    In this video I'll show you how you can create explosions in blender, so that means we are going to go over: how to use cell fracture in blender to create the fractures, then how to simulate the explosion & shade it. Hope you like it!

    Hey cool, a simulation of what my computer's gonna look like after I render all this!

      @@edinspiegel Great tutorial man. I'm trying to make a bursting tire, so i need it to not explode into pieces but... well burst. Any idea how to go about that?

    • @edinspiegel
      @edinspiegel  6 місяців тому +1

      Hmm - I think what I would try is to basically go in with the knife tool, and create like flaps in the tire - this is really difficult to explain but what I mean is, you have your center point, where you want the cuts to kinda go outwards from that point, but still be attached to the rest of the wheel on their end - but not to each other - I hope that makes sense - then I would probably add all the parts I want to stay solid to a vertex group - and then use that as the pin vertex group in the next step - which would either be going in with some cloth simulation to simulate the effect or some softbody simulation - you'll just have to see what looks best - I hope that helps & makes sense!@@niemanickurwa

      @@edinspiegel Yeah I was thinking pinning parts of it might be a good idea. I'll give it a try thanks mate! I was even thinking maybe a cloth sim with some kind of force field what do you think?

    • @edinspiegel
      @edinspiegel  6 місяців тому +1

      @@niemanickurwa yeah no problem! - that could work! Or maybe you could also try to use a sphere with a collision effect on it & then animate it scaling up to push the tire open - but i dont really know what would look better (force field vs sphere with collision)

    Awesome tutorial! Though for some reason my explosion disappears after I bake it and doesn't appear in the render either. Would you happen to know any way to fix this?

    I am trying to make a liquid explosion like mud and which material preset is fit for this?

    • @edinspiegel
      @edinspiegel  6 місяців тому +2

      I'd personally start by just adding a mud pbr texture f.e. this one might work: polyhaven.com/a/brown_mud_03 - especially if you have motion blur, nobody will really see the detail, but if that image texture ends up not working, you could also try a procedural approach like demonstrated in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/2xkD5OASXnE/v-deo.html
      Hope that helps.

    Good explenation but extremely bad choice of video, most of the time you dont even know what object or whatever u have selected

  • @AustinWallis

    After connecting all of your parts together how did you mass select the empties to then make them breakable. I'm trying to do that however I'm having to select them individually and there are over 800 of them. lol
    Great video by the way! :D

      Hey there - I'm glad you enjoy the video! - To answer your question: I selected them in the outliner - so what I mean is since they all have the same name, they are all grouped together in the outliner - so I just went to the first constraint selected it, scrolled down to the last constraint & shift selected it - I hope that helps!

    • @incineratorfilms
      @incineratorfilms 5 місяців тому

      if your trying to add it to a regular video outside of Blender, one way is to set the background color as green or black, a color not present in the animation, then render and export it, then use chroma key/greenscreen for green, or blending mode for black or white backgrounds

      Hey there, so I think the problem is that not all objects that are selected, in particular the active one, have a Rigidbody physics effect on them, so the fix should be to just add a rigidbody physics to the active object - I hope that helps!

      yeah you can just use 100 - but it will change the look - you'll have to experiment and compare 1000 with 100 maybe 200 - just to see what looks best to you - I hope that helps!
