Two simple, quick techniques for modelling two different types of battle damage against an armoured vehicle. Maybe you could use it to fill a boring part of your model with an interesting detail, or perhaps you would like to do something that's been shot to hell...either way, maybe this'll help.
Audio seems a little off due to noise reduction filter...been picking up a lot of background noise lately after upgrading to Windows 7, but it also records much clearer. weird. either way, enjoy the video thanks for watching.

Clear and concise guide, thank you.
I loved the way the ink spread into the previous detailing.
I also noticed at the 4:30ish mark, that you mixed your paint with your fine detail brush. I happened to catch a guide the other week where it was pointed out that this could damage your brushes, and to use an old brush for mixing, and a good brush for painting. Which I considered a good tip, and one worth passing on ;)

@Lexesbenz thats a pretty good tip actually. it would do a similar job to the heated nail, and probably smell nice too. I don't know whether you could use it to do directional stuff though as I had to press quite hard...do you think the incents stick would break?

@redgreen09 I think I know what you're getting at..... but how do you fix the soot down afterwards to stop it getting rubbed off?
