I love you for breaking it down. I totally understand the length of time it took you. Hell, I’ve taken three weeks, to finish individual braids. You did an awesome job. ❤❤
Yes I did share your tutorial of how to do DIY loc extensions on my Facebook page. You have been a great help to me. So I want others to be😊 blessed with your talent. Thank you once again God Bless
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for this tutorial! I been looking for how i can do this. I love how u added some things we can do in the midst of doing the loc extensions cuz i know it an take so long! Yours came out soo beautiful 😍😍😍 How long do u plan on leaving them in for? And can these be permanent? I want mines to be permanent 😂
Hi queen ! First of all, I’m glad you enjoyed my vid 🙏🏽! & yes it was a loooooong time putting them in lol 😂 i thought id never finish lol 😂 but To answer your question, I installed them to give me more styling versatility & to prevent tension from styling at medium length but yes these can stay in permanently, cuz guhhh ain’t nobody spending all that money just to take it back out lol, but once my natural hair gets back length I plan on cutting the extension part off… maybe 🤔 well, I don’t know 🤷🏽♀️ I guess I’ll see cuz I might shave my hair bald next month, I’m spontaneous like that lol 😆 but yes, you do what you gotta do sis till them tiny jokers get done! Hats, scarves, & wigs are a blessing lol good luck in your journey!!! I’m confident they will turn out great on you 🥰
Hi ☺️, I’m not sure for certain but Imo, I believe so , maybe you can go up farther enough from the end of your loc since it’s not hard & mature yet bc in the beginning stages ur natural Locs can sometimes unravel or slip. So I would suggest you test a trial loc to see how it holds up. Bc I would hate for you to do ur whole head & it begin to unravel using this method, but I honestly think you should be fine nonetheless. It may not be ideal but you could even try using a touch of product to harden them at the part hair is added. I appreciate you , & good vibes sent ur way for whatever you decide ☺️.
@@intheknowatlanta9751 Ty, & yes it is 3 strand plaited/braided down from where the extension is added. I tried the twist initially but that didn’t go well lol.
hi i have micro braid locs. i had them professionally extended with premade extensions which are now slipping down and in many many cases have slipped all the way out...can this method help me to save the remaining locs i have? thanks 😊
Oh no😬 … hate that is happening to your Locs, but I’d suggest trying a loc or two with my method first as a tester, just to be sure of no slippage. Also test by shampoo/washing with them etc I can’t give you 100% guarantee bc I don’t know the health of your hair etc, but honestly I think it should work out especially if your Locs are mature & you do method exactly like in my vid… ty for watching queen. I appreciate you
Why not go back to the professional that did them?!? If you do anything then anyone that touches your locs is not going to take responsibility if they mess up ...m
Hiii ☺️, I’m still getting used to it especially being so long , but I retie differently & I have figured out a quicker way to retie, I use my fav oil spray & more , but nothing major as far as maintenance, eventually I do plan on doing a video on how I keep it up.
Ty for the compliment 🥰! To answer your question….It was a little stiff initially but not extreme, I noticed that after washing & treating it , it was very laxed & flowed like my natural Locs, & after I moisturized it with my fav oil spray it was more softer & simply perfecto 👌🏽
Good question. So far personally I haven’t had issues as such but I do believe there can be factors to consider such as the location you inserted the extension & the health of your Locs prior to installation. For instance if you install it to low on a weak thin piece of loc it may slip out or like if it is brittle from over processed hair etc you could possibly run into issues as you mentioned.
Did you make them all the same length or try to naturally layer ? I want to try but I think I’m overthink how I can make sure it looks naturally layered
My Nubian Queen SiStar yes I use your method and LOVES the Jazzy Way $$$$$$$$$$$$$&& I have a question I have had many locs extensions to slide out. Can you give me any advice how to correct this…. Ok I just went to my restroom mirror and did just as you have shown in this video. IM SCREAMING THANK YOU MY SISTAR… THANK YOU… I used the big needle to pull hair through my Micro locs WRONG… and I did not use the method of small hair pieces as you have shown how to go into the hair and get the long pieces of hair. And I did braid it very tightly. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@lucillebarker4003 hi queeeeeeeen !!!! 😘😘, ty for obliging Mrs jazzyjenn.. (not me speaking in 3rd person) 😆 … but just for clarity, we’re you saying your Locs slipped out prior to trying method or after?
I don’t think anyone pays 9k for loc extensions. That’s just not a thing I’ve ever heard. And no average loctician would expect to make that off one client. Maybe if someone is wealthy and can blow the money on a famous stylist but otherwise no. Tops maybe 3k
I thought same thing initially but You have to consider length , which most average ppl don’t get 20” microlocs either, so yes if 14” or so it’s around 3k-5k. This is why I diy’d it. Ty for watching.
@@jazzyjennshighwayyou’re spot on. I just got my 14inches loc extensions and was quoted 4700 with hair. But found someone else to make 400 locs for 1500 and installed them for 1800. Way to go investing all that time on yourself and saving thousands, you did an amazing job! ❤

I have had my locs for 6 year and paid $850 just for the Install without extensions And I had about a 3 inch Afro, so I can imagine 20 inch locs would be quite a bit more. I wish I had the patience and the shoulder strength to do my own hair like that. That is an amazing cost to save. Great video, by the way.
@cre8tivethinking859 ikr!!! “Shoulder strength “ lol 😂… but honestly It wasn’t bad at all cause I literally took my time & didn’t let it stress me or my shoulders out at all lol. And yes , 20” would be a down payment for a house for that length but most folks don’t add ext that long for the cost , I knew x what I wanted, so I did what I had to do right there at my house lol so I say you can do it sis if you really want it. & Ty for the compliment, have a great day
