Haha I knew all the talk about what you NEED for Caridinas is pure salesman bullsht^^ Have them in my natural dirted aquarium no fuzz no heater no problem. But seeing this is still awsm, thank you for that. I couldn't emphasize enough how much I love it when ppl go out in nature and show how the animals actually live. Best regards
Amazing experience. I had dreams of hiking in mountains and finding something like a creek with colorful freshwater coral (I know it is just a dream) and I can't imagine the excitement of your experience. THANK YOU for also capturing all the parameters of the water.
I recently found your channel and it's fantastic! I'm also thrilled to see a systematics researcher. I look forward to watching your videos and reading your publications!
Hello Chris, thanks so much, wow you give lots of information here about their origin. Chris, I want give a suggestion please, but maybe this will be some more hardy for you and your team, but hope you can do it, maybe you have some plan to go back and check their activities during the night? And want to say happy new year for all, wish more luck and happiness coming on 2023.
i have been to places at night...and much more shrimp active ..for ex. in Sulawesi..they come more close to the surface. About the bee shrimp there is not so much of a difference as not many predators in the creek..so they can be active during the day.
@@chrislukhaup ooh you did it, thanks so much Chris. About Sulawesi in the lake, I don't know much (why they come near surface at night? Increasing of co2, maybe?), but their river shrimp very look like bee shrimp wild type (Mambo bee). I have read about it, their creek/habitat preference is to avoid any predator, but you just give me some new knowledge (they're not always nocturnal)
Honestly I still think that wild bee shrimp are still some of the most beautiful cardina shrimp around regardless of the hundreds of fancy varieties
same, but i am the kind to see what everyone is doing and head the other direction
Their camouflage is so perfect for that environment.

I'd love to hear more about why conductivity is an important parameter for these shrimp.
They are amazing. Thanks for the series.
Great videos from the real shrimp king. More content please, Chris!

Thank You.
It’s so cool seeing them in the wild in their natural habitat!
What tips do you have for breeding them?
Follow what Chris said about their water parameters and suggest you to just copy the breeder who you bought the shrimps and continue to your aquarium
@@Cleeon sure! Now instead of crystal shrimp I am getting galaxy pintos
What’s the TDS measure you use? ppm or microSiemens?
What are the fish that are present in the creek? It looks like a goby species from some of the clips?
Why are these wild types not in the hobby? Absolutely beautiful! ☺️☺️☺️
I'm sure you can find it at some stores and with cheap price, usually they name it black bee or bee shrimp grade C or just bee shrimp
The are
Bamboo forests always look so magical! How strong was the water flow in the stream? Would they prefer a lower or a higher flow in aquaria?
Very low flow. You can see in the video the water is still
Cant wait for you to do a tank set up video

@@Cleeon probably because at night the fish sleep so they can feed in places where during the day they get eaten.
@@chrislukhaupdo you ever come to sulawesi and visit mambo bee shrimp habitat?
Hi, may i know, is this wild type more hardy then selective breed in market? Thank you
These shrimp are extremely hardy and adaptable than your standard commercial caridina.
hi there!! can you

Omg I used to live in Hong Kong and I have been to this stream one time and caught some. Didn’t knew it was rear back then.
