This is by far the most complete and fulfilling guide for a guy on how to have a T-shirt in modern age. I had been suffering from confusion for the past 2 to 3 years, not anymore. Thanks mate !
Wow. So a man can actually look good in something so informal, casual as a T-shirt. I fell I'm discovering a whole new spectrum of possibilities right there. Thanks!
If it's a T-shirt, then definitely crew neck look best. I actually think it looks even more masculine than any V neck (especially low V... Ewww). Make sure shoulders fit just right, that's just the most important thing. The rest, well... most of it, can depend a lot on the style you're going for or even worked on. The super long T-shirts shouldn't even be mentioned 😬
Thank you Antonio! I’ll never regret buying a t shirt ever again. You should make a video for denim jeans too though. It is far more impossible than t shirt fit.
I feel like buying shirts can be a gamble sometimes cause they never fit right after I laundry them. Do you have any tips to maintaining the fit of the shirts you buy?
this is the problem i run into... some shirts fit perfect when i buy them but after just 1 laundry they are no longer fitting to my liking at all. and i even laundry them correctly too :(
Shirts are gabble some fit well other are tight some way too buggy it’s a toss up that’s why I’ll buy three or four of the same shirt and see what one fits the best or holds up the best
While I don't wear t-shirts, I have a couple of bamboo undershirts that feel amazing. The weird thing though, is they really stink at the end of the day. It reacts with sweat in a way that makes them just reek, and I find myself trying to find an excuse to get home earlier just so that I can shower. Apparently bamboo fabric promotes bacterial growth much more than, say, cotton. Anywho, I would say these tips also work for polo styles.
This is the best and most detailed video on UA-cam regarding proper t-shirt fit. Thank you for sharing your excellent and important knowledge. Keep up the great work, and many thanks all the way from Tasmania, Australia.
Actually imo, 0:26 that t shirt is perfect size. Makes the shoulders look wider because it is not skin tight/ fitted. Which actually makes u look smaller in the shoulders, unless ur shoulders are really developed .
Team V-Neck! Now, I'm a short dude. I fould I look kinda better put together and with a better fit if I tuck my t-shirt, but of course I feel flattened whenever I do this. Antonio, tucked-in t-shirts: yay or nay?
Can you please make 'n video explaining everything about suits... Everything from versatility, accessories, shoes, etc... Plz explain things like colours, formal styles to casual, etc... Thanks for the great content
Antonio, outstanding video! Its got the kind of style info i wish i knew when i was a teen. However, as a Disabled Veteran with 3 children (2 with special needs) i can't afford alterations from a Tailor. Would you consider creating a part 2 to this video in which you teach us how to take these measurements properly zo we can do self alteration? Thank you for your time and consideration.
I tend to have to pull my tshirts forward from the front because my back shape and size proportionate to my waist creates kind of a gap. Is there a fix?
I can't decide between an XS and a S on this double knit crew neck long sleeve t-shirt. The XS makes me look younger and flatters my good shape more but just a little snug in the armpits that I'm conscious about it. The S is more comfortable, still looks great but not as flattering. Is a little snug in the armpits expected for slim fit size? This is before any washing/drying.
Where do you find a quality t-shirt that does not break the bank? Find shirts over time start to stretch out. How can you tell the material is strong and quality?
I am in the same boat. Lean and muscular. My large pecs and shoulders make me look like a douchebag in a large but the xl is too long and too big around the waist. Any luck finding anything that works.

Son of a Tailor is perfect if you are looking for a tailor made t-shirt, you just upload your measures and you can design t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts and even pullovers in their website.
Totally agree with this!. Just got the Tencil and the wool t-shirt in yesterday and with their recommend measurements, they fit absolutely perfect on me and the material is high quality.
The problem I've always had is with t shirts being far too short. They're always made in Nicaragua or Honduras where they've never seen a tall person in their life let alone made clothes for them. Everyone is underfed(probably also underpaid) so encountering a person over 5'8" is uncommon. I'm only 6' but even 3X shirts i buy end up like belly shirts and my gut hangs out whenever i raise my arms. Make them longer geesh!
Also, one size does not fit all and one style does not suit all. What about preference? Most of my clothes are loose fit and no, I'm not fat! (very thin 48yo actually) I do what I like, wherever I like, whenever I like! I'm a pure Gen-Xer!
Great video on T-shirt fit that no one teaches guys! Team V is way more flattering than crew. Fit and Fabric is key. All t-shirt makers should be using this vid as a guide as most don't fit that well unless they use the right fabric (poly or cotton /spandex) which thankfully they finally are! Young dudes have no idea how lucky they are with all the recent modern advances in stretch fabric that werent being used just 10 yrs ago for men!
so i am in a situation and could use a bit of advice. i still have shirts from 2012 i wore in highschool its been years since i did a wardrobe make over. i've added shirts but havn't taken any away. when your lift your arms up. are you lifting them above your head like reaching for the sky? or lifting them up shoulder height. i got shirts that cover my stomach at shoulder or a bit higher but if i reach up like grabbing something off a shelf. it will show almost to the belly button. are these shirts to short? they sit right other wise
Hi.. my chest size is 36 and I have always been going with slim fit small size tshirt which has chest size of 36.6 or 37. If I go for regular fit am i supposed to go for a tshirt with chest size 36.6 that is XS or should I go for small which is 39. Help me out.. should I follow my close measurements. If I go according to my close measurements then what's the point of regular fit?
Sir I am a teenager I want to look good in T-shirt but I am always worried about fitting I have Google on tips on T-shirt fitting and I found some are saying to give 1-2 inch of extra fabric on either side and some are suggesting to give 2-3 inch of extra fabric ..Sir Please help me to suggest so I can achieve a perfect style.
I was looking for fit recommendations for femme clothes and stumbled on this. It's all such good advice and explained so easily! Totally agree with getting clothes tailored to fit This is awesome!!
Team Crew Neck. and my problem is (if it can be called that) is that I work out and my chest and shoulders are outpacing the rest of me! Now most T-shirts are baggy on me or too tight in the chest (BTW that's my old picture before i started to work out!)
Yep, that’s how a t-shirt should fit. Of course, it really helps if the body you’re putting it on looks like that too. Oh, and I’m LMAO when he said “if you have a round body type, I’m going to encourage you to wear a different type of shirt”. Read…if you’re over weight, don’t try to cram all of that into a t-shirt. 😂
I’m here to shop for some tshirts for my brother. He’s in his 30’s so he’s looking for better quality tshirts. Are there any great quality tshirt brands that won’t break the Christmas bank? He likes crew necks. Any pointers?
I'm only 5'5", so my biggest problem is usually shirt length. A lot of shirts go way too low for me, so they end up bunching up on the bottom. It's pretty frustrating.

excellent, excellent content. All of it. This confirmed that my t-shirts actually fit correctly
Both v and crew necks. Depends on tee cut
Actually imo, 0:26 that t shirt is perfect size. Makes the shoulders look wider because it is not skin tight/ fitted. Which actually makes u look smaller in the shoulders, unless ur shoulders are really developed .

Nice Video---My issue is that almost all of my T-shirts are from vacation spots and the choices of style are pretty limited. :)
I’m not even a big person but I have a long torso so I have to get a XXL just for the length. Otherwise I would normally wear XL mostly
