- Startup and revs of a 2013 Dodge Charger SXT 3.6L V6 with a Pypes Cat Back Exhaust SMC26S, with Street Pro Mufflers, and a K&N Cold Air Intake. Upgraded from the Flowmaster 50 series.
Sounds way better than your last set up ..
Need to hear this on a fly by
Unfortunately I don't have this charger any more and never got around to a drive by - but I can assure you it sounded great and often got mistaken for a V8!
@@dodgechargerdude2432 oh dang! do you have a full parts list for the exhaust build?
@@djalladream89 the full name of the exhaust system is in the description, but essentially it was a catback exhaust made by Pypes with these specific "Street Pro" mufflers that came on the set up. Besides that, I had a K&N cold air intake, and that was all!
@@dodgechargerdude2432 what happened to your charger ? Issues mechanically?
Thanks for the vid adding these to my list now
best v6 exhaust ive heard
Thanks!
NAHHH. I SLAPPED A MRT VERSION ONE CAT BACK PAIRED WITH A FLOWMASTER ORIGINAL 40 THAT SOUNDS 5 TIMES BETTER.
How long did the charger last??? Did u get it brand new or used?
I got the charger used at the time with about 93k miles. Ran great while I had it! Ended up trading it in at around 100k miles for a RT.
How's the drone?
I have one like this with the same car, there is a drone effect if you accelerate moderately between 2000 and 2300 rpm approximately. In slow acceleration, no drone, and if we accelerate fully, we have none either. For my part, I got used to it and I no longer realize it. I think adding Y pipes near the back could completely eliminate them, but the sound would then probably be changed.
😮😮wow that’s close to a Hemi tho
🤣 not even close
Is it fit for charger V6 2018 or not ??
And please share the link from were i can found it because i cant find it please
thubyan it will work with the 2018 model but the exhaust shop will have to do some slight modifications. It can be found on summit racing part number SMC26S
cops ever give you problems for the exhaust being to loud?
Never had any problems with the exhaust being too loud! Unfortunately I don't have this charger any more, but when I would red line it, the exhaust was loud but never too much where any cops would turn their heads. At normal acceleration it had a great rumble but it wasn't invasive.
Bro love the sound where can I purchase this any help thankyou
Did you do a resonator delete as well?
Technically, yes. This Pypes catback exhaust didn't have any resonators on there. Just two mid mufflers. So straight pipe out the back after the middle mufflers.
That's beast. What's the setup
Thanks! This was a Pypes catback with street pro mufflers coming built into the set up in the middle, and no resonators so straight piped out to the back to the tail pipes. Also a K&N air intake.
Where did you get your pypes? I wanna get some but i dont wanna order it off a random ass scammy website and get ripped off
Sorry for the (very) late reply, but I ordered this Pypes exhaust kit off of Amazon. Not sure if it's still available on there or not but it was on there for fairly cheap at the time.
Damn sounds good 👍 what size it the exhaust?
I like
Loud!!!
Nice. I have the same system in my car thing is my mufflers are rattling and I read somewhere I need to get RT hangars did you have the same issue? also there is a plate that holds the muffler in place that is a factory part did you have to have yours removed? Let me know.
thanks.
It does sound like you'll need new hangers since it could be rattling from not being sturdy enough. I brought mine to a muffler shop and they did all of the work adding new hangers and welding, so I'm not entirely sure if they removed the plate that holds the muffler. I may be going back to the shop soon and can run this question by them since I'm curious too.
Nice sound🔥💯
i just bought this kit and unfortunately sounds nothing like yours lol.. mine is still very much quiet. did u use the clamps that came with it or did u have it all welded together?
I did have it welded on by a local muffler shop. What year is your charger? And you bought the same Pypes kit? It may need some time to break in, this video was taken about 3-4 months after I had it installed.
@@dodgechargerdude2432 its a 2014 se 3.6
i bought the pypes cat back with the street pro muffler. theres no mean sound rlly.. almost seems stock with some drone
@@dodgechargerdude2432 were the cats still on urs?
@@drewchamberlain3937 cats were still on this, so straight back it was this Pypes kit. Wish I had a photo of the underneath to check out, but this one had two street pro mufflers on it, not one (not sure if yours has one street pro muffler only?) And no resonators on the back since it was the piping going straight back after the mufflers to the end.
This one here I believe was the one from this video: www.jegs.com/i/PYPES/958/SMC26S/10002/-1?gclid=Cj0KCQjw0K-HBhDDARIsAFJ6UGgIUlyqnT4XdG4xsRb3Gq7amg3oggttLz-qq2Q6lxQW046h1Dgv6-YaAjrvEALw_wcB
@@drewchamberlain3937 I did have a K&N CAI on this car at the time but I don't think it added any sound to the exhaust.
Is the ones u got the smc26s with the street pro mufflers
It comes with a x pipe right? You think if you put a h pipe on instead it would be even deeper?
Yes it does come with an X pipe. From what I remember with this setup, the X pipe sounded very deep and had a nice rumble that you can hear in the video. An H pipe theoretically could make it deeper, but you won't be disappointed with the X pipe that comes with it.
Had my system installed a few days ago and sounds great with the x pipe! Might still try the h pipe with some bigger tips later on though!
Shane Banich after you had this installed did you have any rattle coming from the bumper without exhaust tips on?
sounds like a v8
What's the cost on that setup
Ill answer for you guys since this is one of those typical fuckers who posts a video and doesnt answer. The full catback runs between 600 and 700 ish depending on if you get the tips. If you get a buddy and yall are somewhat mechanically inclined you can install it urself in about 2 hrs
Blizo Brasko Baby! i found these exhausts for around $450-600
SoH Blur where at?
Sorry for the late reply! This was somewhere around $400-500 on Amazon, and it cost a couple of hundred dollars to have it installed at a muffler shop.
