I am from Thailand I would like to keep some caradina shrimps ... I love to see a video of how to use a chiller to a shrimp tank to control the temperature. Here in south east Asia the temperatures are sky high and if you want to have 1-2 caradina tanks investing on air conditioning would be very expensive. It would be great to see shrimp mania showing us a video on how to have a temperature controlled tank 😊
I know it’s hard for you to keep caridina due to high temperature. Aircon would be the best option for you. I have one in my shrimp room incase of hot weather (very rare event in the uk)
Sorry to see all the issues you had with these setups! I'm sure they were frustrating but I'm glad things worked out in the end! Hope those metallic shrimp breed well :D
Nice content as always! You should definitely put those metallic / blue / purple shrimp in another tank. They are absolutely gorgeous. I'm still wondering how that female got trapped at the bottom of the ugf box. Maybe somehow it was in with the other soil that you pre-cycling before you put it in the current ugf box when you started that tank and she went to the bottom then.
Thanks, I already have a dedicated tank with some metallic shrimp hopefully, I will breed the colony of them. My shrimp somehow got to the ugfs all the time, maybe it happens when I clean an air stone or they can get inside when there is no power for some time.
Love the videos. Especially the 3-6 month updates. I been shrimpkeeping for a while myself and still learn from your videos. Your tank making skills are also very good. You should make some detail videos on that also.
I do not know if I have caridina shrimp but i would like to send you some pictures and videos of them.. and my tank. It's pretty basic but i kept guppies in it for about a year.
Im planning to setup one shrimp tank soon and do you think using seachem stability + biodigest for the tank is a good combination? Im new to keeping shrimp so I don't have much experience, awsome video btw 🎉.
Hi do you set-up/start your cycling of tanks by just pure ro water or ro + salts or just plain tap water then after cycling add ro with salts ,Please explain us. Also where can i buy your ugfs from i live in Dubai.
Hi, may i ask what soil do you use? since ada amazonia v1 is no longer available ive been trying new soils, currently cycling glasgarten environment 2 months in and soil has only dropped to 6.4 ph :/
Hey, the soil for Caridina is a big problem now. We still have ADA Amazonia ver1 for sale here in the UK but I spoke with many breeders and all of them complaining that is not as good as it used to be. I'm going to try to use ver2 in my next setup and see how it works. Yes the other brands not lowering the pH good enough I agree
As long as the water flows through there’s no reason it can’t work. But one of the reasons you use glass is so that you can see under the mesh part to see if your is falling through the cracks (especially in the later stages when your soil starts to turn to mud and more will get stuck in the grate) and you can also constantly monitor and see if your flow is consistent (usually I’ll shine a bright light through it and I’ll turn off the air to let everything settle and then I’ll turn it up really high and I’ll see all the suspended particles suddenly start flowing and I can see if there are any spots where less is moving through, if that makes sense)

very nicely made video......good

Awesome, thank you!
I’m glad you mentioned when shrimp start to slow/stop breeding . I’m running into that issue with my crystal reds as well .
Yea it can happen in the old tank that's mean it's time to reset
@@ShrimpMania what if I don’t reset and introduce some new shrimp to the colony think that would work ?
@@d.washington2394 The reason for reset is because your soil has run out of juice over time and stopped buffering the water pH
@@ShrimpMania even though my ph is good at 6?
@@d.washington2394 I would still do a reset if your shrimp don't breed well, there are not much options to fix it

Haha expensive to have the Aircon turned on 24/7 😅
Do you boil the Indian almond leaves before adding to the tank ?
@@refakmakeen5248 I normally soak them in the water for a day or two before placing them in the tank, you can use boiling water to kill all bacteria
How to do a reset if someone has just one tank?

No shrimp left behind!
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Shrimp Borat, greetings to you, one more very good video! Enjoy watching your chanel.

Very awesome
its not mosquito larva. its chironomid larvae
you would love bristlenose plecos for those bad algea tanks
Those are blood worms. A good protein food for ornamental fish
Привет КАК ВСЁ КРАСИВО МАСТЕРУ КЛАСС 👍👍👍
It looks like that one you reset at 15:00 had mosquito larvae in it. Maybe they were eating the shrimp babies?

where do you get that filter?
Man, if you have too many aquariums, why not use their water in new tank instead of waiting for new tank to cycle with new water
Man, for your info bactria live on the surface not in the water.
@@ShrimpMania take some surface too into new tank
@@Maria-mv1zn if you watch the video I used soil from the cycled tank

Wish to have some of these caridinas but they're way too expensive in the Philippines and rare to find. Keeping my 1000's red cherries for now.

How many hours you provide light to your tank per day
around 12
What are those boxes for? I’m ignorant sorry
They are filters

What you feeding your shrimp 🦐
Dead shrimp food, Shrimps affair food, Dead shrimp powder, Shrimp king
How do i make that ugf box by myself? Any ideas?
I agree
There are videos on here just look.
Do you have problems with little bugs that swim fast in the tank? If so what are they? I only just started my shrimp tanks I love them 😊
Sounds like copepods or scuds. Scuds will compete with your shrimp and may eventually prey on shrimplets. Copepods are a sign of a healthy ecosystem.
I think those worms were blood worms not mosquito larvae
yes you right I misspoke
