I simply LOVE YOU!!❤ and your expressions. You are harlariou 😂., and your bag is beautiful!! You do have excellent style in fabric and patterns. I am a new subscribers here to stay!! You've made my day😂😊
Thank you so much, what a lovely comment. I can't take much credit for style in fabric as a lot of it arrives in my Sew Hayley Jane subscription boxes. But that's very kind of you to say. So glad I make you smile, there definitely should be more smiling in the world 😁😘
@JuanitathesewingTrex oh thank you so much 😊. He is a cutie and I love making the teeny tiny clothes...even if I did put the collar on back to front. I must get cracking and make him some trousers, for decency sake 😄 😆
Great video, always love your vibe! OMG you did make me laugh when you said about putting on a gathered skirt!😂Love all the makes. Would love to see you use the shirtdress pattern, I have the same one but I didn't buy the correct size so by the time I had adjusted/graded everything I could have drafted my own pattern! Also, the Rosa Clair dress. will look great, enjoy all the gathering! xxxx
Hi, thank you so much 😅. Honestly, I've still got flashbacks to that awful gathered skirt 😱. I decided not to make that shirt dress pattern, as I've got a very similar dress, which I'm still not sure of. I'm making one from a different pattern, bit looser, which hopefully will suit me better. But....again I got distracted by pretty fabric, so my sewing plans went out the window...again 🤦♀️😂
That's so kind! So glad you are enjoying the vlogs and I make you laugh, there should be more laughing in the world. I so love my sewing and the ideas and I love to share it. x
@stash_stitcher thank you so much. I was so pleased with Hugh, I'm not sure I got the instructions for his little face right, but he looks okay. I love the Luna Lapin creatures and my collection is growing 🥰😍
@stash_stitcher they are very addictive! I visited the shop in May. I was standing there, arms full of kits for clothes, kits for a deer, a raccoon and a polar bear wondering what a 65 year old lady was doing with all these little creatures. Then I thought "she's enjoying herself" 😅😅😅😅. My partner has his model trains, I have my Luna Lapin team 🥰🥰🥰🥰😘😘
@@pinkderdlesews I'm so with you. I've made one Sheila Sheep and 6 Alfie rabbits and one Luna Lapin. I met Sarah Peel at one of the stitch festivals and she signed her book for me and I've been hooked ever since. Enjoy them! 😃❤️
@@alisonlowrie7220 thank you so much. I'm so pleased with it and was lucky I had so much help from Jenny Stitches with the fabric. I think it took longer to cut out than to sew 😅🤣. Enjoy making your bag 😘
@SistasofStitchcraft thank you so much. I just love you two, the banter is brilliant. I got the info about the tech from a video by @seqingirlie! What a brilliant community to be in 😁🥰😍
I love your videos! You’ve done great work. I’ve made the McCalls shirt dress recently with the slimmer skirt, but chose to flare the skirt to an A line shape and I loved it. Make note of the back gathers. I didn’t like those, so I chose to put in darts. I’ll be playing around more with this pattern, but I really liked the finished dress. Happy sewing! 💖
Thank you so much. Good to hear that you made that McCalls pattern. I was thinking of altering the skirt to give it a bit more flare, so hearing how you did it is very encouraging, thank you. And thanks for the tip about the gathers, you are a star 😘
Great video, Kay. Thank you. All your plans are great. I can't wait to see them made up. Great t-shirts.Love your cargo pants, and your blouse is gorgeous. 😊
@bridgetwhite5547 thank you so much 💗. I love my blouse too, it was a lot of work but so worth it. And as for my plans...well I'm already adding in other things I'd like to sew 😁😁😁
@elainehobbs thank you that's great to hear! I'm here to try and spread joy, smiles and my enthusiasm, so if you enjoyed my nonsense, that means a lot to me 🥰😁
Although I love "I'll insert a picture", I'm glad you've figured out how to insert images. Good work Kay! You're makes look beautiful and your excitement is contageous.
Thank you so much.....I think I'll still 'insert a picture' now and again, just for the nostalgia 😁😁😁. I really enjoyed the challenge of making those, but I'll be doing a couple of simpler makes next, to give my brain a rest 😂😂
Thank you so much for your kind comments. I'm glad you like my sewing, I'm trying to push myself a bit with each project......she says, having just made a simple tote bag😆😆😆
Thank you so much😁. It took me far longer than it should to get this one done! I just love the little jacket too.....I'll have to make one to match for me 😅😅😅
I've made those trousers twice... Making the pockets took longer than assembling the rest of the pieces! But they are my most-worn trousers (made from a tablecloth!!)
I completely agree! I felt as if I'd been sewing for days and I'd only got two pockets on 😆. But like you, I love them and they are going to get a lot of wear. Love that you made yours from a tablecloth, that's amazing 😃😍
Love your cargo trousers. I made that pattern, in pink camouflage fabric but they came out too big for me, I feel like a clown in mine. I also have the mccalls shirt dress so look forward to you making that, will be interested in your opinion on that pattern.
@sharonbishop2651 oh wow, I'd love a pair in pink camouflage 😃😍🤩. But yes, they do come out huge. I've had to put off making the McCalls for the moment as the largest size was going to be a bit tight on the hips unless I did the flared skirt - but I didn't have quite enough of the seahorse fabric for that ☹️. But the pattern pieces are cut out and ready for when I get some suitable fabric, so I will do it!! 🥰😘
Thank you 😊 not having a good day ( family health issues) just watched you and its brightened my day. Love what you've sewn , love the shirt and cargos. Is there any shirt dress patterns that are drop waisted so the tiers start at hip level? Also you are the 1st vlogger I've seen that's shown a prima pattern!! I thought they were taboo or something 😂 I've got loads! Keep up the enthusiasm and keep spreading the joy. ❤
Hi, I'm so sorry you are not having the greatest day, I'm sending a big old hug via the airwaves. I love the Prima patterns, made a few in the past. Maybe the ...er...younger vloggers don't buy Prima 🤷♀️. Yes I saw the latest pattern. I'm going to have a crack at making the waistcoat version first so I can get a reasonable fit. Hoping things get better for you xx
Came because I wanted to tell you you’ve got a mug perched on top of your sewing machine and I hope it’s empty, stayed because I want you to move in next door and be my best friend 😂
What a nice comment, that's so lovely 😍. It is an empty mug and it's from my favourite cafe in Manchester, Nibble ☕️🍰. I'd love to have a best friend next door, we'd have a blast 😅😅. Until that happens, I'm trying to convert as many of my unsuspecting friends as I can to sewing 😂😂😂😂
No, no, can you be my best friend! But I live in Perth, Western Australia, so we can’t live next door. Love your sense of humour, your presentation is so fun. We are similar ages and I agree about the gathers at the waist. I’ve made that shirt dress, and it wasn’t the best. New subscriber.
@caroljohn3843 that is so lovely of you ❤️. I'm really just being me, which is noisy, talkative and enthusiastic. Perhaps I could be a 'roving best friend', wandering round the world, sewing and making friends! Oh what a wonderful life that would be 🤩😍🥰😘
