    When we say we want a tutorial this is what we mean! All of my questions were answered. Ive never seen a more thorough tutorial for starting locs with the interlocs method.

      As you can see from this video, this is why SL are expensive. It is a lot that goes into it to ensure the parts, grid and locs are correct. I applaud QueenEleem for tackling this. I have SL and no way would I have ever attempted this on my own. 🥰

      The price essentially average $25-$35 hourly which is small for the work involved. Tedious , detailed work , nine hours and up standing causing back and foot aches.

    I’ve just shaved all of my hair off in December, tomorrow will make it two months since then, I’ve had sister locks when I was younger * I’m 17 now* I didn’t like them bc I would constantly get bullied because I had them. I took them out when I was in the seventh grade one by one on my own with a safety pin. I’ve had a journey with my hair and even though I’m young... I know what I want now because I’ve went through so much with my hair already.
    I am older now and I want micro Locs.... I plan on installing them myself of December this year. Your videos have given me so much advice. Thank you! New subscriber here lol.
    And yes can you please explain the interlocking method a bit more lol 😂

    • @QueenEleem
      @QueenEleem  4 роки тому +1

      Man kids are awful. I was bullied in high school for having my hair natural (and by other ppl of color!) It’s usually other ppls insecurities that cause them to be so cruel so I’m glad you’re keeping yourself open to a microloc style even after their actions. And I’m so glad to help in any way I can. I’ll add video on the diff rotations and how to interlock specifically to my list 🙂

    Meeeeeen! You are one smart cookie to figure all this out, especially if you are not a loctician! I couldn’t even get crotchet braids and that’s supposed to be super easy. I wear my hair in 2 braids and I can’t even get the line straight! But you’ve definitely inspired me to make straighter lines and I’m gonna try for 4 braids cos I’m thinking if this mad woman (cos it’s crazy even attempting this with no training) can do this super complex hairstyle girl the least you can do is part your hair in 4! It was super cute watching you explain it, although it sounded like Latin to me but it is great for those who have the gift for hair or the intelligence to keep up, I was already lost at the o’clock explanation. Your hair is coming out beautifully and really great video, thoroughly enjoyed watching it!😊

    Congratulations! You have made very extensive micro loc tutorials! I cut my SLs two years ago. I have sporting my hair loose. I decided to loc again. Since COVID, it seems very hard to find a SL consultant or a micro loc loctician that will not nickel and dime you for a install. I refuse to pay $1200-$2000! I 'am in NY! I` am so happy I found you and Tay La Dawn! You both gave me the inspiration to install microlocs myself. I bought my Loc buddy's book, THE KNOTTY TRUTH. (I still have her original book) I purchased your eBook. I needed to know how to customize my grid. Your book was on point! Thank you for taking the time to create these tutorials! Amazing video! Subscribed immediately. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a parting video. I finished installing my DIY micro locs in 1st January and researching how to part my hair or how to get a good grid was sooooo difficult. It was by far one of the hardest parts of the process and it really demoralised me at some points because I love the look of a neat grid system.
    Because I couldn’t find anything concrete online, I eventually gave up and tried my best with what I could do. My grid is probably SUPER WONKY and I know for sure that my locs are different sizes all over.
    Watching you makes me want to start again on some level) your work is amazing!

I started with braids, but switched them to twists to lose the braid pattern faster, but even now, there are a few locs that have split into 2 curls, and I have to interlock those when it happens.

    I am so glad to have come across your channel. You have definitely given me the go ahead to start my sisterlocks journey. I am just very sceptical of doing it myself so I will look for a qualified loctition to start it for me. I will be following your channel diligently in order to make sure my journey remains the best it can possibly be. God bless you. ❤

    I am sooo glad I stayed up till 3am watching microlock/sisterlock videos because I found you!! LMAO, wow! I don't even know what to say, thank you so much for documenting and sharing this. You will definitely be a guideline for me when I eventually decide to take the plunge because lord knows my pockets aren't deep enough to get this done by a Sisterlock technician even though I love the style, THANK YOU!!

    This video is great and has inspired me to do my own! But because I'm such a visual learner, I need to see detailed video(s) on how you did your parting method and make the parting tool with Microsoft Word. Hopefully, you'll be able to do so. Thank you.

    Hi sis, I have been considering locing my hair for years. I think I am finally ready and since the prices for salon loc's are not in my budget at this moment, I am considering home loving. Wish me luck!!! Your videos have been such a vibe and motivator. Wish me luck!!!

    Wow! I love how precise you got all the math for the parting system. Just subscribed. Can't wait to see your results and progress as your locs mature!! I've been looking for more videos of ladies who have started locs on 18" or longer hair like I plan to in March when my Sisterlocks are established. Also documenting my journey on YT 😊

    Man oh man oh man. I can't believe you're doing these yourself. Your most recent video popped up in my newsfeed. I had to see the before results😁. I know you will be excited once you're finished to only have to do retights. I have SL. It will be 2yrs in a couple of months. I only use my water mixture(16 oz bottle mixed w/no more than 5 drops of an essential oil-that lasts about 1 1/2-2wks). Believe me it's enough. Be aware of videos w/folks using products etc. They're not needed. NO ACV rinse though. No products. You will be fine w/SL shampoo or clarifying shampoo. Best of luck w/finishing. New subbie.

    Hi Queen,
    My name is D’Anecia. I love that your locking your hair!! I chose this year to be my year and I to would want interlocks. I felt that I can do then but I never really saw a video that explained how there created. I knew it was more to it. I would love if you can chat with me about creating my grid so I can start my journey. I feel I can do this. Also how you created the tool to keep track of the size as you go. These videos are very helpful just would like a little more information.

    • @QueenEleem
      @QueenEleem  4 роки тому +1

      Hi DAnecia! Honestly the grid almost got me 😅 I did my mini braid grid twice before feeling comfortable and I took 1 full day to create my final mini braid grid for my install. I’m going to make a video on it soon. For the sizing tool, I made that using word and I’m gonna make a vid on that too soon!
