Depends on how hard you are on your maintenance if your heart on your car be hard on your maintenance and then it also comes down to what the previous owner did with the car

Buffing the tailights with a fine polishing compound, would have smoothed out everything, making the wrap easier to install.

When doing when doing vinyl, use soap water. Its lile window tinting. That way you avoid wrong sticking or bubbles.
