@@projectilerat2952 Not really. Not everyone's body type is capable of gaining enough mass to fill out shirts that are obnoxiously large. Some shirts would need 4-5 years of intense training AND the genetics to gain enough size to fit remotely well.
@@asterisk606even with the worse genetics, the vast majority of people CAN fill out shirts with regular lifting (naturally, too). But yeah, you're right that it may take years. In the meantime other solutions are great
@@projectilerat2952not really. i have some shirts with 16-17 inch sleeves but i have 14 inch biceps. my father never surpassed 14, but i’m still young so i have a chance. regardless, i’m not gaining 3 inches without starting steroids or training for another 5 years.
I’ve always had broad shoulders and a fairly big chest. So, I have to wear XL t-shirts. It’s weird ‘cause the sleeves are huge! I’ve been trying to figure out how to do this. Thank you for showing my how it’s done.
I have the same problem. I have broad shoulders and barrel chest just by bone structure but my arms are 13.5 inches flexed. So most shirts look weird on me
@@ChadKirk lol same, I’m 16 and 5’6 and my arms are 13.75 flexed. Shirts that properly fit me look weird not because my arms are super tiny but because since I have broad shoulders and a big chest it makes my arms in the width Dimension look small than it is.
This is such a helpful video I as a absolute noob in sewing I did each sleeve in hour, can't imagine how it would look without any tutorials, now I look in that black tee like a rock 💪💪
2:55 I managed to do this with other instructions, but I don't understand this part. It's not forming any kind of knot. But this would be much better way to do it, than the way I used.
Thanks for the video. Seems like every t-shirt I try on has this problem. This wouldn't be an issue if t-shirt manufacturers just made the sleeves tighter to begin with...jacked thor arms can stretch them to fit.
The problem is fat people. :( They don't like their shoulders looking "squeezed" in the sleeves; it emphasizes the flab. With so many fat people in the country right now and manufacturers wanting to pander to them, I don't see this problem going away soon.
I found on Amazon Next level apparel T-shirt’s fit pretty good. Better than others by far and they’re only 9 bucks each. Although lately I’ve been getting them and they’re two inches or so longer in length which I don’t like unless I tuck them in.
Regarding sewing by hand, you can create your first stitch, then tie your knot wrapping the ends of the thread with the needle and thus securing the first stitch with the knot. -An alternative way to create a knot at the start. And knot the end of the hand-sewn alteration the same way.
What if the guy wants 2 inches taken off the sleeve? I'm thinking I'm going to need to go into the shirt as well because the taper would be too much. He said that would be fine if I have to. I'm sure it's big as well since he lost weight.
I have worked out consistently for 2 years going on 3 this year and I am a big guy through the mid section so my arms arnt quite big enough to match the sleeve so thank you
Thomas - i am truly enjoying your recent videos (no offense to Antonio). Would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations for a good residential use sewing machine. thanks!
I personally have the Singer MX60 which is good for basics, but there are heavy duty machines that will go through thick fabric, and machines with things like programmable embroidery, so it depends what you're going to use it for.
1:37 hehe not braggin.. but what happens if the shirt chaffes ur biceps... ive had shirts that ar fairly snug aroud thw biceps..and make my arms a il sore ... :(
I'm new to sewing & self tailoring. The back stitch is used quite a bit in these instructions. Any suggestions for those of us with older sewing machines that do not have a "back stitch" or reverse stitch feature on our machines?
Took one evening for a noob with some kind of toy needle package, with very little thread, and missing most items E: The result is great, but I don't know how long it will last.
for me tshirts are too baggy on my belly when they are fitting for the shoulders/chest. Or fitting on my belly when they are too small on the shoulders/chest... :(
came out perfectly..i hand sewed .a lesson i learnt is to use a shirt you dont care about first ,and dont cut so much off the sleeve else it looks stupid.
Or, you know, do the work and get the body you want. You can get decent results in a month. Arms don't have to be huge, just contoured. And T-shirts are cheap, buy ones that fit.

This is a great tip for women, too. All those "unisex" shirts tend to be really baggy in the sleeves.
I love how idiot proof that video, even telling how to secure the thread at the end. And logically assumes that men don't have a sewing machine
XD
Great video - Thomas - can't imagine how much work you put it - so many details well explained and displayed!
Agreed. Extremely professional and well done. Not to mention helpful!
Thank you. I work out so much and I see so much growth and it gives me an amazing feeling which goes away as soon as I put my shirt on. Not anymore :)
This is a big issue for me 😩 I was looking for a solution and I'm glad I found this video. Thank you, Antonio!
I really appreciate you for making this video.
Especially for who doesn't have a sewing machine.
Thank you so much Antonio and team❤️

You are a very nice human being
How do you fix baggyness in the back of the armpits even after the arm holes are slimmed??
You have to sew it all the way to the armpit. Basically changing the size of the entire sleeve.
how do you put the pin in while wearing the shirt?
Carefully.
its not even that I have small arms its just the heckin t shirt nobody understands this issue but its real

OMG THXXX IT TURNED OUT SO GOOD
I definitely prefer to sew this kind of project with a machine, but I'll sometimes do it by hand while socializing cause the machine is noisy.
I’ve been using little safety pins and pinning them underneath.. no one has noticed. But yes I need to take the time to do this. Thanks you

I would probably drop the small amount of money a sewing machine costs and just get a new one. It’s not like they’re that expensive
You could do the final stage by hand
I look this up frequently!..... great video!
Awesome! Thank you!
Hey I bought a large leather jacket that should've gotten as medium. Is my style screwed or are their ways I can compensate for my leather jacket?
Kind hard 😰
Thanks bro, my son wanted a Pokémon shirt that was way too big for him. I am gonna try this out now, wish me luck.
I simply by smaller size like many body builders do.
Lmao what really sucks is that I do have the arms of Thor but my mom got me a shirt that is like 50x my size
Excellent step by step instructional video.
Now i can show off my mooscles
Great tutorial !
How about a longsleeve shirts.. I like my long sleeve shirt thight.

Hi Sir Antonio. What do you think about dark academia fashion? Can you please make a video on it?
I searched the whole internet but I couldn't find the smallest tie knot. I like wearing spear point collar but I can't wear it with bug knots
What the name of the navy blue tees he used, could I have the name please

Ok let me get through the 18 ads first thanks.
WHY NOT JUST USE THE PIN AND RUN WITH IT?
I have large biceps, move sleeves hug my arms pretty snug
Nice video, thanks a lot!

WOW! You make a better sewing teacher than most women. My son is lean like the model and needs these instructions.
Thanks I can definitely see the whole thing
Get a smaller size shirt lol
doesnt affect sleeve sizes
Or skull crushers+bicep curle
wont work unless you bulk 200 pounds
Dont tailor the shirt, tailor the body
Adam Ragusea vibes.
Why I tailor my body, *NOT* my garments
I have a better solution; BUY FITTED ATHLETIC T-SHIRTS A SIZE SMALLER THAN YOUR STANDARD SIZE!!!!!
I have a trick to "look more muscular": Work out.
Cringe
Just buy one..jesus..
Or, you know, do the work and get the body you want. You can get decent results in a month. Arms don't have to be huge, just contoured.

wont get anywhere without bulking first mate, working out only makes you toned not big
Good video mate. I don't have a machine but will give the hand stitch a go
or just workout and have bigger muscles lol
