- Breaking Bourbon gave the 2023 Michter's 10 Rye a perfect 5/5 score, and now the secondary market is going crazy for it. Does the whiskey actually deserve the hype?

I have 23H2896 I grabbed two of them late fall. Immediately thought it was all time. Glad the review came out to back me up

I have a 22 I that I trouble enjoy for a low proof high flavor pour. Don’t have any others to compair side to side. Thanks for the fantastic line up and information
I find it interesting how Michter's chill filters all of their whiskeys, while many others prominently display non-chill filtered on their labels. I read an interview where Andrea Wilson at Michter's essentially said it allows them to highlight the more subtle characteristics of the whiskey that would be masked by the long-chain esters removed during filtration. Cool how Michter's has followed their own path and created some really great juice!
I reviewed the michters 10 bourbon and rye awhile back for 2023 and I said then the rye was better now to be fair it wasn’t bourbon barrel A or rye barrel H but let’s be honest the rye is always good the bourbon is sometimes absolutely crap for the price year by year

It definitely opens up nicely. I have a 23 M10 rye and first two tastings were just ok but then after some air time … wow; it turned into a premium whiskey and now I’m nursing that bottle lol.
Hard to compare open bottles to neck pours?
I have a 2021 M10 rye and find it to be fantastic. Wish i could find a 2023

Can you tell what’s the best bourbon lovers Rye brand and batch in your experience that’s not absolutely crazy expensive?
This sounds stupid but do a mellow corn review. You are so detailed and descriptive. it makes me feel like I’m drinking the whiskey with you. I just want to see what magic you could do with a meme bottle like that. Btw I’m a mellow corn appreciator I’m not clowning on it. Have a good night.

@@DrumsAndDrams it is. Ironic I found it in a local small town store in upstate NY while visiting family for holidays. I would be happy to swap samples. I currently don’t have any sample bottles, but can order some. Let me know if there’s a better way to connect on this.
Just went and checked my bottle and it is an H! No wonder why I like it better than my D batch 10yr Bourbon…

Had the chance to grab the 2023 recently but 260 just didnt feel like a fair price. Plus the proof is so low so questioned how good it would be. 😊

Haha I appreciate that! No, but I have been teaching for about 12 years outside of performing as a musician, and I find that teaching and reviewing whiskey have a lot of commonalities with communication styles etc
