I'm on Blender 4.0 now, and this tutorial still worked with flying colors! My only advice is if you notice that the color of your explosion looks a bit off, switch your Color Management from the new AGX to Filmic to make it look more like the tutorial. Or, you can adjust the Blackbody Tint value in the Principled Volume node to make it look more to your liking. Thanks for the tutorial!
what's wrong with cg explosions is that they just pop out of nowhere and burn from the outside to inside. While in real life the fuel is vaporised first, so there is this mist of fuel that starts burning from the inside and as it burns the hot gases expand in volume that makes the explosion expand into a big cloud and ends with the mist burning inside out and residue smoke inside expanding.
hello, working in 4.0 and there's no blackbody intensity option in the principled node anymore, what is the work around for this? also, when i go to import the openVDB files, i cant find a cache_fluid folder anywhere, any ideas on why this is?
during the shading phase, the smoke density all looks fine but anything to do with my flame_noise either changes nothing, or makes huge fire coloured cubes, please help
In the shading part i am not getting anything like that.. exactly followed the steps and rechecked it but it doesnt emit any colors just as normal color of the default cube in viewport
Thank you for the video. I followed all the steps but I can't get the orange colour of the explosion to appear like in the beginning of your video... I have to investigate...
Did you ever find out anything on this? I ran into the exact same problem and I can't figure out what step I'm missing that's causing the color problem.
Hey Man I've just completed your tutorial and it's looking great however it says it's going to take a long time to render, so I changed the render engine to Eevee however the result looks completely different in a much worse way(not the quality but like the colours disappear and stuff). I'm not sure why this is do you think you could help.
@@simon3934 I did an EEVEE version duplicating the flame_noise object, making each a slightly different size. Then made each a different shader changing main color, one to black and one to red. You don't get the shading effect, but you do get variation.
@@AlbinThorburn I am on blender version 3.2.1 which i think is the newest version of blender but its like it just closes when i open the shading tab, no crash tab or anything comes up it just closes automaticly, nothing comes up when i search about this problem, the only thing that comes up is developer blender org or something, but there is no info there about this problem at least what i think.
@@AlbinThorburn One more thing, I'm on the smoke/fire effects and for some reason even though I followed your steps the fire seems to come after key 40, when I made it at keyframe 25. How can I fix this, if it's even possible?

wow man and i thought cg matter knew every thing about blender explosions🙌
Your amazing at what you do. Got me back up and running. Everything is much simpler and clearer now. Thanks my dude!
Wow, that's awesome to hear! I'm glad you found it useful 😊
That billowing effect with the shape keys has some great applications.
Mind blown!
I'm a big fan
Thanks for the tutorial! A creative method to take control of the shape of the simulation 👍
Thank for the helpful tutorial.
what i great video thanks for explaining everything
Thanks! Glad you liked it
Another helpful video! Thanks for doing what you do!
Thanks! :D

Thanks for tutorial. Future tutorial request is curling water around bottle like realflow, please ))
Sounds awesome!
route, and connect it to my computer system, will it be as simple as creating one track and play a composition through it, recording it, then

Hello,
Thanks for the tuto it's great !
You could use the graph editor, that’s not how a mushroom shaped explosion rises. Not eased from both ends.
That's a good idea!
Great new upload!
Thanks! :D

You are genius in blender 🥰🥰🥰🥰 love from india 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Helped me much 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Genius
at 10:46 you added the attribute node and it instantly got the red colour, mine did not, any ideas why?
the shader nodes you are using doesnt add flame colour in evee can you do the shading for evee i have invested a certain amount of time in this
very nice how two add dust at explotion
THE FRUIT HAS SPOKEN
haha i totally agree bro!
muy buen Tut! muchas gracias!
De nada!
Could you tell your settings for rendering the animation??
I added the attribute node but didn’t see any color stil
Does it not work with evee?
hey im om blender 3.6 and the the fire doesnt appear to me i dont know why
same

Diid you solve this? I have the same problem
Thanks… I did everything but once I close the app and open it again, I won’t see the explosion again
Everything I set is still there cause I saved it
Whitch Blender it is? And how many Resolution Divisions of Smoke Domain in finall render ?
soft once you've gone beyond the soft length accidentally. i'm tempted to do everytNice tutorialng in the sa step sequencer rather than
I'm not sure I understand your question :/
I don't understand why in my VDB, I only get density_noise and flame_noise.
Why do you get react_noise and fuel_noise?
Hmm I'm not sure I never use those values anyways:/
WOW i had no idea it is that easy.... How long would it take to render with lets say a 1070 ?
I think it was 15 minutes or so on my 1070 :)
In the shading part i am not getting anything like that.. exactly followed the steps and rechecked it but it doesnt emit any colors just as normal color of the default cube in viewport
same here, once he attached the attribute his turned red, mine did nothing

Can you add your own color gradient instead of using black body colour?
Of course! :)
@@AlbinThorburn I'd love to see how you'd do that. Great tutorial btw. Been a Maya user but seriously thinking of swapping

he used cycles so that the shading part would work/look better, if u switch from cycles to Eevee, the shading work would basically disappear

To download soft soft is the download free or do you have to pay for it?
What's soft soft? xD If you mean blender, yeah it's completely free :)
Make big room sir
When i open the shading workspace tab in blender it just crashes or closes blender. does anyone know how to fix to this issue.
Hmm that's wierd, I've never run into that before. Perhaps try a newer version of blender?

When I created the effects emitter, I created an abomination even though I followed the steps you gave. Is this normal?
