'd probably spend a lot of time reviewing what might actually be the root problem and being proactive about my findings.
Avacado pits!!!!! Bahahahahah died here
"It's going to depend on where you start"
Andrew, given your scientific qualifications and credentials, how can you suggest TA and FA when there is hardly any evidence to their efficacy? Studies that have been undertaken are small and problematic.
What is your opinion of rhodiola rosea? Is it a good adaptogen?
aswell as turkesterone, 0 human studies
TA has multiple human trials, and double-blind placebo controlled studies. Small participant groups, and obviously room for improvement, but the studies show results.
However, bigger studies are important to uncover side-effects.
I've taken a lot of supplements suggested by Andrew and everyone one of them has been a complete waste of time and money!
Lmfao
OK Ivan.
So you buy and use supplements on your own based on a youtube video/podcast. If you're not a nutricionist or Doctor, you should look for one to have better results Ivan, Huberman doesn't know you neither your clinical exams
Lol
That's on you 💀 clinical trials say it works and it works for me
rodeo? oh always yea
Rhodiola rosea
Rhodiola rosea harvesting is not good for the environment
Well umm, we are all born from environment, die from environment, it’s capacity to sustain and and all is phenomenal. Don’t underestimate universal phenomena. That said, is there a Rodeo somewhere?
Tell us why
We are the environment boy, im gonna be with my gas mask slurping on my dorito puree through a tube watching netflix in a radioactive wasteland
Neither is 6.4 HEMI, but man that shit sounds good 😂😂
I starting to think this guy is just trying to sell more of his products
there's probably a little good in these products but probably little overrated
